Brand new, clean room. Very cool bathroom. Good and spacious. Not much wardrobe space for hanging. Hotel staff not as friendly as they could be.
Clean, friendly, and convenient. The buffet cost for adults seemed a little high - $18/person.
The hotel is close to Nestroy subway station, in a very good location (15 min walking from Stephanplatz),clean rooms, new furniture (the hotel was opened in the previous week of our arriving) Due to the fact that the hotel is new opened and the interior not fully functional a lot of workers are walking around and knock at the doors all the time disturbing the customers. After the hotel will be fully functional definitely will be a very good place to stay for city trips and not only in Wien.
New renovated part of the hotel is really nice, friendly staff t the reception. sauna and gym facilities are used in old part of the hotel which not in best condition, for sure not 4 stars services.
Although is relatively closed to the city center (15-20 min walk), there's nothing around the hotel.
Breakfast, room interior, connection with the city center. Staff service at the reception desk.
Nice room, comfortable bed, easy access Wireless Internet did not work as expected/"promised" in the literature.
goood conection with metro stations for city center , big and comfort room eqwiped with safe deposit box and total eqwiped bathroom , on each floor smoking terace
1)Head manager took my cramessereously and tried to fix them. 2) Most guestrooms had their terrace I booked this hotel because the hotel information showd that a wireless LAN was available from guest rooms. But it turned out that I could use wireless LAN only at the hotel front.
really god value for money that we spend there for accommodation. There is just few details the WiFi doesn't work but we get the cable for connecting to Internet and it was fine. cleaning service was not really 100% but i have no problems during the stay. Cheep mini-bar.
My stay was, as a whole, excellent. The location is as good as you're going to get without paying hundreds of euros. Metro station is 1 block away and takes you downtown in less than 5 minutes. The hotel is brand new (opened Dec 2009) and rooms are very nice and spacious, especially for Europe. Front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Next time I'm in Vienna, this will be the first hotel I'll look at. They mention a "fitness center" which really is not a "center", only 2 cardio machines and 1 weight machine. Not bad at all, but I wouldn't advertise as a "fitness center".
The location was very conveniently located. The room was spacious and it had a balcony. the bed was hard
1. Location - convenient to my meeting at the Austrian Standards Institute and to the subway.
the closness to downtown the noise
Location is good - city centre is within easy reach. Additionally breakfast was also quite good too. The price tag is a bit too high.
Good location and good breakfast
it was very easy to reach the city centre no airconditioning and this was a problem because it was hot and by opening the windows it was very noisy.
Friendly staff and central location.
Convenient for metro; can walk to city centre; convenient for vienna international centre (IAEA)
Good location!. I enjoyed being here, clean rooms, good service, nice breakfast and the room was very big to be for a single one. 30 mts from the U-bahn and 10-15 minutes from most of Citi center main attractions. The only thing to mention as not being so good during my stay, was the attention from the one who was attending in the Saturday night. He seems to be understanding anything of what I was asking for and answering not in a proper way...but anyway, the rest of the staff was great.
(+) Value for money (included free wi-fi) (+) Clean and modern room (-) No Air-conditioning in the room!!! (how can the hotel be 4 stars? I had to ask for a fan, which quantity was limited) (-) No decent restaurants within the neighberhood (-) Breakfast: very basic (-) No confirmation from the hotel for private parking, if there is a private parking at all (I reserved but found out, on the spot, that there was no space...in the end, I parked in public areas for free because it was the weekend...the hotel told me that they never give feedback to customers' requests...?!?)
Staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful. Very old school and classy.
The hotel is very clean, good breakfast, room very well confortable. I reserved a parking at the hotel but was not possible to have the all time we stayed there, in the first day the gate was broken and we decide to leave the car nearby the hotel using the permit the hotel provide with a fee payment, less than the hotel would charge, but is too com plicate to find space.
Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was great, location was alright. Alexander is helpful. Woman at desk less tahn helpful, and quite rude at times. Rooms were pretty warm, with no ventilation unless you open front door and windows.
friendly male receptionist at late check-in, ok breakfast very noisy all night so got little sleep. noisy birds at breakfast
The room and toilet Nothing
Nice rooms, great bathroom, very good service, excellent coffee at breakfast, breakfast good quality, we had a very nice time there old school design in public spaces, wrong information regarding parking in the streets from the day shift receptionist
Nice location, close to tube, nice room although a little small, but it was just me for business, so fine. Hotel staff are obviously happy, but I really didn't want conversations outside my door each morning pre 8am! The shower never got hot, but just warm.
Very nice athmosphere, quiet neighbourhood, good connection with the city center. Very, very poor breackfast - not a four star hotel from this point of view. No Wi-fi connection in rooms
The location of the hotel was very good, we reached the center in 5 minutes by metro. The rooms have been renovated and they have a fantastic design, especially the bathroom. It has a great relation price-value. The staff of the hotel was rude and unfriendly. I don't think that they would kill them to smile and talk to the turists. For some reason, wireless did not work in our laptops and we asked the reception what could be the reason. They replied that they did not know, they could not find out and said that they did not have anything else to say. The hotel has a (free access) fix computer in the lobby so the facilities of the hotel are good.
The staff were very friendly and the hotel was well situated. It was very warm in Vienna when I was there and the rooms had no airconditioning which meant the windows had to be opened. the hotel is on a busy street and having the windows open meant there was a lot of traffic noise
The room I got was spacious and quiet. The reception was not exactly welcoming, more like: "can I have your passport?", a form was filled in and I got my key.
Friendly staff. Fair price. Easy tram links to centre of Vienna.
This was our third stay in this hotel. Compared to last year there were several noticeable improvements - the lighting of the room is now satisfactory and the bahroom shower has a curtain!!
towels were changed diurnally. heating system, internet connection, stuff, room furniture, facilities.
We had no time to spend in the hotel but I have an impression of very, very polite staff. My very first impression was that we are in the wrong place and should leave. The reason was the receptionist whose attitude was somehow discriminative. The look he gave us was not alright at all but we were too tired, and also we felt offended. He then put us in a wrong room for non smokers, with a single bed (we wanted separate beds, smokers) and with all our luggage we had to go down again and swallow our pride to accept the attitude of this male receptionist. With five words - I felt guilty I am not gay (!!!!!)
LAN connection in the room didnt work properly
The morning breakfast was awesome.
the room was confortable the situation is not as centric as they say
Cleanliness of the room
Clean rooms with en suite bathrooms were excellent. Bedroom furniture was comfortable. Liked the electronic safe in the room too. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Hotel very convenient for underground trains and the Austria Centre. With the exception of my non-smoking bedroom, the entire hotel was full of cigarette smoke. As a non-smoker I found this disgusting. I spent the entire week with a blocked / runny nose as a result. The situation is as it used to be in the UK: smoking and non-smoking areas are separated only by a sign on the wall, which means that one is constantly a passive smoker. Foul.
the comfort, everything......locationa, all....
Booked the room for my parents. Good value for the price, reasonable location, friendly staff.
Breakfast was well organised. Hotel staff were very polite. Explanation about hotel location considering underground station should be a little bit better.
clean and comfortable hotel, close to the underground and Prater. -
The room is very spacious. The staffs are friendly.
Big room. Clean hotel.
very good bathroom, bar in the room (with microvelle)
The staff were excellent and the room was very clean, tv was very good with the films on demand for free
Free access to 24hr gym. Very helpful and friendly staff with excellent English. Rooms were very large
Staff were friendly and very helpful when recommending restaurants and describing the city layout in relation to the hotel. 16 euros for two gin & tonics is expensive.
A big luxury room with all comforts near a metro station!!Perfect! Nothing bad.Everything was perfect!
Very close to the subway station and 1 stop away from the prater park or uno city. Room is very spacious. It takes quite a while from the highway to get to the hotel.
The staff were friendly, the room was very spacious clean and comfortable. It felt safe. Very near public transport and amenities. Easy to get to. The breakfast was a little overpriced at €12 as it was pretty basic. the dining area was a little noisy
It is close to city centre and conference center, close to the subway (10 seconds walk). The room are very clean. The triple room include one double bed and a single bed, instead of other hotels who provides twin beds and single bed. so they provide one supplementary bed on the floor on demand, but then there's few space left to be 3 in the room.
Walking distance from city center. Clean, efficient staff, delicious breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to stay in Wiena. Not at all.
Room size Staff
Nice lobby area and bar was ok Rooms were hot, a little away from what is really considered city center
the hotel location was very good with easy access to puplic transport and the hotel staff was extremly helpfull no
the room is big because we got a promotion price, so the hotel gave us a poor quality facilities, no kettle, no washcloth, no enough slipper
room was little big and the the staff is helpful, cleanliness the hotel is 15 min. from near U station and the way from hotel to station is frightening at night
clean and quiet hotel in peacefull area bit outside off the center.center is anyhow easily reached by tram or hotel´s shuttle service. good dining by donau. information about using the saunas and spa could have been more clear allready at entrance off the spa. swimmingsuits could have been available as there is no sauna only for men. ( only ladys and mixed )
The hotel was nice, the staff is high qualified and ready to help. The service level is very good. The hotel is situated far from the city centre, but there is a shuttle bus between two Hilton Vienna hotels (from our hotel to the hotel in the cnetre and back). It's very good for the people, but the only not very good moment, that the bus is too small (8 persons only) and there ia a problem to reserve seats there every time You want. All other services offered by the hotel were good.
The situation was ver pleasant, and the food in the restuarant was excellent No
That the location was right along the Danube, the outdoor pool was clean and cool, and the workout facilities/hot tub were great Most everything else we did not like - the staff was inexperienced and rude, not able to answer our most basic questions, the air conditioning didn't work very well and it definitely did not live up to our expectations....especially for the price.
Everything was perfect! Spacy room, beautiful view over the river and all what I need to relax! slow check-out - be prepared for long waiting in the morning
Big spacious room, very fast elevator. Airport bus shuttle stops before the hotel, very close to Ernst Happel Stadium. Coffee and Tea making facilities. Small noisy elevator (room service?) in service room next to our room made noise during nights and early morning. I had not expect this in a hotel like this.
The location was great. The staff was a mixed bag Some of the reception staff was not helpful- didn't provide all the necessary info or held back/have misinformation. Weren't able to give proper directions, didn't seem knowledgeable and didn't try to go out of their way.
location close to saturn center Cleanliness , the rooms provided to us are very dirty and stains all over the beds and carpets. The staff are not helpfull when I asked to change the room especially the lady on the desk.
very near to Prater, new furniture, modern hotel I didn't really like the absence of WI-FI in the room.
Very good location, next to metro station. Very calm region. The staff of the hotel very kind. Rooms new and clean. I would recommend this hotel to whoever comes in vienna for whatever reason. Expensive breakfast.
Comfortable beds N/a
The location is good, the rooms is bright and clean and have a nice view you can find all you need. Very recommended. No bellman to help you with your luggage.
Hotel nis very clean No breackfast
Room was imaculate. Very quiet hotel, although with many people no sound could be heard when in the room. Great comfort. Breakfast was not included in hotel rate, and it would cost extra EUR 13- for a single breakfast. Didnt have breakfast there but definitly not worth it, for that money you could have breakfast in the center in one of many expensive Viennese Cafes
The moquette on the floor and the cordiality of the receptionists Nothing
Not very easy to reach by public transportation. A new stop of the metro will be however soon opened very close to the hotel.
the hotel was nice and i faced no problems.
problems with the bill, useless/rude staff, prostitutes around the hotel
breakfast and quite room
Checking out The hotel was tacky. It lacked style, quality or sense of place. It also was not worth the money and I am airports and mislead that the comments were generally so positive about what was a dissapointingly ordinary hotel.
The general ambience. No
Charming, beautiful. Nothing a trouble in making us feel comfortable. Just brilliant service Nothing
The hotel is very clean ,Brakfast was very rich and very good,
A nice relaxing comfortable hotel that my wife and I would use again. The atmosphere was very friendly, and the we liked the historical aspect, and not forgetting the wonderful breakfast. No dislikes
I stayed just for one day. But I realy liked you breakfast. Not, concerning the lenght of my stay.
Excellent Hotel, highly recommended, Excellent staff, Did good job in helping us tour the city, Save us trouble in ordering tickets to city events of us. High price
Close to the old center of Vienna
Excellent hotel in good location, an easy walk into town. Large, comfortable room with big well appointed bathroom. Friendly, professional staff with excellent dining and activity suggestions for Vienna. Best breakfast buffet. Would highly recommend and use again.
Excellent location and breakfast buffet. Staff went out of their way to help us find tickets for a sold out show. We had 3 persons in two rooms. Both rooms were very nice. The in-room air-conditioning worked, but it could barely keep up with the very hot weather.
Price Comfort of additional sofa
Hotel is well located (15~25 minutes walking from alll major attractions) 4 minutes from u bahn station. rooms are clean and practical, minimal amenities. Hotel's own parking (20€/day), convenient but not cheap. WiFi free but slow, enough for work or minimal usage. Practical, convenient, very good value. recommended. The Meininger is a fair deal, no compaints. Consistent good value.
Clean, well maintained, staff nice. Although, clean and comfortable, poor lighting, no tub, small bathrooms and no A/C. We were there when temps raised to 90 degrees F, and went to another hotel.
Good location, nice staff, rooms are clean, good value for money The kitchen is not large and was sometimes crowded during breakfast
Friendly staff, very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Very nice lobby. Well furnished. Free wireless internet. Some fresh fruit at breakfast. The only caveat would be if you are a light sleeper, as the walls are quite thin. Also, the hotel faces onto a reasonably busy street, with a tramline running along it. As there was no AC in the room, and it got quite stuffy, this might be an issue in the summer if you had to sleep with the window open.
The hotel is within a walking distance from the city centre (app. 30 min), Kunst Haus Wien and Hundertwasser are app. 1km away, the central railway station is within walking distance, and the metro and the tram are practically on the door step. The parking is easy (tho on the dear side ~12€/day, but only during the week). The staff are super friendly. The curtains could be washed and the carpets replaced by the wood.
Great boutique hotel close to train station. The breakfast was amazing!!
good location, easy accessibility the cleaning lady woke us up at 8:20am with terrible noise, trying to get into our room 5times, which made our stay very unpleasant.
The friendly and helpful staff went out of their way to help. The location of the hotel, although a little bit out of the centre of town, was never an issue as the public transport in the area was A1.The immediate area around the U bahn station has some vagrants hanging around but they never seemed to bother anyone and the presence of a police station across the road should but even the most nervous at ease. All in all a great hotel for the money. Nothing to do with the hotel but the yellow bus sightseeing company didn't seem to conform to the usual punctuallity you come to expect in Vienna
The room is massive, way bigger than you can comprehend from the pictures. Wifi works great, TV has enough channels and the subway station is only 3 mins walking away. The room is clean and cozy. The furniture and decor is clearly dated. There are rugs all over the place, most of them clearly in need of replacement. However, this is an aesthetic issue, otherwise the hotel has strong value for money!
the lovely staff not value for amount paid
even day faces at the desk seemed to change every half day, each staff has been extremely helpful and friendly; keen to facilitate our discovery of Vienna friendly suggestion for improvement: adding bedside lamp(s) would be great
Location of hotel, nice lobby, friendly staff expensive parking on the streets around the hotel
Good location, close to the train station, and there is a supermarket beside, clean and beautiful room, and you can have beakfast in their beautiful courtyard.
friendly staff, quiet area, easy to locate
The beds were comfortable. The room - too small, too noisy, bad quality (it must be renovated, especially the bathroom). Maybe there are better quality rooms but no. 212 does not meet my expectations. In addition, a
Good hotel with perfect location. However I still haven't received my deposit of 150 euro back.
Very clean and modern facilities. Good location in Vienna. Friendly staff. And very comfortable bed.
The stuff was very helpful and friendly, 10 minutes to Stephansplatz and the tube station. Elevators were poor.
Central position Breakfast too expensive
the restaurant was very small
Close to the center
Helpful staff, modern facilities
It is very conveniently located, right across the canal from Section 1. We were close to public transportation and the bus to the airport. We paid cash for the first morning's breakfast. When it showed up on our closing charges, they would not believe us, so we paid 56 euros for breakfast for two!
Nice hotel, but a bit noisy...
Rooms were very functional, they thought of every little detail for such an small room. I was misinformed about the location, I thought it was right @ city center, but I had to walk 6-10 blocks to get to it.
The service, the staff, the room with its wonderful bathroom & the view, the view from the 18th floor restaurant & cocktail lounge. The location would have been better if it were on the Ring Strasse where the Ritz Carlton &The other 5 star hotels are located. A beautiful boulard near all the high end shopping &The Opera House.
great overall design, Restaurant & bar at 18th floor -
Nice modern hotel with wonderful staff.
Cool bar, very nice staff Sticky furniture, Plastic degraded, supposedly will be renovated next year.
Staff. Superb staff. It is rare in Europe to receive hospitality like this. 100 stars to them. Special thanks to night manager, missing his name. Austrian guy. Little heavy. Just perfect. I wish there was a swimming pool.
contemporary, clean, lots of amenities, complementary water and juice, free internet, close to u-bahn station (schwedenplatz) and short walk to center of city room was bit small and layout was awkward for those used to american hotels.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.

The sky lounge is wonderful
Perfect location to walk or take public transportation also the room is beautiful and great service It was perfect
It was lovely hotel, modern rooms, amazing river view, smiley, friendly, helpful staffs, they did upgrade my room, thanks for all staffs. NOTHING
The hotel was close to the railway station and we were also able to walk into the city centre. The free WiFi was great as my husband needed to keep up with his business. The breakfast was more than adequate.
The staff was very friendly and went of their way to help us make tour reservations. This trip was for our 10th anniversary and it was well worth it. Evelyn, one of the front desk personnel helped me plan our anniversary evening by suggesting, and booking, the Schonbrunn package which included tour, dinner, and concert. My wife and I were very pleased with the evening. The hotel itself was a great location for us to begin our daily excursions into the city. When we go back to Vienna the Wilhelmshof Hotel will be #1 on my list for staying at.
Location Value for money Internet was erratic during my stay particularly in my room
the breakfast no coffeemaker in room
The smell of the toilets.
Very nice breakfast. What was the best that there are sliced tomatos in slices, not in quartes, which you can easier put on your sandwich. Additionally there were also fresh sliced pineapples for a breakfast.
Pleasant staff, good breakfast, good location.
Excellent hotel. Artsy. Staff helpful. Best buffet breakfast in town. Hot hotel maids. Best party scene one block away. Quiet neighbourhood. Less than a mile walk from center. Small elevator but kinda adventurous. Weird tainted glass bathroom door.
Location in the town and room design -
Wifi connection was the most important for me
breakfast nice rooms staff near metro
The location of the hotel was perfect, close to metro station, restaurants and innercity. The breakfast was very satisfactory and the staff very helpful. Was great to stay in Wilhelmshof!
