Convenience for the opera and for the Capitole
Rooms and location
Location very central, room was excellent, staff friendly n/A
location was excellent. Bed was exceptionnally comfortable. Internet in the room was free. Apples on the pillow are much better than chocolate.
location and cleanliness There was nowhere to put toiletries around the sink area or the bathroom
The hotel location was excellent, being close to a large amount of restaurants and shops, made exploring easy and enjoyable. The welcome at reception was poor and unfriendly. The corridors leading to the rooms were dark and dingy.
the location and the factwe didn't had to move out before 3pm the day of our departure the breakfast ( to expensive)
the rooms were very comfortable and clean. the location was excellent too there was not the option of food and the bar was hugely over priced. as a result we did not stay in the bar, we ate out every night
nicely appointed rooms, great design, excellent location , good staff room too small
Clean, comfortable rooms, very helpful staff. Great location and was quiet even though on a main street. Had the best meal of our trip in their restaurant.
Quiet room, very helpful staff, excellent breakfast
It was warm, cosy and charming, I`ll definitely be back!
When my husband was ill the receptionist was extremely helpful, contacting a doctor etc and allowing us to stay in our room late on the day we were leaving. The hotel is difficult to get to because of the narrow streets and one-way system in Toulouse.
We liked the atmosphere produced by the welcome of the staff, the decoration, the location (so close to the centre of the city), the view and the simple comfort of the room itself The bistro opposite is frequented by the young generation, who are not prone to going to bed early and on hot night with windows open they tend to keep one awake until closing time at 0200 hrs. Parking is naturally at a premium and a bit of a walk away.
The hotel was very comfortable and stylish.
Great location on river & friendly helpful staff bathtub/shower challenging for older person
Therre too short a time to appreciate
Central location, aspect overlooking river, staff responsive when asked. safety a concern, eg no safety features to bath - no hand rail or anti slip mat/surface, poor corridor/stair lighting and access to breakfast room. Difficult for guests with less mobility. Communication to guests could be more proactive - one has to find out, rather than have services offered.
The location was great with rooms overlooking the garonne and just above a great brasserie. not really
Marie was fantastic in answering all my questions. The hotel is very charmous Car parking - I have been in hotel were the hotel has an agreement with the car parking so the final charge is less
The location was great, parking was convenient and the room was well equipped to self cater. The staff were also friendly and helpful. Also, parking is still available after checkout. The parking is set up for small(ish) cars or people with excellent parking skills. We ended up with twin beds but that was my mistake.
The effectiveness and courtesy of staff. Position (ie proximity to city area services), and accessibility of in-house facilities (ie garage) Wi-fi code and personal appliances (eg hair-dryer) only available on demand at reception...but reception closing at 21:00 and opening at 08:00!!
near to the city centre and useful parking facilities I felt the parking was little expensive
The reception staff were superb. They could not do enough to help us enjoy our stay. They offered recommendations on places to visit and for restaurants. The apartment (for 4) had a comfortable double bed and the cooking facilities were fine.
The amability of the staff not applicable
The fact that it had a secure parking available Corridors smelled of cigarrette. The fact that the reception desk was closed from midday till three in the afternoon. The bed was not a real bed but a futon.
Convenience of city centre location with parking, but easy access to out of city routes. Rather basic cooking facilities. Bathroom clean but a little shabby. Very little storage space for clothes.
The location is closer to the metro and the center of this city.
The Location The rooms were advertised as being suitable for 4 people, they are not! they are so small we had to have one each.
clean, quiet, friendly, location near the centre
Friendly staff and good ambiance.
A lovely quiet and cool room. We were upgraded. The two restaurants were very good, and the staff were very courteous and friendly. Air of calm. Nice courtyard to relax in. No face cloths in the bathroom. No breakfast other than room service. Breakfast costs 22euros per person ! Porters were not available to help us with our luggage to and from the taxi (arrival & departure). They were around mostly - except when we needed them !
The location was great. Also, the staff were all very helpful. The rooms were a bit old and tired.
The hotel was in the center of Toulouse which made sight seeing a dream. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who went out there way to make the stay a memorable one. The hotel was very clean and evrything worked! It is difficult to think of anything which was obviously wrong with the hotel. If anything it was the city that let the hotel down. Toulouse was like a lady who had fallen on hard times. She needed a new dress and a hair do.
Impeccable Without the special deal, would have been too expensive. Breakfast expensive, better to go to Square
Very nice room, thematic decoration, friendly and competent staff, good breakfast.
Very comfortable bed with good pillows. Excellent bathroom with good shower. Very central location
Location and the baggage folks and housekeepers were extremely helpful. The front desk and manager did not have our room available to us even though we were 45 minutes after the check in time of 3:30 pm. Though the manager offered us drinks, they told us 30 minutes since room was not ready. Then we set in lobby and watched 10-12 other guests arrive and been checked in immediately. After 60 minutes, and complaining about the long delay and how tired we were, we finally were shown a room in the back of the hotel. We did not even use the normal elevator, but some elevator in the rear. The room was the worse. It was small, had no light and generally was not acceptable for a hotel with rating. To make things worse, tried to order coffee the next morning, and it never arrived. Can not recommend this hotel. Felt the whole event was of no value.
welcoming, smiling, attentive, efficient staff; comfortable; well-situated
Location is possibly best in Toulouse. Good sized room and being off the square, enabled leaving window open at night without undue noise (needed see aircon below) Despite size of room, only standard double bed - room for something larger. Luckily it was cold outside because aircon was next to useless. Generally hotel public rooms etc need a refurb
When we decided to go the Toulouse I wanted a central hotel and this hotel perfectly fits the bill. For an hotel in the centre of Toulouse I thought it was pretty good value for money. The evening meal was quite expensive for what we got.
Very close to the main train station and bus stop, walking distance to city centre. It was a very comfortable, clean room, good value for money. The creaking floor boards and thin walls.
The hotel location is good, close to the center and transport. The hotel staff is friendly enough. The cleanliness of the room is on the limit of acceptable. It is required to refresh the carpet and the furniture - carpet was not very clean and the room furniture was old.
the central posistion close to restaurants and buses. The expensive cost due to the fact that I reserved at the last moment. But shouldn't be the opposite? the high price of breakfast.
comfortable bed, friendly staff, okay location very basic, more like a 5star hostel - small rooms, out of date decor, very run down corridors, overpriced for what it was
The toilet is inside the"living" room, separated from the bath room, without a window and without ventilation.
Place for bicycle without problems; good coffee at breakfast
Welcome was very nice. 10' walk from the City Center. Close by lots of restaurants. Easy to get in and out.
The staff was tremendously helpful, specially Jean Louis who went the extra mile to satisfy every request we had. I liked everything.
helpful staff and excellent location
Location in easy walking distance to the city center. Comfortable rooms. Very expensive and forced valet parking (17 Euro/day). Free wifi is of poor quality and cuts out often. The room rate is only good value if you pay a discounted price. The breakfast is priced at 22 Euro / pp. The rooms at the street-side are noisy. The insulation is mediocre (poor window frame fittings) and you will hear traffic noise all night long. The front desk is aware but warns that rooms on the backside of the hotel are also noisy due to garbage trucks coming through in the early morning.
Quality of the service and smiles of the staff
Superb hotel! Very friendly en helpful personel. Delicious breakfast, luxery room, clean and spacious. Free wifi. We were satisfied about everything, but nevertheless I think that it would be an asset for the hotel if there were a sauna and/or swimming pool.
The room was recently renovated - very comfortable and surprisingly spacious Renovations are continuing until later in 2009. Noisy during the day so don;t think you can nap in the afternoon
The decor and presentation of the hotel is very pleasant, and the staff very friendly Our room wasn't ready on arrival, we said we'd come back in a few hours to give them some time to sort it out, when we got back late in the afternoon and they gave us the key - they hadn't touched it. Towels all over the bathroom floor, beds un-made, rubbish over the floor etc. An oversite, but a pretty poor first impression to give your customers in what was otherwise a very pleasant hotel...
quiet, peaceful design, very efficient staff
everything is good
Friendly and helpul staff Well appointed and decorated rooms
Modern style Room had been used by a smoker previously and smelled.
This is a very unique, clean and sylish hotel we would not hesitate to use again The food was good but not exceptional
there was a piano in the lobby.
Excellent location, functional and spacious rooms. Hotel is also suitable for business travellers. Parking garage in the basement.
Comfort of the room, air conditioning, late check-out.
Central location More pricey that other hotels of similar quality in the same area.
Perfect location + great combination of price and quality. Very comfortable room with nice view.Good brekfast.
Location was very good, very central for bars, restaurants and shopping. The hotel bar closed very early so after dinner it was not possible to have a night cap!
The staff were very helpful and friendly No
Convenient location No cot was provided despite it being requested at booking. Sheets were not changed daily. Staff were not particularly welcoming. More suited to buisness travellers than families.
I found the staff very helpful when wanting to cancel the booking after one very uncomfortable and expensive night. The synthetic / nylon sheets made the bed extreemly hot. we asked for and were given an extra room, no mention of price was given, but it was cheaper & better quality to stay four nights elsewhere. I would not stay again or recomend it to anyone
Breakfast is very good for price, and every room has a coffee machine (pretty good) and an excelent shower with steam. Good situation, centrical and very near of Saint Sernin, and even the danger of staying at the centre of a city, the security it's good, because the frontdesk man took us a photo when we left the hotel at night. When I made my reservation, Booking gave me the option to choose a smoking room, but at the hotel all rooms are no smoking.
The location was excellent, right downtown, across from the bus terminal, and within walking distance of the train station. The staff were multilingual and helpful. The room was quiet, clean and had everything we needed. The room was warmer than we like for sleeping, and one staff member directed us to the wrong bus stop to catch the airport bus.
locality ease to get to and from airport cleanliness nowhere to sit and have coffee beer or a snack dining room very basic not enough variety fo breakfast and quite expensive for the breakfast
Our first assigned room was inadequate: too small, tv did not work, coffee machine did not work, the air conditioning did not work well.... We were switched for the second night to a much nicer room, and accoridng to listed price not much more than we had paid through our booking. Hotel staff was helpful and we appreciated this change, but wondered why we did not get a decent room the first night. We stay in comoft Hotels, and that room (123) does not come up to standard. A nice breakfast buffet spread and staff are friendly. See above for our comments. I would recommend this hotel with reservations about getting a decent room to begin with.
fantastic shower air conditioning broken - fan worked so noisy but hot!
Clean, no nonsense hotel. Small room facing the busterminal, but two layers of windows made the sound stay out. The parking tickets that hotel offer you cheaper is only valid for 24 hours - which they forgot to tell. So we couldn't exit the parking after 2 days ... and ended up spending more in total than if we would have used only either the hotel or the regular parking prices.
The comfort and standard of the rooms, and the thorough helpfulness of the staff.
Central position not far from station and very near the sights and metro yet very quiet room comfortable bed
central location Noisy next to bus station and some maintenance or building work in hotel. Gloomy shabby interiors and carpets. Chicken nuggets for breakfast!! in France!! Booked for 4 nights. Checked out after two.
Free Wifi, clean rooms, good breakfast. Small rooms and bit too expensive in my view.
Reception staff were very good Restaurant staff friendly and helpful good location Quiet and relaxing housekeeping - our shower gelwas not repelenished and would have expected this at a hotel in ths price range. We were upgraded to a suit (thank you) - there were plates and mugs left unwashed
The staff were incredibly helpful. The room was clean and pleasant. Free WiFi was wonderful I would prefer breakfast to be included (or, at the minimum, less costly).
good location, excellent staff
Excellent location, very clean room and bathroom (and reasonably spacious). Very friendly staff, especially the evening guy who provided very good suggestions for authentic Toulouse restaurants for dinner.
It was nicely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was too expensive. 16 Euros is a lot for a small meal.
Breakfast must be included in the price, 12 euro extra for breakfast is too much
The grandeur of the hotel reception area
The reception staff very knowledgeable and helpful I thought the full breakfast selection was limited
The electric cattle in the room with tea bags. Size of wc is very small and location in the bathroom is also very bad (very difficult to sit). It is very uncomfortable.
comfortable well equiped accomadation and pleasant helpful staff loud street noise - window insulation needs upgrading
Great location, in the heart of Toulouse No safelock in the room, although it was mentioned in the service description. View on Place du Capitol only available for Suites, all normal rooms have unpleasant view on very narrow side streets.
Excellent location if you want to visit the principal atractions Difficult to reach by car as it is situated exactly in the city center. Expensive parking price
Nothing, awful hotel Staying this hotel is really a nightmare. The worst hotel in the world I have ever stayed. Completely overpriced. You may easily have to pay the double amount worth the value. Not clean, not conmfortable room, in front of the hotel is garbage mountain. No air-con working properly, poor breakfast, and particulary arrogant and lie-telling staff.
clean/roomy and comfortable. great central location
The most central location in Toulouse
Clean and tidy, efficient staff. As a member of the Priority Club Rewards, I did not receive any confirmation from staff that points would be automatically credited to me, and I am still unaware as to whether this is the case.
The fact that I could smoke in the room
The quality of food in the restaurant was excellent as was the level of service in the restaurant. Bar service.Bar counter was deserted most of the time and one had to go to reception to request service. The price of drinks was very expensive.Breakfast was not included and was expensive
Welcoming reception staff. rOOM was very well appointed and bed comfortable Drinks were very expensive and noisy rugby supporters were at the hotel at the same time as us!
Restaurant is OK and personell was serviceminded The personell at reception was extremely ignorant on local services and restaurants and car renting possibilities
Nice comfortable room, nearby secure parking, friendly staff.
good location value for money no
Location, Hotel general facilities Room was very industrial, minimum and cheap equipment
The restaurant was very good. The staff were excellent and spoke very good English. Offered us directions and a map for our onward journey Public areas of the hotel were in much better "repair" than the rooms and corridors. Everything was clean - but "well worn" - could do with an upgrade on bed linen, carpets etc
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Location of the hotel and parking facilities are excellent; especially close to the conference center. Rooms not only have a bath, but a dedicated shower too which is great when you are a shower person. Minor nag: rooms did not have much cupboard space for clothing.
The staff very friendly and helpful, the pool and about 20 min walk to Capital square
Very good customer service and the Hotel is just a short walk to the city centre. The pool was a bonus and well utilised.
The staff were friendly, polite & helpful. This makes a great difference. Although the food was good, the menue was disapointing. In particular, (in Toulouse) I would have liked to have seen regional dishes offered.
Stayed in an executive room (which had a balcony and luxury coffee maker). Very quiet and comfortable. Not really in the centre of Toulouse. We walked out quite a way in the evening and didn't get near to it. If you stay there for a couple of days I expect you wouldn't mind the walk but for an evening just too far.
The location and staff is great. Nothing to dislike..(for the price)
The hotel is in a busy area of restaurants with lots of people about but the rooms were double glazed so you couldn,t here the noise. There should be Tea / Coffee available in the rooms. Not having to go to reception to get a drink
Excellent location and very helpful staff
Central location Shower , water from shower gets to the floor every time you shower
our room was quiet and clean, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good for access to the airport and reasonably close to the railway station.
Hotel Boreal is really near the center of Toulouse and proposes great value for the price.
comfortable & close to all of town neighbourhood a bit seedy in day time
Hotel was basic and satisfied our needs. Bed linen, rooms and hotel in general immaculately clean and tidy.
Clean, modern room Very hot in room - air conditioner only gave out slightly cool air
The manager and staff were so helpful; he went out of his way to offer advice, spoke excellent English. Two prices for breakfast - full buffet or continental, continental was great value. Good cheap eating places close by. Very short walk to the centre and lots of interesting places, shops, tourist office, train station, metro etc. Ask hotel staff for details about parking your car in the underground car park, you will get a good discount by getting your ticket stamped by the hotel. Room cleaners very nice and friendly too. Beds were very comfortable. Parking is a real issue very narrow street with little parking around. Ask management for details of the underground car park where they get a discount for clients. The Hotel is situated in a seedy area, we had no problems, but ended up for the first night leaving our car in another road and we were worried about it being safe. It is the Red light district, and a few itinerants around with their dogs.
Proximity to city centre No air-conditioning, noise from the street, thin walls, surrounding area scruffy and not very nice.
The friendly, welcoming service. The breakfast was an additional fee each morning.
The hotel was opposite a sex club in a red light district and the noise during the night continued to approx. 3.00 am, and the air conditioner was faulty so we could not use it to block out the noise - I had asked for a quiet room. The area did not feel particularly safe so would definitely not recommend it for solo female travellers.
Nice breakfast, updated room, staff friendly. Unsafe intimidating people on surrounding blocks. Directly across street a private club specializing in lap dancing with unsavory people walking day or night. Difficult to feel comfortable walking to train station.
I always choose this hotel when I am on bussiness trip in cnes. It is near airport transport, near metro station and near bycycle rental. The single room I booked for the last time was very small, I would prefer a litle bit larger one.
Very comfortable bed Very small hotel, unpractical shower, old - used towels
The staff at St Claire could not have been more obliging. The room was spotless and it was perfect for our need, which was a quick, functional trip to Toulouse.
staff were very helpful, room was well appointed & clean. good, quiet location. bath/shower could use a screen or curtain
Very good;excellent welcome. A pity the stain on the carpet hadn't been dealt with.
I liked the kindness of people working there. bHotel is not a luxury one but is cosy and clean. No.
Very good staff, excelent location.. We liked everything.
Very centrally located, in an unassuming building that seems to have been entirely renovated inside. I went for the larger size room and found it spacious and well-appointed, with free wi-fi and air conditioning (if needed) while still clocking in at under 100 euros. The wi-fi performed superbly and the staff was warm and helpful. I did not spring for the 9 euro breakfast, but ate at a cafe on the boulevard around the corner. That said, the plaza (Place Nicholas Bachelier) immediately below is charming and boasts a number of very good restaurants. I particularly recommend "La Préférence." No. Well yes: the flimsy plastic cups in the bathroom, but they seem to be omni-present these days, in Europe and America.
The room was very clean There was a extremely strong scent throughout the hotel which gave me a headache & nausea (possibly used to mask an odor???)
The friendliness of the staff, The location in central Toulouse.
The location, the room overall. Nothing.
Very convenient both for station and close to centre of the town. The male receptionist was extremely helpful, giving us a town plan and circling the areas best for dining out plus telling us the nicer shopping areas and squares for having a drink. Weather in early November was still nice enough to sit outside. All good :)
nice and freindly staff. very close to the center (10 min. walk). not a nice neighbourhood at night. room very small.
- the location near the trains station...not a very clean area.
Near to the station Noisy road outside
Excellent and convenient location. Good rate. The corridor was pretty dark.
Good value for money, staff very friendly, everything very clean. The location is a little unfortunate near a strip club and sex shop but if one is not squeamish about such things then so what. I would certainly stay there again.
Very convenient spot, private parking; extremely helpful staff, walking distance to the centre of the city, very good price
close to trainstation really didn't like the bed we slept in - the matrass was totally warn out and it was so hot - no aircon.
Very pleasant staff, large room, bathroom much roomier and nicer than the norm. quiet and restful. close to the train station so a plus if that's the mode of travel, and not too far of a walk to city's attractions
Rooms were very clean, laminate flooring, free wifi, great location if you are arriving by train, directly across from the train station. Very basic services (no restaurant, bar, etc.) Shower is not intended for people over 6 ft tall, water went over the shower enclosure and got the bathroom pretty wet.
The staff were very helpful. The hotel borders the red light district, and subsequently attracts colourful people. I would not walk there at night.
The people who worked there were excellent, spoke good English, helpful. On site breakfast was nice.
Excellent value, great if you need to be close to the train. Clean and efficient. Friendly staff.
Good location, 100 m from train station, not so far from metro station. Easy to reach an airport by bus (last stop for airport bus is near by train station). Clean room. Friendly personnel.
Hotel Phoenicia was very clean and good hotel.
The location of the hotel was excellent, close to the metro and airport bus stop and only 15 minutes walk from the main shopping/restaurant areas. Hairdryer was broken.
decent hotel with friendly hotel staff and nice location
Welcoming staff. Comfortable beds. Good shower. Close to railway station and easy to walk to town centre. 24 hour reception. Room 201 was cold.
The staff was so helpful with assisting us in making arrangements for concerts, recommendations for dining out and even providing space and dishes for an impromptu wine and cheese party. Breakfast was a little pricey and not a great value for the money.
All the staff were very accommodating and every request was answered swiftly and to a high standard. The toilet room in Room 35 was very small.
There was a bed which I was in dire need of by the time I got back to the room.
accessable location. friendly staff, all helped to make our stay worth while. , thanks
Coffee and tea supplied free on request.Great room and location great staff. n/a
Staff were helpful, breakfast was reasonable and for what we paid it was OK. I had problems in connecting to the internet and that was important for me. I also found the room small.
Comfortable hotel, easy access for city centre. Had all the faciliries we needed.
friendly staff near centre of town
Location is very good. Free wifi and breakfest.
the staff were excellant but the hotel was in a questionable location this hotel is on a very noisey street
We liked out room although it did not have any view as such; it was great having access to an English TV channel in the evenings and a mini fridge in our room; the lobby was lovely and the staff really helpful, friendly and really made us feel welcome. The lobby was lovely and
Spacious quiet room. Comfortable bed. Air conditioning. Location a little bit out of old city but only 10 minutes walk. Dated and a bit shabby. Some broken items in the room and bathroom. Needs a makeover. Internet in rooms is wired. Useless if you travel with an iphone and an ipad.
Free parking which is easily accessible, quiet location which is walking distance from the city centre. The hotel itself has not a lot to offer besides good parking and a good location. The terrace looked worn down and there are some peculiar smells in parts of the hotel.
it was a quiet place. the quality of personal staff, very small and ugly room. I change my room with a suite.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. Covered parking was free as well as use of internet.
This was a pleasant hotel in a good area. It was nice and quiet and we were well looked after with an ample breakfast each morning.
first trip to toulouse and the hotel was within walking distance of all we wanted to visit. Added bonus was the free parking .
Breakfast was good. The bed was not the best (big dip in the middle) so we had to change the covers around and sleep across its width.
The hotel was very well situated to take the bus to the airport.
nothing no atmosphere, too far out of city centre, expensive for what it was , we live in france so know the prices of comparable hotels, luckily we speak french as staff did not
Close to Toulouse center the indoor parking, too small
