staff and cleanliness
Comfortable hotel with good facilities. Helpful staff. Air conditioning didn't work, so room very warm. At 250 Euros (excluding breakfast) it's ridiculous that you aren't offered free internet access (this is charged separately).
Early closing of Café Espresso
Efficiet reception despite heavy conference traffic, and a very nice hotel for the weekend The bathroom drain made odd nioses and it turns out the room next door had waste water coming up through the drain
The quality of the hotel was obvious when we arrived. There was an initial problem at reception as they were fully booked and had trouble getting us a room. This was despite booking 7 months in advance. However, it was quickly sorted and we were given an upgrade. The room was excellent and the location very handy for where we wanted to go. As above, there was an initial problem at reception as they were fully booked and had trouble getting us a room. This was despite booking 7 months in advance. However, it was quickly sorted and we were given an upgrade. We didn't consider breakfast as we thought it too expensive. Overall though everything else was very good.
the pool and sauna were not comfortable and big enough for the such big hotel
The room was great and it was a smoking bar in the reception
overall facility and services were very luxurious
Piano bar long walk to second bedroom block
We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The suite was very spacious and clean; hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Location - quite central.
the staff at check-in on April 30th was very helpful, available and smiling. everything was on the top of excellence: spa, massage, room, a few steps from city center, closed parking, and the best buffet breakfast I ever seen. I will definitively come back! the staff at the check-out on May 1st did not pay attention to us, not even a smile, very cold and not interested in asking us if we had a pleasant stay. I felt like I was not an interesting customer because I had a good deal on internet. it was sad to leave like this after a so beautiful (too short) stay.
location, comfort and smiling face of staff
Absolutely perfect service; friendly, knowledgeable, timely. Concierge even programmed our rental car GPS for our trip to the airport!
everything - superior hotel, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, faultlessly clean room good facilities.
It was the perfect choice. Everything was fine.
spa area cost of water!! I do also think that the rates are very expensive
Great Location and very comfortable. Large modern rooms and friendly staff.
The price we paid for a five star hotel was an absolute bargain. We stayed for 5 nights and can have no complaints at all. Location is excellent - it was handy for the city centre, the main station and the underground. Rooms were spacious, very quiet and immaculate. I really can't fault it.
Room service Reception not very friendly. Location of the hotel is not good.
Pool and sauna are great! Wifi not available in hotel bar
Very comfortable, easy access to railway
The SPA was great, location of the hotel very convinient 50m from S-Bahn Airport-Center
Not as nice as the other hotels we stayed at during our week away
The location is great. Perfect connection to ground public transportation and shopping areas. Rooms are design and modern with great view. Great breakfast buffet. The nude visitors of the Spa & Wellness section are not acceptable in an international hotel ! As courtesy and respect for other cultures and nationalities, a minimum dresscode should be respected. Nude hotel guests or visitors were using the spa facilities. Also the pillows of the beds are too big and hard.
everything was perfect.....room, spa, position, restaurant and bar....
The rooms are very comfortable, clean and quiet. The spa is fantastic!! Since the hotel is located just beside the S-Bahn station, moving around the city is easy, even in the evenings. The park in front of the hotel is also lovely.
Located right by the S-Bahn station and bus stop but soundproofing excellent so no noise. Short walk to shops etc. Excellent restaurant. Tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast was expensive (20 euros) and not included in price.
Spa facilities Bar prices very expensive
The attention and professionalism of the staff, the quality of the breakfast, the hotel's facilities The hotel has a very high-standard spa facility, unfortunately areas like the pool are "textile free"
1. To far away from the main station
Friendliness from staff Unclear about breakfast being included or not
not much. staff was polite. very expensive for the service provided. no free internet, no double toileterie despite being a double room. At €140 a night one would expect a bit more quality than a Travel lodge hotel but it didn't. Won't use it again.
location small single beds, pillows were awful
just one stop to hauptbahnhof, very clean and bright rooms, friendly staff
Very freindly, proffesional and helpfull reception staff Would have really liked to have been able to work out and sauna to relax after a hard days work!
The atmosphere of the hotel and nice environment more information and leaflets written in English would be great
It was a pouring wet day and we were glad to have somewhere nice where we could have meals and be comfortable. On a fine day the walk into town would be pleasant but in the rain it was a long way.
A fridge, tea and coffee and kettle.
Clean, fairly large room. Bar/restaurant were good. Very busy street, near police station so lots of sirens. Pillows not the best.
Free wifi was really good and fast. Bed is comfortable, room was really nice and it has facilities for ironing clothes and even a microwave. Free coffee/hot chocolate machine next to the reception, with really good hot chocolate I might add. Good American style restaurant a 2 minute walking distance from the hotel. The laundry service was inconvenient, you had to give them your laundry before 8:30 A.M or they would charge %50 extra.
Modern and tidy hotel. Comfortable and clean room & bathroom. Friendly staff. Very convenient to visit the Mercedes museum or the Porsche Arena. Mini-bar available only at the reception (not in room).
Room comfort, cleanliness, good facilities, noise reduction. When I asked to stay an additional night, the rate was increased without a reasonable explanation. WiFi access in the room was somehow complicated.
The location was perfect, a block away was the spring festival, the reason we visited
The hotel was situated near the Mercedes museum which my husband wanted to visit
The food in the restaurant was terrible
Excellent staff, very happy to help. Other inconsiderate guests who would not check out on time.
The hotel was nice with a modern decor , plasma tv and free Internet was a great bonus, the staff were very helpful The location is very far of Stuttgart's center, and far away from the train station ( more tan 10 minutes walking) but its ok if you have a car, we boked three rooms for three days and in one day two of the rooms were not cleaned well and not provided with amenities (shampoo, etc )
Very good location (although my GPS on rental car couldn't find the Hotel at first, but I was able to find myself anyways; like in good old days!) Everything you expect from a Hilton Hotel; staff was friendly, rooms were spotless, well equipped (there were even a microwave), right in the heart of the Stuttgart (next to Porsche Arena and Stuttgart Stadium)... Good value for the money, highly recommended. Pricey breakfast, but still worth it. You gotta start your day right!
summer special 50 % /
Customer Service, room was awesome
€35 for a toasted sandwich in the bar at night......
I feel it is totally overpriced in comparison to other five star hotels. The rooms are smal. The TV is in a position were you cannot sit in bed on watch it comfortably.(TV being on the side of the bed, not at the feet end of it)
Nice room design. Good reception team There is no place to held a meeting with guests in the lobby. For a hotel of that class the lobby is poor. There a special stage in the lobby reserved for VIP customers. This is not good.
Central location. The Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin had lost my booking/reservation. It took me 30 minutes to check-in. When checking-out reservation was lost again. Amazing for a 5-star hotel: no room service from 10pm to 6am.
Very centrally located, neat and clean it must be possible to go to the room before 15.00
Location - great for the shops and the railway station. Very friendly staff - both the cleaning staff and those on the front desk. We waited in the bar inside the foyer to be served a drink but the waiter didn't serve us - not really a problem as we went into the very friendly zeppelinos bar, which was part of the hotel, instead, but disappointing that the waiter didn't see us.
Location near the train station is very convenient The wifi is a ridiculous joke -- very slow, drops constantly, and when I asked the front desk attendant for a room with good service, she put me in the room furthest from the server. I had to stand in the hallway to reconnect, repeatedly.
had very high expectation from it before we arrived due to its history & the introduction from the guide book. unfortunately it turned out that we only liked the location of it. the management. stayed there for two days. toilet paper was almost out in the first day, but no additional was added. we had to ask for it by ourselves the next morning after running out of it. The heater didn't really work in the first day, either, even though it was fixed the next day after we notified the front desk during the night. The guy taking care of the problem at 4:00am after we were awoke by the cold temperature didn't seem to feel sorry about the situation. maybe we were being too polite during that time? obviously something wrong with the management of this hotel.
Location is very good near the main station Price very high, they asked for more money to get a twin bed room instead of Double.
Friendly staff, easy access to public transport, location excellent, quiet, close to amenities, and child friendly More choice of breakfast
The staff was exceptional. Access to the u-bahn and s-bahn is quite easy and close. Despite the minimalist nature of the hotel it was comfortable. I wish there had been information about the construction next door to the hotel. It was quite loud and deterred and real relaxing during the day. My only complaint about using these various booking sights is that there should be a caveat explaining if there is something of that nature, does make a difference if you're on vacation.
There was a "Neues Testament" in my hotel room which is not acceptable (>> Cleanliness of room). I don't care what others believe but I do not accept other people pushing their stupid ideology onto me.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. No coffee/tea making in rooms, breakfast area was a bit small.
No continental or coocked breakfast only cold meats served, hotel bedroom were behind a hare krishna temple very noisy surroundings noisy hotel
Very friendly staff. Large rooms woth kitchen facilities and office desk. Clean and modern bathrooms. Breakfast-buffet very good for a few days. When arriving in the summer and your window is open, morning sounds of city activity are likely to keep you out of your sleep...
Perfect location They did not clean the room (despite I was out from 8AM to 11PM!)
Location of hotel (close to Wilhelma zoo), garage for car parking. During booking we missed the information that front desk is open till 15:30.
It was local to my needs Difficult to get the reception when it was closed [I.E. sundays]
Position in Bad Canstatt near Railway station and Breakfast.
Good Location, Excellence Service and value of money.
service and staff and location
The staff was helpful and kind. The location was wonderful. I was hoping for a bit more luxury from a five star hotel.
The morning buffet, the wine store, staff and the room. Location was excellent.
the service is outstanding the hotel is a bit dated
breakfast and the bar we asked a no smoking room and received first one with a very bed smell, and after we received a room without heating, near the heater was a broken glass(hidden)?
Very clean, updated bathrooms, beds were comfortable, staff was very helpful
Very helpfull staff, lovely hotel, ideal location The only thing that I can really fault is from the outside it's not the most attractive hotel, but I don't suppose there is much that can be done about this.
Excellent location, great views, luxurious property, and very helpful staff.
The location is excellent - a 10 minute walk to the train station and situated facing onto the Stuttgart Schlossgarten adjacent to many historical sites within an easy walk. The staff were friendly and helpful almost beyond belief - possibly the best I have experienced in my travels. Excellent breakfast service with a dining view over the grounds of the Schlossgarten. Internet access is very expensive (27 Euro for 24 hours access). The room was rather small for the price.
I hated the room telephone It was hard to use. No clock at all in the room!! There was no breakfast card in the room.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful, professional, and friendly. The hotel rooms, although small, were modern, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was meager and picked over. We were told breakfast was included in our room rate by an employee in the dining room only to be charged for it when we checked out. Very overpriced compared to other hotels we stayed at for what they offered.
This hotel was amazing in every aspect. We had the 2-bedroom 2-bath apartment for two nights and it was a great value, and totally fantastic! Rooms were spacious even by American standards and the baths were huge and spa-like. Staff was friendly and fun and very helpful from reception to concierge to restaurant. We will definitely look to stay in another Arcotel property in the future. Absolutely nothing negative to say!
Wellness is nice and free. Rooms are spacy No wireless available in room or elsewhere although your site says it is available. No free internet. Resto quite expensive
Absolutely fabulous lodging and staff
Large room The atmosphere in the bathroom is to cold
Clean, modern and new! Location was central and as easy walk from the train station. Friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel is well located and facilities are good. Undercover parking was handy. Hotel a bit hard to find even with GPS.
breakfast watch out, the hotel is located by the 6 lines main road of the town - half of the rooms have windows on that road. the price is a bit too high for the design - standard - confort provided
Close to the U-bahn, large comfortable rooms, modern facilities.
Very clean, very good location, very warm in the night time. Internet is expensive.
The staff, the comfort of the rooms Breakfast was not included in the price
Staff was very helpful in providing information about the city. Price was way too expensive for the quality of the room. Breakfast was not included, and cost 15 EUR extra.
Bed was very good and clean also bathroom and modern styled. I slept very well. Breakfast was good but extra 16.00 Euro is a lot because we had dinner in the city very well with 3 persons for 69,00 Euro including drinks. The bar is not filled on the room but at the reception you can buy cold drinks for 3.00 Euro's a bottle and 2.70 for water. A lot of money, if they make it cheaper much more people would use this service. Strange that they do not fill the bar. Also internet use (t-mobile) costs 8,00 an hour, far too much.
standard was high
so helpful. so clean. Thought hotel was in centre of Stuttgart, but the town area of Bad Cannstatt was a lovely place and walkable within a few minutes.
The matresses are really bad
Restaurant for having dinner / breakfast in the hotel was ok We applied for 2 non smoking rooms , but instead we got 2 smoking rooms, smelling very badly. It was answered by the reception that the choice between smoking / non-smoking is just a "preference " so we couldn't change our rooms.
Friendly staff (jasmine?) and plenty of space in the room. No air conditioning.
helpful staff, location right at the train station but still quiet From the hotel front door you need to climb stairs to get suitcases up to the reception desk BUT we discovered that if you go to the north entrance of the train station you can enter the hotel through the station with no stais at all
Room was clean and well appointed, Staff were very helpful (and spoke English!), breakfast (extra cost 14euros) was very good. Great central location for travelling around the city. No bath in the bathroom, just a shower.
Convenient and friendly None
Near the Central Station
The mess caused by the rebuilding of the hotel
It's right there inside the train station. They gave me a card for free transportation on all busses etc... had a bar there in the lobby. I was expecting something a little more bare-bones for being a part of the train station, but this is a great place to stay!
breakfast was overpriced for the offerings
Bathroom is great!!!
Perfect for travelling - Friendly & helpful staff - Rooms are clean Expensive (Internet access & breakfast are not included in price) - can be noisy - bed quite unconfortable
Friendliness of the staff who I had met during previous visits I thought teh room was a little cramped!!
Very quiet and comfortable, large room, plenty of space, terraces.. All this at the "economy" rate, breakfast included. The best I ever had for a very reasonable price. 20 min. from downtown, but perfect for stays at university and for spending time in a beautiful landscape, with lakes and forest Slight scent of smoke in the room, the previous guest must have been a heavy smoker.
Location No air conditioning,no bath,no balcony
Loved this hotel. The setting is quaint and beautiful. Staff was very friendly. Quiet and nice sized room. Great breakfast. Beds were a bit too soft. Wi-Fi was offered, but virtually non-existent in rooms. Could not connect, had to purchase T-Mobile HotSpot to get online.
beautiful location next to forest quiet lovely restaurant fair price numerous walking and biking trails start from the hotel needs better wifi options
The hotel is decent, well located close to a highway, rooms are equipped with all the stuff which is needed (no luxury), and the things which make this hotel good values for money is 1) a breakfast, the best I ever had, big variety of delicious food and beverages, just amazing 2) free parking slots around A bad was far too soft, the rooms are not well isolated in terms of the noise but this is fine provided you have quite neighbours
Place to sleep The price was too high for the level of accomodation
We had a great stay for 15+ days. The staff was friendly and assisted us in every possible way, even though we were limited by our knowledge of the German language.
The spa area was exceptional, one of the best (for a hotel). Front desk staff was very nice, professional. I would have expected that size room in Rome but not in Stuttgart, room was very, very small- hard to move around (for one large person). Thinking I got the internet special room, there weren't a whole lot of folks staying at the hotel- would have been better to save the old hotel section for over flow (not to a new customer, 1st visit, with a less then full hotel). Could have done a whole lot better closer to my conference for 100 euro, in my mind, this was a 50 euro room with 100 euro price!
room service staff extremely friendly Reception staff extremely unfriedly and unpolite
Convenient to University of Stuttgart. Good restaurant. It was under renovation and construction at the exit of the autobahn made it difficult to find.
Good comfortable rooms. Close to the airport. Hotel has their own free aiport shuttle. Shower was broken. We waited more then 1 hour someone to come and fix it.
Excellent value, proximity to airport, shuttle service to airport. Rooms were clean, classy, well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful.
easy to reach, fair price, clean and confortable the bar/restaurant could be a bit more comfortable, also the staff for the restaurant could be friendlier
Excellent hotel, perfect location next to the A8, with the hot deal rate also a bargain
Price, room cleanliness 1. I had checked the procedure with the hotel staff for requesting the courtsey shuttle from airport to hotel, before I went to return the rental car at the airport. But when I called for the courtsey shuttle around 9 pm, the staff person said there is no shuttle available. It was the same person I had checked about the courtsey shuttle in the first place. So I had to take a taxi to get back to the hotel for an extra charge that was 20% of my hotel stay! 2. The restaurant service inside the hotel was pathetic. I ended up being seated, but waiting for the server to take my order for about 40 minutes. When the server came to take the order, he informed me that my choice of dinner, the catfish entree was out; so in the interest of my time, I ended up going with the quickest food (soup and salad) that they could get me. Restaurant experience was extremely unsatisfactory.
standard of accomodatio was good, price was reasonable
comfort of the rooms Location very much out of the way, No English directions,
The night staff was very friendly. Buffet Breakfast for 17 Euros is a crime. The cost of the hotel is extreme, and internet is not free. The "fitness center" consisted of 2 bikes. The maid service did not take out our trash even though it was clearly marked. The shower head was broken. When pointed out, we got a shrug off. This hotel is about 4KM from the Airport and requires a long bus ride to get anywhere in downtown Stuttgart.
The look of the lobby was nice. The room and the washroom were clean. The ambiance of the bar was nice in the evening. I have booked the shuttle at 8h30 but it leaved the hotel at 8:40/45 which impacted my first meeting. Not professionnal management of the schedule. The employee att he lobby were not too friendly compare to my other experiences
The atmosphere and design, the pool and the breakfasts -- not inlcued but worth every penny. The location. It is a bit isolated from the city center. Restaurants and trams are about a 15-minute walk away. Also, at these prices, Internet should be free.
The hotel was in a quiet residential neighborhood within an easy short walk to the center of town. I walked it late at night and felt completely safe. Also I was able to get a late night snack in the bar.
Service culture well developed English speaking capability of staff could improve
Very helpful and friendly staff Single rooms are very small, and breakfast could be better
The hotel staff is very friendly. /
Great little hotel with excellent facilities. Room very compforable. Swimming pool is a nice addition. Staff were always helpful, particularly reception girl who was extremely patient when travel directions were required in english. I would use this hotel again and I would recommend it if visisting the Porsche and Mercedes museums.
Very quiet area, 10 minute drive by car to the city center, a great family hotel with special corner with games for children, small swimming pool, sauna and spa (not free), great breakfast, convenient parking. Definitely not a 4 star judging by our room: the room was very small, the shower room was tiny.
The staff. The breakfast buffe. The quiet area. The service not to charge me for internet access at all, just because it did not work the first half hour. I have already recommended this hotel to collegues because of this. Some renovating was going on during my visit, with some annoying noice and no swimmingpool. But this must have been an exception.
For the Hotel Azenberg there should be a category maked excellent plus. This hotel was spotlessly clean, comfortable and ideally located. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. The breakfast was fresh daily with a wide variety of food. The hotel has an attractive decor and was by far the best hotel for the reasonable price.
Location, ease of booking, price extra charges
Location, help of staff and ease of travel to city
Pets were accepted and welcomed warmly. The bar was nice and the bartender was friendly. The front desk staff was friendly. The food at the restaurant was very very salty. Also, we booked 1 room for 2 people but the blanket on the bed was not big enough for the entire bed. The blanket was meant for only 1 person. The air conditioning did not cool the room no matter which way we turned the dial.
Just near the next subway station. Nice Breakfast View from the room was not really beautiful, but OK...
Excellent staff, very helpful. Messehotel was closed on arrival - a not very clear notice directed me to the Kongresshotel across the road, should have been notified of this when making booking. Air conditioning switched off at night, room got very warm and made sleep very difficult.
Spacious rooms, large bathrooms, right on top of subway station, short taxi ride from central station (and shopping district), very satisfactory breakfast bar mattresses need to be firmer, pillows too soft
The online booking process functioned perfectly. The hotel is located next to a major traffic route and has thin, poorly insulating windows. Rooms are very loud, and this noise continues throughout the night. The room I was provided had no functioning air conditioning, and the room was very hot. The front desk had only "too bad" to say in response to my complaints. The checkout procedure automatically charged our fees in us Dollars, including a hefty premium for the conversion. Conversation with the management regarding these issues were not handled in a satisfactory manner.
That our group of 5 persons was split and one person had to stay at a cooperation hotel nearby.
the staff and rooms were very clean and decorated.
friendly staff the hotel is in an industrial area, right by the road and very cramped - overall good for one night - but nothing longer. Also, no lunch/food during noon time served
Room service not available.
Easily accessible by car Neighbourhood
Quick and easy, no hassle, excellent facilities. Not really. Very slow service at the restaurant, that's it.
staff were freindly rooms clean
There are a supermarket and the Porsche Museum near this hotel.
We were assigned a smoking room, and after my wife woke up the first morning with an allergic reaction, we were told they could not move us to a clean room until the day AFTER that, so essentially we lost two days of our vacation to breathing in their nasty, smoky room. Also, despite the "Free WiFi", statement, only WiFi in the lobby is free and it explicitly does not permit e-mail usage! Once we paid for in-room Internet access, we found that other services were blocked! This hotel deserves no business from anyone who needs Internet access until they deal with their incompetent WiFi provider!
Terribly rude staff. Small room and tiny bed. Awful. Everything was terrible.
No free Internet as promised. Cable TV was German only. Location only useful if you are manufacturing ball bearings
smelled like rotten egg, and that's the best i can say. Changed hotel on the 2nd day
Nothing This hotel was really bad. Right from reception , room , breakfast , internet etc. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.
we arrived there late, but we can check in and use the restaurant, indoor parking is good for us.. shower booth is too small, so it's difficult to wash my daughter.
Breakfast was expensive - €26 per night for a couple. This is more expensive than most of the main evening meals and there is nowhere open on Sunday for food!
Close to Porsche Museum. Accessible by public transportation. Nearby grocery store. Helpful staff; stored our luggage on early arrival. No breakfast included--pricey breakfast option at hotel.
