The hotel had direct beach access, and close to great outdoor shopping, and was a very good value for the money. The staff was friendly and attentive It seemed a little run down, but that was in character for a hotel that was as old as this.
Cheap renovations with premium cost of accommodation. Parking cost is unreasonable. Our first room had not been cleaned after the previous guests. We were switched to a worse/smaller room. There was no acoustic privacy.
Location, beach access Poor hotel management, and poor service when allocating rooms and requesting guests to change rooms. They tried to downgrade us on the first night (the room was already paid for), and also offered us to sleep at an other hotel on the first night because our room was not available. Not accessible. Swimming pool area: Bathroom at the pool could be the bathroom of a 2 star hotel, and there are no indoor shower.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The ocean facing room was beautiful and comfortable with a nice clean modern design aesthetic that was very minimal and lent itself to the great view and balcony. The staff throughout was all smiles and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves just fine. A great location just above south beach to keep you close to the night life and local color but far enough away to be comfortable. I had such a good stay that I booked a second night. Also good internet speeds which was crucial since I was on business and uploading lots of files.

There was a significant amount of blood on the walls between the doors of our room and the room next door (how can you miss that? who is looking over this place??)
I am a former Miami citizen and so I am picky and savvy. The Royal Palm is simply beautiful. The furniture, flooring, light fixtures, landscaping, are well designed and maintained. My room was clean, chic, had an amazing view. Bathroom was modern and lovely. Bed and sheets were comfortable. Your stay includes beach chairs and towels and service (cocktails and food) at your chair. I felt like a queen and was treated exceptionally well by the staff at the beach. I accidentally left my grandmother's ring in my room after checkout and the bellhop mobilized the housekeeping staff to look for and find it. I am so grateful! And whoever is running this place is doing all the important things right. I am a frequent traveler and will DEFINITELY be returning to the Royal Palm Resort. Oh, and you can't beat the location... I requested a late checkout, as I was unsure when I would be done with my meetings, and the gentleman at the front desk smirked and laughed at my request, which I did not appreciate. I do not fault the Royal Palm for this I still feel, despite this individual, I had an amazing experience and I will definitely return.
Aside from everything being over-priced, it's situated in a very convenient location that's a few blocks down from all the shops and restaurants, plus the rooms were extremely comfortable! Everything was nice and CLEAN, staff was friendly, and the hotel is a couple steps away from the beach. Will definitely choose this place again! Over-priced services, drinks and food...and they charged us a $30 resort fee per day which we weren't informed about when we first checked in.
It's right on the beach! Housekeeping staff took my iPhone 6 charger and took the bottles of alcohol that I bought and placed in the fridge. They also took my razors. Also noticed that while they are on the floors cleaning they keep all of the doors open even if they have other people's property in them which makes it really easy for someone else to go in to your room and take your stuff.

Great hotel in great location.have read other reviews and I can only say that people who are negative must be very pickey! Staff were lovely, loved the hammocks on the beach and the overall feel of the place, even went back for an extra night at the end of the holday.

Parking is 25 dollar a day withs is very expensive, but everywere in miami parking is expensive. We stay two days in this hotel. The airconditioning was very noisy could not find anything to put out.
Room was clean. Staff and manager were very polite and helpful, yet never in the way. There when I needed them. Good location, felt safe at night, near all the fun stuff in South Beach. Can walk in just a few minutes to wide range of restaurants & clubs. Definitely needs to be renovated. Carpets, paint, doors, furnishings all a bit beat up and dated. Not terrible, but getting there fast. Lobby was VERY dated and color scheme poorly considered. Given its location and the nicer hotels right next door, a full renovation would seem like a very good investment. Pool was closed when I was there. From what I could see they are in no hurry to get it done. Door locks for the rooms seem like 1970's technology, with an actual key made from plastic and with little metal strips at the end. Big and clunky. That's another area to update.

It was close to shopping, food, and the beach. It was clean and the lobby was nicely decorated. It had a nice outside eating area. The hotel was quite old, our beach front room was on the side overlooking the next door hotel's roof. Over that you could see the ocean, which was quite far away. The balcony was old, and shared with the room next door. The pool was plain (the Double tree hotel next door was nicer and a bigger pool) They had a sandy area with hammocks that was ok, but not near the pool.
The oceanview was really nice. The room modern decorations were nice as well. I did not like that the AC was stuck on 74. After walking around hot Miami Beach and you come back to your room to cool off but you can't because you can't change the AC so you end up sweating for about 30-40 minutes. Called reception and they said they would send someone to check it out but nobody ever came. That was the only bad part about our stay.
It was beautifull. Had a wonderfull view the bed was nice and the room was very clean. I had a spacious closet and had a restarunt right in the hotel. I also liked how they give u a complimentary alcoholic drink as a welcome gift.:) very relaxing and I recomend this hotel.. The only problem I had was the shower wasnt strong and the hot and cold was difficult to use.

The Delano was a beautiful hotel with an awesome pool and atmosphere. The staff was friendly and overall really cool. Great for a one time indulgence. The rooms were a bit small and our floor was sandy upon arrival. The all white decor was ok, but really let you know if something wasn't clean, and unfortunately many things on our bed had stains. As for the prices, they were absurd. There wasn't a single thing that was complimentary here. 30 dollars for wifi for two days, overpriced cocktails, food and drink and the biggest offense of all was the fact that you had to pay more than starbucks prices for coffee in the morning. Seriously not ok for the price you pay for just staying there. Lastly, the sushi bar was just awful, 3 pieces in and we closed our check.
Just the location and the nightlife "knowledge" of the concierge The Rooms were too old-fashioned. The Bathroom was smaller then 4m2. The elevators were bad smelling. And to have access to the fitness you had to pass through the old linen storage.

This hotel has the most friendly staff who always welcome you back. Best pool, pool bar and DJ experience. The sushi restaurant in the lobby is outstanding. My all white decorated room faced the ocean and had spectacular view of beach. Highly recommend this property. The gym could be upgrade and/ or located in a different part of hotel (it feels like being in the dungeon of the hotel). The cable sometimes goes in and out.

The location is terrific, the outside pool and pool dj is awesome. Plus the lobby is aesthetically pleasing. The rooms are terribly small and all white. Not in a cool way, but in a "one flew over the coo-coo's nest way". VERY LAME for 2014. They need to renovate this property asap. Also, nothing inside the room is clean. The little throw rug in the room had debris and old un-vacuumed crumbs all over. Very nasty.

The location, the pool and some of the staff are great. The rooms are also fairly comfortable even though they are well outdated. This place is the most absurdly expensive place even by south beach standards. It is really pathetic what they charge for food and drinks. If it wasn't for the scenic pool no one would stay here. During our stay the beach club had a pimp soliciting business very loudly on multiple days whom the hotel refused to kick out despite multiple parties complaint. The Delano is a magnet for sketchy characters. The place is surviving off of its reputation and pool alone. Go here if you don't mind being gouged and enjoy the occasional strung out pimp at the beach, but if you're looking for a modern luxury hotel, this isn't it.
We liked Chris at the fron tdesk. He new he was in a substandard hotel but we told him that he should be someplace worthy of his effort! The two rooms we eneded up having were both very dated and old.

Location, pool area, room & bed comfort. It is located right out of the loud crowd on Ocean Drive, so it is a lot more chilled and relaxed. Overall, much better than all other hotels on South Beach. I can't quite say it was a true 5 star experience in terms of appearance and for the premium price. But again, a lot better than the other hotels around.

Every staff member said hello to me. Staff was very friendly The Spa experience was ok, Massage for a deep tissue was weak. The Sauna was not on, I turned it on but should be preheated for guests or what good is it. For $440 for 2 - 50 minutes massages I expect more.
The first night was a disaster. At about 5:45 p.m. I called down to report a loud fan/ motor annoying noise. They said they would send someone up. We left about 20 minutes later for a dinner reservation.When we came back later that evening it was late nothing had changed. we were to tied to do anything so we tried to go to bed. Sleep did not come for either of us easily and we were up a good part of the night. The next day I complained and the girl offered us a $50.00 credit and would move us down from the top floor in the same proximity. the noise was probably from the motors on the roof. Looking out after agreeing I saw all the fans from the building next door so I called back and said it was not acceptable. I was turned over to the Rooms manager (Emily) who was excellent we were moved closer to the front of the building, no noise good sleep a Ritz Carlton experience. First day terrible second day great. Location is perfect for experiencing all that South Beach has to offer; staff was fantastic and very accommodating; food was very good; The way of the travel world now appears to be to charge little bits (or more) for every little thing, this was no exception.

Proximity to beach and Lincoln Mall. Our room was right off the pool which was super convenient. Front desk staff couldn't have been nicer especially when I disputed some charges at checkout out. The facilities need maintenance. Particularly the pool area. Broken tiles and the bottom of the pool was chopping off in at least one large area. The bathroom also could use some maintenance. The vanity top had a chopper out of it and theme leftist was rusting in areas.
Such a great location and a nice looking botique hotel. But everything is ruined when the house keeping staff wakes up guests at 8 am by chattering to each other loudly in the halls waking me up 3 times before 9am. I'm the guest so your staffs behavior should not impact my experience. Yes you are a botique hotel so you should scale your service accordingly and know your staffs conversations carry through the entire floor. Don't stay here!!!!
Location! Loved how close I was to everything I wanted to see and experience. I didn't appreciate the size of the bathrooms especially the toilet area. I did not appreciate the fact that there is no parking or even a discount through the hotel. The decor can use an upgrade.

The location was excellent. It was within 2 blocks of Lincoln Street and 3 blocks from the Art Deco district. There was a private entrance from the back courtyard to the beach. The toiletries supplied were Neutrogena. Hard to resist using. The only thing was that I found the temperature to be too cold throughout the hotel.
This is by far the best ocean front deal on South Beach! When you step into this beautiful Art Deco Delight, you feel as if you have stepped back in time, everything is original and has been beautifully maintained. Our accommodations were spotless, very clean and location is simply outstanding. We walked to everything! The hotel sits on the sands of the Atlantic Ocean and the board walk with a lovey pool and restaurant area. You can easily walk to Lincoln Rd and many other attractions. There is no doubt, you can feel the love and pride in this family owned hotel. Very refreshing for South Beach! We will be back! Thank you Richmond Hotel! Melissa There is no parking but to be fare, that's typical for South Beach. Valet is 40.00 a day 2 beach chairs and umbrella can be rented by an outside company on the beach for 20.00 a day. The best position in Miami Beach, close to everything! The pool is nice and they give beach towels. They don't have any agreement for the beach chairs. The bathroom could be better.

The location was excellent. Good for shopping, sightseeing and of course, the beach, which was 1 minute walking distance away. None of the staff were friendly the 5 nights that we were staying at the Richmond and was really hard getting info out of them. Only the one guy was helpful and friendly. Did not like the hotels policy that i have to give my creditcard (because they do not accept cash) in case of damages(done to the room) during my stay at the Richmond, whereas at the other 2 hotels that i stayed at after leaving the Richmond had absolutely no problem accepting cash for any damage which could've been done to the room during my stay. Air condition in hotel was way too high. Aircon in room was broken the first nite and 2nd, 3rd and 4th nite, no hot water. I'm sorry to say' i didn't feel welcome at the Richmond.

It was $100+ per night cheaper than the National hotel It could have been a bit more updated but again, that is why it was cheaper. Shower could have been a bit cleaner and shower curtain and rod was the cheapest you could buy. Just a clear liner. Really no curtain. Bit of a musty smell but again, right for the price and not updated in a while so fine with me.

The hotel as such has everything it needs to be a heaven of quitness and luxery located in a nice part of Miami Not nice to stay there in a WE because than all they attention goes to the parties that are organised in the hotel. Hotelguest don't feel welcome any more at those moments. Families with kids even can't use the swimming pool in the WE ans at the beach they close at 5.30 pm !... During the night you're awakened regulary because of the noisy party guests, returning to their room. Conclusion: nice hotel from mo. till friday afternoon but otherwise, stay away there when you're whth kids !
It location is great and the beach is lovely right out front. The rooms are tired and need a refresh. The check in process was strange. We were told that they were sold out of the room category and we would be upgraded for one night and then had to move. We went back the next day and since I guess we were prepaid they tried to give us a handicapped room and was told this was the only one available. We had an argument with front desk manage Sandra and after three tries we got a room overlooking the parking lot that was acceptable.

I liked the smell of the lobby and it brought back memories for me when this was one of the coolest spots to stay in Miami Beach. It has definitely lost that X factor. Everything feels dingy and not kept up. Checking in was the longest process I have ever been through aNd the girl seemed nervous. Maybe she was new, but it was over and over the same information and had multiple cards for all kinds of things, unlike any check in experience I have had before. Seems like they get stiffed by other guests a lot before. The security are constantly checking if you are staying there and annoying...definitely have decided to hire less than personable staff in general. One of the front desk girls when handing me the final bill, held it out to me without looking at me as if passing on to the next task, CUSTOMER SERVICE 101! Treat each guest as if they are the only person in your world at that moment and look them in the eye with a smile. In general, the whole world has lost this touch, but you would think a 300 a night hotel would still care about this. Finally made it to the beach chair area after being asked twice to show room key by security and then the beach chair guy wanted me to walk all the way back to his booth to check in instead of just taking care of me at my chair. When I refused and told him to take care of it, he kept calling me boss in a derogatory way like I was asking too much. Hire people that care and understand that the only reason they have a job is because of people like me choosing your hotel!! This is standard and not asking too much. I should have great things to say because they did all of this basic stuff and then decided to do more!! They all need help on how to treat guests. There was a blood stain on newly replaced linen in my room. They did an okay job of responding but it should have never happened!!! They only took off the resort fee and $50 and then didn't do it! Had to remind the people upon checkout and they acted like I was lying to them. The valet brought my car when I asked and left it in the rain and not under the overhang!!! What?!! When I asked him to bring it out of the rain his reply was that they were too busy and slapped me on the shoulder like I was his friend and gave me a dirty look like I was asking too much. hahaha I will never again recommend this hotel to anyone as I always have in the past. I'M GOING BACK TO AIRBNB WHEN I TRAVEL NOW. HOTELS LIKE THIS ARE COMMON NOW.

At the pool construction work was in full swing which caused quite some noise, but the sister hotel at the other side of the street was accessible for guests so this offered a good alternative.

Its in south beach, close to restaurants, liquor stores, pharmacies (cvs and walgreens), that lincoln road mall thing, so you really dont need a car. Beach is a block away. Location in a general way is very nice. Pool is pretty big. Employees are nice. Beds were a little on the hard side, water from shower had no pressure, so showering wasnt the best experience either. But i mean, its there, so its not really a big deal. Thats it really. Oh, no complimentary coffee until 11:30 but thats just me being a cheap bastard.

The staff and service was incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the beach right in front. As well as the roofdeck. The $15 resort fee covers sunchairs, towels and umbrellas on the beach. The location of the hotel is excellent. Close to everything yet in a quiet area. Highly recommend staying here if you are willof to splurge a bit.

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and took their time to provide information and services. The food at the hotel restaurant was one phenomenally delicious. The decorative bed pillows were dirty and the maintainence people interrupted our stay at least three different times. Lastly the only elevator was small and extremely slow.

Great location! Right on Ocean Drive and had beach service as well as a rooftop lounge area. The onsite BLT Restaurant is excellent. A classy hotel with small but very attractive rooms (we stayed in the Classic), attractive bar and lobby, and an appealing verandah.

My fiance and I used it together and when he napped in the room one day, it was a perfect refuge for me to have some alone time. BLT Accessibility to Starbucks and the beach. Loved being "across" from the beach vs. directly on it. Your location is very nice. I do wish we could have a waiver for the resort and valet fees. Other hotels (The Tides) were giving what they call a summer Florida resident rate that also provided free valet and no resort fee. Plus, your pool was under construction. Nevertheless, we decided to pay the extra because The Betsy had the appeal we were looking for.

The location is excellent and the staff is very nice. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and spacius. If we come back to Miami we will probably repeat this hotel. We liked everything. It helped to have a great time in Miami.
Miami beach Convention center에서 개최하는 전시회에 참석 하는게 목적이었는데 약 500m 떨어진 곳에 있어서 접근성이 아주 좋았다. 상업지역으로의 접근도 걸어서 쉽게 갈 수 있어서 좋았고, 20불에 제공되는아침 식사도 대체로 만족한다. 다만 식당이 너무 좁은게 흠이다. 차라리 리셉션홀에다가 부페형식으로 차려 날라 먹게 하는게 낫지 않았을까 한다. 세탁물을 맡겼는데 세탁결과가 만족스럽지 못 했다. 얼룩이 지워지지 않은채로 그냥 배달 되어왔고 호텔직원은 확인하지도 않은채로 그대로 보관 했다가 내주었다. 가격이 정해져 있는게 아니라 세탁소에 물어봐서 다시 알려주는 식으로 세탁서비스가 완전하지 못하다.
Very nice pool. Hotel staff was friendly. Booking.com price was different that what I was charged at hotel. Hotel charged about 30 bucks more a night.
Nothing. We booked 6 nights, but leaved the hotel immediatly the next morning. All! Awful reception/blankets on the receptiontable; painting works; looked like a caserne! Old, bad smelling;
The cuisine at the restaurants was delicious. The pool was beautiful and the beach access a plus. The rooms were well decorated and the staff friendly. The location was also great. The rooms were small and there were not black out curtains. So, between the "thin walls" (hearing the cleaning staff banging around in the morning) and the light coming into our room, it was hard to sleep much past 7am. The price for drinks was extremely high and I did not appreciate having 19% added for gratuity before I even had a chance to evaluate the service.

The bartender was extremely informative, professional and mad very good drinks. Happy hour was nice. The elevator broke and we were stuck for 15 minutes. Also the towel rack in the bathroom broke, however it was promptly replaced. I was incorrectly charged for room flip flops, it was also promptly corrected.
Location Room size was extremely small and the maid service was pretty slow--I had to ask twice to get the room cleaned. We checked out four days early and changed hotels.
The service was great! The staff made our stay fun and carefree. Clean, updated rooms. Fun atmosphere and a great location. Highly recommended.
