The hotel rooms are decorated very nicely offering a sense of luxury. (1) The hotel was located further away from the major sightseeing attractions than I expected. (2) The hotel staff were fine however they often seemed put out at the front desk when asked for assistance. (3) The duvets on the beds are too small, leaving us exposed (and, therefore, cold) throughout the night as we slept. (4) Smoking is allowed in the common areas of the hotel which made it unpleasant for us non-smokers.
I am picky and spoiled when it comes to hotels. I stayed in an executive room for three nights here and it exceeded my expectations and rivaled some of the most luxurious, expensive hotel rooms I have stay in -- and at a small fraction of the price!! The hotel is a short walk to everything, a train station is less than a block away, and a tram runs right out the front door. When you first enter the hotel, the lobby is deceiving because it is small, worn and, dated. Enter you room and wow! The upgrade to the executive room is well worth it. It was exquisitely appointed, spacious and luxurious with a powder room and separate full bathroom. L'Occtaine toiletries were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was exceptional. The room was quiet. The breakfast spread in the hotel's famous restaurant was excellent. I am glad I booked the room with the breakfast option. It was very well worth it. Bottom line: I doubt I will ever find a better value anywhere in the world any time soon. The lobby needs updating.
Great art deco design with some excellent attention to detail and in a great location (if you turn right out of the front door). Room quite spacious for a city centre hotel. Bar is small - not somewhere for an intimate or quiet drink. Bar staff were often absent and never enthusiastic. Rate quoted on activehotels.com was not what was charged by the hotel - the rate was quoted in Euro and the hotel charged in Czech Koruna.
Location was excellent. The concierge was most helpful with concert tickets, directions, and a recommendation for a great restaurant. Very nice breakfast. All staff I dealt with was very helpful.
Very friendly staff, excellent location for the Christmas markets
nearness to Old Town 5 minutes walk and the Cafe Imperial
right in the center of the city, the hotel is walking distance to all main attractions. a very helpfull concierge and front desk. slight problem with the climatisation of the room due to weather transition period which was solved immediately by the technical service.
Helpful friendly staff and extremely comfortable and attractive accomodation
Beautiful room. Very good restaurant. There didn't appear to be any routine schedule with regard to housekeeping. Sometimes it would be before noon and one day the room hadn't been cleaned by 2 or 3 in the afternoon and we refused service because we would have had to leave the room.
Beautiful room and very good service from the staff
The staff were helpful. When I was told by the breakfast lady that breakfast wasn't included in my room & I showed her proof that it was & she wasn't honoring it, the front desk manager corrected the error The black out curtains in the room, facing the bright street were broken
Very comfortable stay, friendly staff, good spa/gym facilities and a small pool even, and a great location in the very centre of old Prague City. I thought the breakfast was pricey, especially when the menu was limited compared to many other Hotels of its Class !
Great hotel in the very city center! We enjoyed our stay a lot, inluding the dinner at a Zinc restaurant!
The Hotel is beautiful, the room was exceptionally comfortable great bathroom with bath & lovely Crabtree & Everlyn products. Health club included a small swimming pool. The location is excellent, tram stop almost outside the front - which made getting around the city a breeze, fast & efficient service. Also a supermarket opposite. The Hotel is very convenient to all the sights Having to check out
Very nice staff at both reception and restaurant! Very comfy bed, nice quiet room. We will definitely come back to enjoy the night and the food at Zinc!
Location and friendliness Noise from construction which was not told to us prior to check in
Very nice hotel in the city center, close to all main sights. Quiet room, friendly staff. They also have very good restaurant, definitely recommend! Really glad we have chosen this hotel!
room was spacious. very limited vegetarian food in brakefast and lounge
location main loby,
The staff in the executive lounge were most helpful...ad the location was great for our first visit to Prague. The management attitude is very poor when it comes to assuring my satisfaction with the maatresses in the hotel...like sleeping on the floor. and I have a billing problem. They did not honor the rate you gave me of 217 euros per night.,
I had good time in the hotel the AC is not qualified
Proximity to all sites in Prague, to the metro, to the trams, to the shopping area. Service excellent. Bar very quiet at night. We had to go out to have a drink in a social atmosphere.
Quality of fixtures and finishes was high - Bathroom very nice, Breakfast room and selection excellent. Service of all staff very high. Location very good.
The staff service is outstanding, perfect and very nice.
Staff very nice and helpful. excellent service we stayed in a room next to the lift. the noise was terrible!
The location was excellent. The room was luxurious. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. It was terrific having our car taken care of at check-in in this very busy city.
location is excellent. you can do all the important sites by walking. you don't need the metro. It was not 5 stars hotel service. We needed to argue about late checkout although the hotel was empty, the food in breakfast was cold, the room was small and no ventilation. The price of the transfer from the airport was outrageous.
From the moment I arrived, Oktavi at the front desk established this Hotel as Superior in every way, I honestly felt like I was being received at a 5 star hotel. The room was excellent, enormous windows, luxurious linens, a bathroom that anyone would envy to have in their own home, (a full-size deep-set tub, antique external plumbing fixtures of stainless and brass, Carrera marble everywhere, a bidet and plenty of counter space). Breakfast was the best of 8 hotels I stayed in on this visit, endless variety, perfect service, mountains of choices. I loved this hotel, it was worth twice the price I paid for it. Housekeeping was the only weak point, but even so, it wasn't bad enough to complain about. It was only a shadow in an otherwise perfect experience.
The location and the decor. No.
The hotel is situated next to the one of central street in Prague. Service is excellent. They have problem with Internet connection. It was exception that this time I really had to connect with the Internet... but I couldnt.
If next time I am go to Prague, I will stay only this hotel.Thank you.
The day we left my 13 yr old daughter was sick - we were allowed to keep one of our rooms without any fuss until 7.0p.m. - she was much inproved by then - that touch was just great No
Staff spoke English very well and helped with every little detail.
The hotel is in a perfect location for sightseeing, eating and shopping. banks nearby, good range of restaurants nearby. Staff helpful and friendly. Bar and Library tasteful, comfortable and relaxing. Buffet breakfast outstanding, food constantly replenished, coffee appears like magic, dirty crockery likewise. Rooms spacious and very well appointed. Rooms would benefit from provision of hair dryer and trouser press.
We've spent 12 days in Europe, starting in Prague and ending in Vienna. The Ventana was the best hotel we stayed at, even better than a Relais & Chateau hotel we stayed in. And it was reasonably priced for this quality. Highly recommended.
POlite staff. Tasteful decor. Good breakfast.
The service was very god, and i was very quiet in the evening. It was in the absolut towncenter. The breakfast was very good.
Comfortable,good location and Luxury hotel!
Superb location right in the center. We were so lucky to be upgraded to a two floor spacious room that was really great. Breakfast with champagne and good variety. Friendly staff.
sillence and later chek out
The location is very good. Rate locale as a 9 out of 10. Overall, this property is a 3 star at best, but with a great location. No access to coffee in the morning until after 7:00 am. $15 surcharge for room service which was very limited. Breakfast only.
Location, room/view and comfort
Good location Large rooms, friendly and helpful staff could have have larger breakfast selection, eg omlettes/sausages/eggs
Absolutely top class location next to the Old Town Square and all the attractions. Really spacious modern style suite with mezzanine floor and a big arched window looking onto the square, room 45. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Will definitely recommend the hotel to family and friends. Buffet style breakfast was very good, but could be improved with a better selection of cooked breakfast
I thought the hotel rooms where a little tired and could do with a bit of an update to the rooms
large and clean rooms, the location of the hotel, the concierge staff was verry helpful there werw not bathrobes, breakfast was poor, the reception staff was'n verry helpful, the conditioning air was too cold, no view from window, the windows could'n be opened
the location is very good, friendly staff parking is expensive
Location very central and easy commute to and from airport. Small bath
Situation was central to most tourist sights within walking distance Ouiet location but central. Decor good and a very comfortable bed at the end of a busy day excellent sevice staff very helpful in the hotel Would have liked tea facilities in room we had them in New York Marriot so missed them in the Prague hotel
The staff was freindly and efficient.
everything expected from a 5* city hotel the water pressure in the shower was usually very low. also the water temp.fluctuated(maybe if somebody else also opened the taps in the same line...). this happened on both visits. may 18-19 and may 21-22, 2010.
The service in the bar was very good, hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location, 2 minute walk to metro stop and 10 minute walk to Old town Square. After staying at other 5* hotels around Europe, I was a bit disappointed by the rating of this hotel. At best it should be 4*. The rooms were just 'ok'. the breakfast was good, but expensive.
excalent service, staff were very freindly and helpful
It was what I expected from a Marriott. Good room size, facilities and good breakfast. The Marriott Prague specifically > no morning gown, no morning slippers, not much on amenities compared to other Marriott hotels in Europe.
Well decorated, very clean. The rooms are pretty spacious with comfortable beds, the bathroom also spacious with super large mirror. Overall, the equipment in the room was in great shape, nothing broken or overused. Very quiet rooms, we did not hear neither the street nor any other rooms, but our room was in the corner and the windows were pointing some back yard, so maybe not rooms will be alike. The bathroom had very poor air ventilation. There's no view whatsoever from any hotel rooms, the building is surrounded by another large hotel and another large building. The WiFi is super pricey, and I cannot understand why, though they do have an Ethernet connection available in the rooms, not only WiFi.
the location of the hotel was excellent the staff were very helpfull and friendley and the room was very clean and comfortable with clean towels every day we would not hesitate to book this hotel for any future visits to prague.
Very Pleasent. We shall be returning
Friendly professional knowledgeable staff and the location was excellent The decor in the room we had was just a little tired - but the room itself was huge, it was comfortable and warm but just a little noisy at night.
location rude front desk, hard to find.
Excellent location overlooking fairytale castle (sorry Tyn church), a couple of minutes walk from Old Twn square. Spacious, comfortable bedroom decorated in traditional style. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Helpful staff. Would definately recommend. Very good value.
The location was excellent, the restaurant was supurb and beautiful with loads of atmosphere. The staff was very helpful in our hotel stay and visiting praha. Bravo. Initially we were given a attic room that was small, airless and almost windowless. We requested a change and was given a tour and a choice of 3 rooms, we found the perfect one for us.
Perfekt location, The breakfast was not good.
The location was ideal and the rooms were beautiful and spacious and the staff were very helpful.
We loved this hotel! It is in an ideal location, right in the heart of the Old Town but away from the main busy parts. We stayed in one of the attic rooms which was large, warm and had beautiful views of the Tyn Church. We could easily walk to all the main sights and there are countless good bars and restaurants nearby - so many we were spoilt for choice! This is definately where we'll stay if we visit Prague again. Although the window was double glazed, there was quite a bit of noise. The area is fairly quiet so no rowdiness - just noise from dustbin men etc!
Lovley large Suite,2 Large beds,2 Setties, 2 Chandliers! always very warm, light and bright, Bathroom massive.Breakfast substantial Just off Old Town Square and Powder Tower and just up the lane to supermarkets. The woman in Reception could have smiled once would have been nice always in a mood! Breakfast in restraunt Verbena opersite reception 2 floors down in basment no lift ok if you are fit!!. Room overlooked church very nice but also overlooked club on corner of lane closed about 3.30 in early hours then people outside till 4.00 o'clock every single day plus last day glass shop under room locked up and left loud beat music on all night!!!
a very comfortable and enjoying stay with very nice staff.
The location was excellent. I didn't like the breakfast. I would prefer to be served with hot coffee or tea rather than having a pot on the table that is not fresh or hot. The breakfast was not too good - fruit salad was soggy - bacon also - certainly not too a british palate. The bar is small and needs to be refurbished as does the whole of the hotel. Hotel is very small in the reception area with nowhere to relax except the bar.
The hotel is very centrally located, and we were able to walk everywhere. Breakfast was excellent, and room was very comfortable.
The spot of the hotel. It is located very close to the historical center and also to the metro station. I would like a slightly bigger room.
it is close to old town square just 2 minitues walking. The hotel staff are not welcoming the gustes and not giving enough support and help.
Location was excellent - easy walk from the central rail station and on the edge of the old town. Relaxed hotel and very quiet. Breakfast good. Staff were very helpful and had good English. Decor is rather dated and has a slightly musty feel to it.
Smile of the front staff was nice. Aircondition in the room is not work properly.
I liked the atmosphere at the hotel, very friendly people at reception. I also very liked the restaurant where every morning we had breakfast. It was continental breakfast, good and different choice! and strudel was veery tasty!I also liked the location 'cause it takes only 2-5 min to get to the metro station Namesti Republiky, and in about 10 min from the main square with beautiful church with Adam and Eva towers and the tower with the famous clock!!! i also liked how room cleaning service worked. Once we were tired after night party and slept at hotel until about 3 p.m., so we missed room cleaning hours. But when we opened the door of our room to go out for a walk we found a package full of fresh towels, it was kind and pleasant!!!))) I liked most everything at the hotel, just noticed some stains on the chairs and table lamp...but the rest was really perfect!
Location is excellent, very centrally located. Close to a shopping mall (Palladium), a grocery store (Billa) & a convenience store is just across from the hotel. Breakfast buffet is not bad for a day or two days stay but for 4 days stay, a variety in menu is better. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. We were told we were given rooms in a nice location. I guessed what the staff meant was rooms in a quiet location. We wanted rooms with view but got none. Also, we had to go through small stairs (5-6 steps) to reach our rooms. It's a hassle with luggage & quite tiring to have to go through it everyday after long day of walking exploring the city.
rooms on the courtyard are very quiet they could do with more space in the breakfast room. sometimes you can't find anywhere to sit.
the position of the hotel was just as required the tea and coffee facilities could be improved since the cups were not cleaned proprerly and we had to ask for replenishments of both tea and milk, carpet not hoovered..
The fact that it was very well plced for walking, trams and underground
The decor, ambience & the very relaxed atmosphere. We also thought the breakfast room was excellent Would have liked two chairs.at least one an arm chair in the room, rather than one, seems petty but it meant if we wanted to relax either my wife or myself had to sit on the bed.
central location perfect for sightseeing, helpful staffs (asked for local restaurants/bars, which were all great), and nice lovely breakfast the hallway was a bit messy, smelling a bit like a smoking floor when we had asked for non-smoking room.
I regard this hotel for me as perfect.Nothing more to say. No
Centrally situated. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. My room was very good - everything I needed. Bar area - Not very welcoming!
A beautifully renovated Art Deco hotel. A convenient location for the sights of the old city. Good breakfasts. The building next door was being renovated which meant that we were woken up at 7.30 for 2 mornings until we were moved to a quieter room We did not feel that the receptionist who dealt with our original complaint was very sympathetic although the next complaint was handled efficiently.
comfortable the bathroom too narrow
Good location, good reception, very nice hotel.
Location. Close to Old Town Square
This hotel is perfectly located in the city only a short walk to the Charles Bridge , old town square and many many restaurants . The staff was professional and spoke english. Breakfast was a buffet that was well presented and had several choices for everyone. I am overall very happy with K&K Central and would stay again.
Clean modern design, quiet air conditioned rooms, central location, considerate front desk staff, free wi-fi internet connection. 1. The hotel restaurant is insanely terrible, waiters are slow, do not know their short menu, the food is bad and expensive. 2. The hotel always charges you in Czech Crowns at an inflated exchange rate (it was 2% higher than the actual rate). 3. The bedding only includes a duvet, which is entirely synthetic and is very hot for the summer. I would appreciate having a flat sheet. 4. Breakfast selection was worse than at other comparable hotels in Prague.
Room upgraded - and it was phenomenal
lovely hotel in a fantastic location central to everything. the rooms are very comfortable and plush. food lovely especialy breakfast
Excellent location just off Old Town Square. Beautifully renovated hotel. Bedroom was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Large choice at buffet breakfast. The air conditioning in the bedroom was not very efficient.
This hotel has an excellent location near the powder tower. Room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was superb.
Clean, roomy, near Old Town Square, walking distance to all sights and the train station, great breakfast, friendly staff.
Excellent location within walking distance to all attractions and restaurants. We were happy to find out that there is a chinese restaurant and a mini mart just next to the hotel. There is another huge supermarket nearby too. Shopping malls are also around the corner. please do not exchange Czeh currency at the airport (bad rates and they charge commission) , do it in town where you can find lots of money changer who can give you better rates. There is a small step just in front of the hotel entrance that can be missed. There is no warning sign or rug to indicate that and can post a danger. Beware of this.! My husband tripped on that and hurt his ankle.
The hotel location
Location was excellent - although very close to places of interest, restaurants, bars and shops it was situated in a quiet area. Breakfast had a wide selection of both hot and cold food.
very far from the center
Helpful and pleasant staff and good location for city visit to Prague. 1) The spa and facilities was out of order and we were not informed about this in advance. We were only told about this on arrival at the hotel. 2) The carpets in our room no. 334 were heavily stained and looked dirty.
excellent pool and sauna rate for breakfast was steep in terms of price but there was an excellent cafe about 5 mins walk from there which was nice to sit outside
Building interiors are stylish, give a very pleasant feel, the breakfast was excellent, cigar bar is small but cosy. The gym is rather poorly equipped, and the cheaper rooms in the modern annex to the buildings are to small.
the rooms were very comfortable a bit out of the centrebut it was convenient for the opera and tram routes
Good staff. Bad furniture and very dirty. Bad Furniture. Bad food. No spa. Dirty towels. Dirty carpets.
The hotel and spa were beautiful and the most perfect place to celebrate an anniversary. The rooms were tidied multiple times per day and the service was impeccable. Nothing
The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The facilities were excellent and the breakfast amazing! The hotel advertised its spa and pool facilities, however they were both out of service until further notice. Felt ripped off as we booked into the hotel on the basis that they have spa and pool facilities. We did not receive a discount for the inconvenience. There was also no hot water on the day of our arrival which is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel.
room comfort and design, breakfasts, hotel building and the spa +swimming pool insufficient room heating
good level of service and facilities the hotel bar prices are a too much
location, public spaces, service the room was a little on the small size
