- The neighbourhood is great. 5mins walk from metro, many great restaurants at walking distance in a beautiful scenario. - Check-in/out was fast and straightforward - All the areas are very clean and spacious - Hotel is quiet during the night, Windows are big, clean and provide good insulation - Staff very helpful and polite - Some rooms have small kitchens with a lot of equipment. - Bathroom is also good, but i missed an air extractor. - Breakfast is abundant, and with impressive variety, but IMO it could improve in quality. It is served by a restaurant that is not part of the hotel, so the staff is separate and not as good as the hotel staff.
Excellent service and good rooms
Great hotel. Good food, terrific gym, great public space. The staff was outstanding. The extra attention they paid to us was wonderful. Nothing was to much to ask. We actually spent two days at the hotel without leaving. Just enjoying the surrounding. The pool was freezing. 90 degrees outside and the pool was so cold you could only stay in to get wet. We did enjoy watching everyone "try" to get in for their first time. The towels need to be replaced in the room.
They charge the internet at the room and the service of the internet at the lobby it's pretty bad!
Very professional and friendly staff. Nice accommodations and housekeeping is excellent.
A very comfortable room and friendly staff, good value for money in a good location close to trendy night life.
I liked how pleasant were all the staff and how they tried to support all of our needs during the stay
Good service and helpful staff. Location I'd great, many pubs and bars in the neighborhood. Dat je moet betaken voor Internet en steeds opnieuw mote inloggen
Excellent health club & restaurant. Reasonable prices for a luxury hotel. Very helpful staff providing directions.
Real great value.
Wonderful stay--everything was excellent
Very reasonable price for a luxury hotel. The lobby always smelled lovely. Free wi-fi. Comfortable bed and linen. Lots of fluffy towel. The water temperature of the shower was not constant and kept on going from ice cold to super hot. Water pressure was rather low as well. It always took a while for the hot water to come out at the sink. Breakfast was ok but would have been better if there were more vegetables (i.e. - tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers for a morning salad).
Concerige very helpful & front of house have good english
The location was very good and the hotel reached completely our expectations.
This hotel was set in the middle of Santiago and was like an oasis of peace in the big city. The grounds were beautiful as was the building. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - going beyond what is expected. The Grand Hyatt was located close to a great shopping mall and good restaurants The room was large and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing I disliked was the first room they put me in. It was low with a terrible view and a CRT television. When I asked, they changed to a great room. To be fair, I got there early so better rooms were not available and they let me use the room until a better one was available.
The design in combination with the situation giving a nice view. Even though not all the. Rooms have the mountain view.
The front desk staff was wonderful. Great value for the the price. Shower ran hot and cold.
The service was excellent. We were given an upgrade two a suite at no extra cost and the room was very tastefully appointed. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was great. When leaving for the airport, the hotel arranged wonderful transportation at a reasonable cost. Nothing comes to mind.
Glitzy decor and very friendly staff. The layout of the hotel is very confusing... You have to take multiple elevators to get anywhere. The pool also was not heated.
The hotel is beautiful, well-appointed, modern and in a great location. It is across the street from a pretty park, near great restaurants (all price ranges), banks, 1/2 mile from the largest mall in Santiago. The buffet breakfast offers everything and is in a lovely large restaurant with a large outdoor patio. The swimming pool is small but the view is spectacular and the cabana area is nice. The hotel staff is friendly, professional and the service we received was great. The elevator system is confusing. To get from the entrance to the reception and restaurant floor is one elevator bank. To get to your room is a different elevator bank. To get to the pool area is another elevator bank. The pool area has a cocktail bar area which is a bit of a young party scene. Need more hooks in the bathroom.
I like the location, room was amazing, breakfast was exelent
The W-Hotel is the first hotel of this chain in S.America and it is obvious that they want to make a statement of design and comfort. There are more than plenty staff everywhere that assist you . Also when you arrive by taxi they check if you were not being over charged. The design of the lobby met 3 restaurants is spectacular. The pool with lounge bar on 21st floor is small but spectacular. The charge of internet of $ 15,- per day on your room. In the lobby it is free. The charge of $ 25,- for the quality breakfast, while you pay at least $ 300 a night.
Excellent room space, good bed, amaizing bethroom
Localisation is perfect for business or leisure. They have good taxi drivers who can go through the city with you and show you the basic things to see and are very friendly. It is not a 5 stars hotel, everything is clean but a little but out dated and the service is loosy. My room was not yet cleaned at 6PM and the check out took me 27 minutes with very impolite staff...
Restaurant service is good and meals are very well prepared, the staff is kind, good breakfast with fruits. If you have a car there`s no problem, but if you intend to use Metro its about 2km from Escuela Militar station and about 1,5km from shopping Arauco.
Comfort and localization
Easy check-in and breakfast was included. Accessible and staff was kind and helpful. Easy check-out.
El hotel es confortable y esta en una zona agradable
cleaniless and friendly staff fee for interent connection
Excellent hotel and staff
Nice, clean, cozy hotel
The hall on our floor was being repainted and was therefore very messy over the second day and night before we left. That was unaccepteble for such a nice hotel.
This hotel was ideal for us as we were leaving to go to Europe the next day and wanted a restful night prior to the long flight. It exceeded our expectations for comfort and we enjoyed a good lunch in the restaurant as well as a quiet and comfortable stay. Nothing
opposite the airport. Perfect for layover. Staff very friendly and speak English if your Spanish is not good.
The friendly staff and the proximity of the airport, just opposite.
Staff was efficient and courteous, English was good. Room service was also good -- food arrived quickly and was decent as far as room service goes. The prices for room service and the restaurant were all reasonable and the service was friendly. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Wifi worked fine.Overall a pleasant stay. It is not the most luxurious hotel, but it got the job done comfortably. The price for the kind of room you get -- a bit pricey. I guess location is what you're paying for, since it is literally across the street from the terminal. There were similar rooms at the Ritz Carlton and Grand Hyatt for roughly 60-70 dollars more, but in the city center, which is about a half hour from the airport to provide context. Also, the room was supposed to be non-smoking, but I did notice a faint smell of cigarette smoke. Nothing too bad.
For those with early flights -- or who worry about transport to the airport-- this is an ideal facility It is just across the street and quite comfortable. Nothing exotic or surprising.
The hotel is the place to stay if you are caught in Santiago in-between flights such as my case. I had a connecting flight in Santiago, arriving at night and departing early the next morning. There would have been other choices in the same price range in the city, but staying at the hotel just across from the airport proved a real time saver. Staff were very friendly and efficient; check-in and check-out took seconds.
Best Holliday Inn !
The rooms and facilities were freat My experience. My passport was stolen in the restaurant the evening before my flight.
This Holiday Inn is the nicest we have ever been in. The staff is wonderful and every detail has been paid attention to. Would go back the next time we're in Santiago.
When the sink was broken, but hotel staff cope with it soon and kindly, so I did not worry about it. Thank you so much. nothing.
Amazing service, everything clean, all brand new. Great bed and it wasn't a noisy room despite being besides the airpot.
Directly across from international departure entrance.
Rooms are large, and confortable. It is easy to find restaurants and coffe-shops opened in the neighborhood of the hotel, even on sundays. The staff is really helpful Breakfast is not very good.
The room was excellent, well equipped and roomy and very very clean. Breakfast was also excellent with a good range on the buffet Leisure facilities are not brilliant, located on the top floor with no changing rooms. If you want the internet of wirelss you ahve to pay extra and it is very very expensive. Why is it that major high end chains such as this charge for something that is free in so many other locations including coffee houses and more modest hotels - a rip off
The room was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, with a luxurious bathtub and separate shower. The room service was affordable and delicious. The portions were very large, so don't order too much!
My room was luxurious and spacious with a lovely large modern bathroom. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The internet connection in the room was very good. The staff at the hotel are lovely, very helpful and friendly I loved everything about this hotel. I have stayed here before and will stay again for sure.
Confort of the room
Not much at all Rooms were super small, dirty, out dated, and in need of repair. The front desk was less than friendly.
nice swimming pool and good breakfast
Staff were friendly and helpful and room was a good size. Breakfast was poor with insufficient choice and poor cereal availability.
Very close to full gym with rate, and Starbucks!
Outstanding staff, very helpful with any and all requests. Warm, intimate property that felt more like home than a hotel
Very nice residential area with lots of greenery. Great city views from the balcony. Wonderful courtyard for dining or just sitting. Our balcony could easily have been accessed from the balconies on either side of us as there was only a waist high metal railing between the balconies. Fortunately, the sliding doors seemed to lock properly.
The dining room and terrace are charming. An information stand informs you about places to visit, good restaurants etc. The rooms are spacious. Excellent location. The hotel staff is polite, and offered a change of room for the last night due to too much noise in the room where I stayed. The hotel rooms deal with some technical issues: the anti-noise insulation between different rooms (at least in the back part of the hotel) is really bad and the central heating system has a lot of air in it, both disturb a good night sleep. The breakfast is really not that good as older comments state. The quality of the standard rooms in the back part of the hotel are very disapointing considering the cost and are certainly not as charming as may appear from the website. The global appreciation of this hotel on Booking.com is certainly not valid considering the global evaluation of other hotels where I stayed in Santiago.
Staff very friendly and helpful food was excellent room was comfortable I would have liked a tea kettle in the room
Good location, very nice staff, nice comfortable rooms
The staff were friendly and were largely fluent in English. The location was great, only a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and parks. The wifi was strong throughout the hotel, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The rooftop bar was very nice but wasn't open on the weekend which was a disappointment. Really good quality for the price. The pool is in the basement which was a mistake on our end, some old/incorrect pictures showed it as a rooftop pool which made spending a day at the pool impossible. Water in the room is outrageously expensive, $10/bottle! The shower/tub combo was a bit uncomfortable - I'm very average size and it was too narrow to stand shoulder width. The room was starting to show some signs of age but still a very good value.
this is a big hotel and near the center of the santiago... not bad
Location, location, location. I wish there were more restaurant choices.
Very nice lobby layout. Nice breakfast. Classy rooms. Very polite and helpful staff. The hotel did not charge me for a late cancellation 1 night due to cancelled airline flight when they could have by their terms and conditions.. The City Tour they organised was terrific.Highly recommended Coffee concentrate is pretty poor compared to proper brewed coffee but this seems to be the standard in South America. Meals expensive compared to good restaurants close by. More complimentary water in vathroom would be appreciated as to purchase it is USD10.
great location, very comfortable the internet was inconsistent
The room was big and very nice. You could only trade inxxx US each day per room. Also, one day we returned to our room at 3:30 PM and it still wasn't cleaned.
We stayed for 4 nights, while visiting our daughter, a student abroad for the semester. The room we chose was not available on arrival, we were upgraded to the club level floor. We had access to 3 lovely meals a day, continual drinks, snacks, anything we wanted. It is right next to the metro stop, a huge advantage. Everyone is very friendly, and they do everything to make you feel welome and pampered. They will arrange cars, drivers, whatever you need. the roof top pool is an amazing retreat, with a lovely out door area. The rooms are nice, great beds, and constant service. The hotel is worth the price, would love to stay again.
beautiful hotel, great service!!!
parking lot had not entretainment areas poor breakfast windows look toward neighbord apartment
the staff was very helpful, the breakfast very good and the bed comfortable, and the choice of firm or soft pillows a very good idea,we will be returning to the hotel after our trip to the country side.
Well located, clean rooms, calm, nice staff, breakfast included in the rate.
location this is my second stay at the hotel, this time I did not like the bed (matress), but since it was a short time I did not complain, so I can't complain
Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was fine and just 5 minutes from the Metro station. The hotel looks quite old, my room smelled cigarette smoke and it was much smaller than it seems to be in the pictures. Breakfast is not served in the restaurant, it is just a small basket brought to your room containing 2 slices of mold bread, some cereal and crackers, a small box of milk and another of juice, very poor in my opinion.
Great location. Very nice staff. Large and quiet room. well equipted kitchen.
Location, near transportation, downtown, and restaurants. Attentive staff. And room comfortable. This was an apart hotel with a suitable kitchen. They left your pre-packaged breakfast for you every afternoon. Nothing really worthwhile. And considering the price it might be better to choose a hotel with a good breakfast included in the rate.
room comfortable, good price and good location
I really appreciated their hospitality and helpfulness. They were kind and informative, giving good guidance about Santiago and Chile. It is a very good selection, in terms of value for money. The breakfast. It could be more inspired by the local tastes and could contain more fruits and in general fresh food regarding confitures and cakes, rather than the packed idustrial stuff that you can buy from a kiosk.
confortable and clean room. continental coffee break in the room really good. wireless signal not so strong in the apartment I have stayed
Above all, the location. Very safe neighborhood, very close to a subway station, shops and restaurants. In addition, the room was clean and the hotel was quiet (except for the noise from the traffic in the street below). The air-conditioning equipment in my room. However, other rooms might have different pieces of equipment. The continental breakfast served in the room was just OK, nothing else. The indoor pool is not really for the guests; it seemed that it was also used for water aerobics classes open for the public.
The staff and location really make this hotel a place to remember. From the first second of your arrival the staff make a great effort to be accommodating and friendly. The hotel is locate across the street from a nice park and is a short walk from museums and an abundance of restaurants and shops. Highly recommended. My only real complaint is the TV had a limited selection of channel options, but when you are visiting someplace new you probably shouldn't hang out in your room anyway.
Very clean, fantastic location, great design, excellent service, and tasty breakfast. No complaints!
Excellent spacious apartment near to city trip starting point. Next to shopping mole with large variety of good restaurants. Indifferent staff. Good value for money when you want just to stay in a luxury apartment strategically located. The view is fantastic from the 34th floor The staff
The view was spetacular, the service excellent and we had complete privacy. This was the highlight of our whole South America Trip.
Rooms were big, clean, with all required facilities, service very friendly, breakfast awesome, The taxi service. They worked with a company whic was charging too much
The suites are massive, the views from the living room were truely spectacular, a birdseye view of the city with the mountains in the background. The kitchen is very handy if you are self catering, there is a massive supermarket a few metres away. The bedroom was described as "fabulous" by my girlfriend, loads of storage space, satellite tv, comfy mattress and pillows. The breakfast was not that exciting, but fine. Bread, yoghurt, cereal, 'fruits of the season' (which were pineapple, grapes, strawberries and melon) eggs, ham and cheese. One of the mornings the juice tasted like it was gone off. It would not put me off returning, it is an amazing place with really friendly and helpful staff
The views were amazing, lovely large apartment perfect for self catering with well equipped kitchen. A splash of luxury. It was a bit of a hike from town, nearest metro 10 minute walk away. Also the pool was out of service when we were there and no steam room in the ladies.
