This is a very clean hotel with wonderful service from the staff. However, the rooms are not much, no more than an average room @ Motel 6. And the bed is hard as a rock and small. You’ll need to carry an iron, as the hotel does not have one in the room or to loan. The US embassy is only a 5 minute walk away (two blocks) and you will be with-in a 5 minute taxi ride to an incredible 3 floor mall with a 2 floor Exito supermarket and 7 screen cinema. The complementary breakfast is very good and room service is prompt. The rooms we stayed in didn’t have an air conditioner, yet it’s not really a problem in Bogota beings the climate is rather cool most of the time. There are many little shops near that cater to the people going to the embassy, such as photocopiers, internet shops and such. Bottom line, the hotel is overpriced but that is due to location, clean room and great service.
The rooms were nice sized with a separate sleeping area. Nice large tub was a plus but the bed was rock hard even by Bogota standards, they charged extra for Internet access, their bar was closed and their on site dining was under construction.Being right around the corner to the US Embassy might be convenient if you are working there but if you are looking to go out to eat or drink find a hotel in a different area of town there isn't anything near this hotel.
The price for this hotel was fair but I expected more in the quality in the room. The prices for food services are on the expensive side. Food in the local area is extremely inexpensive. The food at the hotel, aside from expensive, is not that good. I was very impressed by the security at the hotel. At night there is no access to guests unless they sign in with ID and with you as escort. I believe guests have to leave the hotel at a certain hour. There was an armed guard by the elevators. Aside from the cramped room and bad food, the hotel is adequate and medium to high priced for a hotel away from the water.
THE SERVICE AND STAFF THE BEDS ARE TERRIBLE, THEY ARE A WOOD BOARD, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, NEVER SLEEP ON A MATTRESS SO UNCOMFORTABLE, I ASKED TO BE MOVED TO ANOTHER ROOM BUT THE BED WAS JUST AS BAD. WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN, SERIOUSLY, THEIR MATTRESSES ARE A DISGRACE.
good service room very small
best of the 5-6 hotels I've stayed in while in Bogota. Very clean, great shower water pressure, complimentary breakfast was worth waking up for, room size was great with good lighting, and trendy styling which set it apart. Complimentary shuttle took longer than the 15 minutes quoted to return to the airport and sink faucet had no water pressure...hard to wash my face and brush my teeth
Quietnes a bit difficult to find
We stayed at the property on Calle 56 37A08. It's located near the Simon Bolivar park and the Salitre sports complex. It's one of their two properties. The other property has more rooms. It's a $10 cab ride to the center and the affluent parts of town. But, the low cost ($82/night for two people in a comfortable room) still allows you to come out ahead, even with the cab rides. The room was very simple, but very clean, the water in the shower was hot, the toilet was modern, the TV reliable, and the part you'll like best, the Internet was wireless with a strong signal everywhere in the hotel and great throughput out to the world. I was able to remote into my machines at work and home in the States with ease. Skype-ing and video chats were perfect. The beds are very firm, which I like, but I know my wife and daughters would prefer something softer, but it's still very good. Local calls are free, and they will arrange for an international call at a reasonable rate. Breakfast is included in the price, and although all the ads say "Continental," we had eggs cooked to order (including a ham and cheese omelette), OJ, and Cafe con Leche with fresh baked bread every morning. We were even served at 6:30 AM for an early start on the day. Lunch and dinner are optional and extra, but are also cooked to order if you ask in the morning. If you ask right at lunch or dinner, you'll get what they've cooked, if there's any left over. Prices for Lunch and Dinner are very reasonable and the quality is superb. I had pan-seared chicken breast with white rice and home-made french fries with a s side salad for dinner once. Simple as it sounds, it was one of the best meals I had while in Bogota. Just remember, if you ask for lunch or dinner, show up when you say you will, because your food will be hot and waiting for you. If you don't show up, then they will be a bit grumpy (understandable) and will still charge you (which is fair). Remember, meals are to order.
Service accurate due to the small number of rooms, internet free, safe and peaceful place Bathroom communicates with the one of the adicent room (partial wall)
The facilities and the service were very good. The breakfast included with the room was great. Good parking space for your own or rented car.
The staff was very pleasant, helpful and prompt with service. I enjoyed my stay very much. The breakfasts were very good.
