the location is exellent very different from last years both for the level af rooms and for the services
The best of staying at the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg was the location, courteous service, the size and the quietness of the room. Although it was very charming, our two floor suite, it was difficult for us to tote our luggage and packages on the semi spiral staircase. The neighborhood was not very convenient in terms of neighborhood bakery, restaurants, pharmacies, or convenience stores. The hotel computer room was a sauna closet and with the prices we paid, free internet should be available hotel-wide.
position room is small
location is perfect... rooms are very comfortable...
The bed was absolutely amazing - lovely soft duvet and pillows Over priced bar in room. Internet 10 euros for 30 minutes
service is good and the bathrrom is good.
location the classic room.
What I like best about the hotel is its location. It is situated in the middle of a great shopping area and is very convenient.
Nice room, comfy lobby, good location in tourist district. Very easy to access museums and beautiful old town Paris. Spa very small, concierge gave lousy restaurant recommendation (tourist trap). Great place to stay, wander outside district for food and more authentic Paris experience.
Location reddiculous price of their continental breakfast of 30 Euro
The room was quite small but fine for me. I cant really imagine sharing it with anyone - I had filled the small closet and two shelves for clothing. The people at the hotel were nice. The toilet was a separate room and was very small. Too small for my liking.
location decor friendly It had plumbing issues. i.e.. oder . Cleaning staff was noisy in the mornings. Staff needs training. This is not a five star Hotel.
The staff is amazing. Room always clean. Great location
The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room was pleasant with a fine view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. The restaurant menu was very expensive but this is to be expected in the middle of Paris. We didn't eat in!
The location is absolutely superb. Towards the end of our stay the service deteriorated, e.g. room was only serviced late in the afternoon on 2 days
the location and the design of the hall the rooms are quite small and the rooms on the court which are very calm have the view on a part which has to be still restored
Atention of the staff is excellent. The hotel shows pictures on the Internet rooms that have been renovated and hence modern and luxurious; however, the room we stayed has not been renovated at all and furniture, carpet and design were old.
the staff, the room, the ease of the staff and the location
The hotel is located in the most central part of Paris, walking distance to all major touris attractions. The staff is very polite and welcoming very helpful as well. The room and common area design to perfection. The food in the Resturant is to die for. Very nice hotel worth every penny. You can't get food after 12pm even though the menu says 24/7
soft matresses missed more equipment in bathroom
Great location, personal service Small room
breakfast was great we missed our flight because the front desk/concierge team could not arrange the taxi to arrive on time (even though we were assured the night before that we would have plenty of time and that their taxi partners always came early or on time, never late).
Location, close to most of the tourist destination on walking distance... Overpriced for the services they offered..
View of Tuileries and Eiffel Tower was marvelous. Staff were delightful. It's a little tired. Rooms with view of courtyard are dark. Food service is lackluster and expensive. Breakfast was cold and slow. Decor is very worn. Salon is trying so hard but misses chic by a mile. Staff are charming.
Truly excellent hotel. Currently probably the best in Paris
Everything was great. It's a beautiful hotel with a lovely decoration. Very clean, the staff is helpfull and sympathetic. Excellent location, just behind the rue St. Honore. We were really impressed and will recommend it to our friends.
The location is perfect as it is in the city center. Spa and indoor swimming pool as well as professional massage. Car parking services was great as it is almost impossible to park anywhere in Paris. The bed mattress was not comfortable as compared to other five stars hotels.
We had a beautiful modern bath and a spacious room that comfortably accomodated my mother, daughter and myself. The front desk staff was helpful in providing directions and making reservations. We never had to wait in line at the desk. The location was superb. We had a wonderful experience here. The lounge area is a bit dark and cramped so this is a hotel that is best suited for exploring the city and returning to a comfortable room for relaxing and a great night's sleep.
The staff was incredibly helpful. Not only were they multilingual but they went out of their way to accommodate for our needs pointing out good restaurants and good places to tour. Given the American standards for comfort about bathroom necessities, the shower was a bit awkward and we found it took much longer to shower when compared to the typical American standards. Ultimately, the issue did not proove to be a burnden to our trip.
Friendly staff, and very good size of room. Most facilities available. Breakfast only dining room.
Hotel was very well located, minutes walk from sights and attractions. Our room was luxuriously presented, designer style in black, grey with cherry red accent colours. Bathroom included large bath and separate shower. The ambience in reception is very welcoming, candles lit and very fragrant with attentive staff. There is a spa at the Hotel which my husband enjoyed. Our room was located at the front of the building and we were disturbed by delivery vans, refuse vans in the early hours of every morning. We would stay at the Hotel again but request a quietly located room at the back of the building.
Convenience & closeness to hub of city sights & metro network. Price a little too steep
My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during November. We found the hotel to be fantastic. The design and layout perfect. Location couldnt be better if you want to wish to shop around in the big department store Galerie. The best part of the hotel was the wonderful staff. I found all of them to be superb and their english fault less!. We even forgot a mobile in the room and when we phoned the hotel to check if it was there they offered to bring it to us! This was fanstastic as we were waiting at the bus stop for the airport bus. Thats service!!!
Hotel Burgundy is very well situated in the Opera district, and was a great "home base" for seeing the sights of Paris. The hotel is quite small, but clean and good value for money.
The hotel is superbly located, very comfortable, with wery friendly and helpful staff
the location was great and the small hotel was very private.
Attention to details was good. Advised prior to arrival it was our 20 th wedding anniversary and they had a bottle of wine waiting for us. Very professional staff. My wife liked the chocolate on our bed every night after turndown service. ice machine, coffee/tea facility within the room would be nice . Excer
Convenient location, a comfortable room suite, a good restaurant with Michelline star, mostly friendly staff, The attitude of some people from the staff
I liked the staff very much. The food was good and delivered on time. The room was imaginatively designed. My only disappointment was that I was on the top floor and instead of a window lookin onto the Place Vendome, there was a large mirror. Thus the room was dark at all times.
Well situated near place Vendome, very helpful staff. Everything was excelent.
water would change temputer during taking a shower
The room was well laid out and the staff was very curteous. The hotel was in an excellent location. I could not get the free wifi to work on my computer and the hotel staff had no soluition. The lighting system was hard to figure out.
The staff were outstanding and most polite and helpful.
It was totally luxurious in an unpretentious way, rooms absolutely beautiful, ornate lift, relaxing calm restaurant. Perfect in every way.
very freindly, warm well coming
Nothing at all. No room service. No housekeeping. No in-room safe. The smallest and least equipped room and bathroom ever. Hotel website is missleading. Go somewhere else.
Only the bed and location Not clean!! Not at all!!, small!!! Very small!!! Towels are not in the standard... Towels unclean!! Old!
Location The bed & pillows were uncomfortable
The location was great, close to a metro stop. The breakfast was good. The hotel was clean. The miniature size of the room. I still really believe we were given a single room eventhough we booked and payed for a double room. Everything was for one person (pillows, one blanket, one glass, etc.) No room to put our luggage. A really, really tiny room.
cleanliness of your room size of the room is small
every think no think
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I picked the hotel because of its location ie close to some of the attractions that I wanted to see. The female receptions could not have been more helpful. I thought the male receptionist's attitude was arrogrant. When he was asked a question his tone was rude and he dismissed you as though you were wasting his time!
Excellent location, just next to Louvre / place de la Concorde. Nice rooms (a bit small). Parking is a bit difficult at the hotel, because they are working with a nearby parking place. Parking puts your car in place, but what happens to your car is unknown.
Arrived at the Hotel at midnight. The elevator was not working and I had to carry cases up three floors. The window was open in the room and the ceiling was covered with insects. After much persuasion the night porter agreed to change room (now on 6th floor!!) but said I would have to pay more! It transpired in the morning that the 2nd room was the superior standard I had originally booked. I don't think the rooms were very clean. The breakfast was very poor. This is definitely not a 4 Star hotel!!!
should be a 2 star hotel; big advantage is its location
The staff in the afternoon that greeted me. The morning staff the next day was not helpful. The heater in the room didn't work so it was cold. There were no business resources like internet access. And it was ridiculously expensive for the low grade room I stayed in.
The location could not be better, tops! For me it was absolutely fine for one night. The staff in the reception was very service minded and friendly indeed. Unfortunately, we got a room facing the street and the traffic was quite disturbing. I guess the other rooms facing the courtyard are more quiet.
Hotel staff was very helpful and understanding. In fact, when we needed to extend our stay, they accomodated us readily and when it seemed like there was going to be no room for us, they assisted us in looking for a nearby hotel. Fortunately, a hotel guest cancelled in the last minute and we remained in the hotel for the remainder of our stay in Paris. The unchanging breakfast menu. How I wish some variation could be made at least every 3 days. The breakfast however, in itself, was good and nutritious.
The location was excellent. It was very close to the main sights of the area. the hotel had internet access which usually required only a short wait to use. The elevator is truly a curiousity, has to be seen to be believed. The room was made up promptly and we were never bothered by noise or other disturbances. The concierge seemed quite genial and could speak English quite well. We found it difficult to use the security box, the information was not fully translated into English. When we spoke to the concierge he said that we could get help with this later. However help wasn't forthcoming (we didn't ask again but should we have to?) so we ended up carrying our valuables around for the three days. Also even though my partner could speak French we were unable to get a glass of water at breakfast one morning. We were met by a confused glance and nothing more.
Great location.. good breakfast, clean and warm and friendly.
Breakfast was better than expected
The location was excellent, for all the sights of Paris and just minutes from the Louvre and Place de Concorde. The Hotel was lovely and clean and breakfast was very good. Staff friendly. Couldn't wish for a better place to stay - if opportunity arose would certainly go back.
Comfortable room. Excellent location.
Location We made a rather large booking of 13 rooms and even wanted to pre-pay for them all, but the staff that I dealt with were really unhelpful, uncommunicative and even arrogant!
Perfect location, very good concierge, big room the deluxe double. It still needs renovation
location in Paris- stayed there a year and a half ago and liked it a large business and tour oriented hotel. Lobby was a mess with business people- breakfast room redone dark, dreary and medicore service compared to last year. Room given on inner court was dark and dreary. Could hardly see to read. no turndown service at night. I will never stay there again
the location of the hotel is the best a lot of things, servic was very bad, not clean rooms,
The main reason for my visit was the shopping and the hotel was very central to all the designer shops.
The Location could not be beat. The room and the view were impeccable. The staff were excellent and the restaurant was on par with any top French restaurant. At the price paid, complementary internet access would have been a nice touch. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
the staff was excellent. very helpful all spoke english. very fast service on any request
The location of this hotel in Paris is excellent. Our room was laughably small. The staff was disorganized and, with the notable exception of one assistant manager, unhelpful. The prices in hotel facilities are very high (e.g. a small beer and a non-alcoholic drink in the courtyard cafe came to more than 40 euros). We found broken glass shards in our bathroom on the second day (that's where the assistant manager intervened to promptly address the matter). There was noise from loose children running and playing in the hotel hallway (annoying though not strictly speaking the hotel's fault). In general, not at all the experience we expected at a premium price luxury hotel.
The only positive aspect of this hotel is it's location. Other than that it is not worth staying in. Extremely expensive for no reason. The rooms, even the suites, are not renovated, there is a distinct smell of humidity and the stuff is snob.
The hotel didn't have a bottle warmer for baybes and they couldn't prepare food for baybes.
I love the ambience of the hotel - so charming and small. It is run by a Spanish chain and they are very good but we would like to see a little more French influence.
Grat Location and Superior double room was very comfortable
Close to Tuileries Garden and Madeline, the hotel has an excellent location. The building and furniture was new. The loby, room and bathroom were above standarts of many Paris hotels. The price was worth of it. Although we had a 'do not disturb' notice at the door the room was cleaned.
Location, staff. Bathroom (WC)extremely small, couldnt go in it. Bathroom dress (robe de bain) wasnt changed during the stay.
The location was brilliant near the Place de la Concorde and Lourve
Conveniently located to shopping and the Louvre. An easy cab ride to the Eiffel tower. Also close to the train station. Very eloquent decor. Staff very personable and friendly. Staff was very helpful during a misfortune with my train trip to the airport They worked with my friends and the airlines to help me out during this situation. No.
Best location The cleanning service was not too clean, surprisingly for 4 star hotel. The carpet is in bad condition. The room was little bit dark.
Pretty hotel, great location there were major building works all down the road (not minor or very temporary). Noise started at 6.30 am each day. Air conditioning did not really work, room hot and unable to control temperature
Location, and general amenities and near metro. Room was nice and quiet. Choice of TV channels was hopeless. Only CNN in English, and there were at least 5 German speaking channels, WHY?
Nothing This was the worst expiriance ever they are liers and cheats, this hotel should be closed down, discusting place, my dog lives in better conditions them what thus hotel represents. I hope people will read this and never stay in this low class hotel should be rated as 1 star! We got one of the best room in the hotel and paid almost 400 euros for one night! Totally we were cheated!!!!
The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful
nice atmosphere by all staff
Large room, comfortable WiFi poor
its central location also the staff were very good
Location.Friendliness of staff who could not have been more helpful No gym
The kind, courteous and responsible staff. Issues loging onto computer one night only.
We moved to Hotel Mayfair to escape an abysmal accommodation reviewed elsewhere. We were courteously and graciously received, conducted to our room by a most helpful bellman and made comfortable. Our room was spacious but not gaudy, clean and comfortable. We were undisturbed but helped in very way. The staff knew us within minutes of our arrival and greeted us as we came and went. When I needed to complete and item of business they solved my problem for me effortlessly. I was impressed and will return when I next am in Paris (which I hope is very soon). The city is beautiful but I was reading the visit after seeing the first hotel we tried. These folks vindicated their city. The location is magnificent for numerous sites including the Louvre, Place de la Concorde and everything within reach from there. I recommend this hotel without reservation. From an American travelers point of view, European hotels do three things that are unfamiliar to us. First, they never provide a washcloth except upon request. We did not request one here so I don't know if one would have been forthcoming. Second, their heating systems are too efficient, making rooms too warm at night for our habit. I have never been able to solve this issue and accept it as part of the cost of traveling in Europe. Third, the bed cover always is a duvet or comforter, in American usage. Combined with the too warm room, the duvet is too much cover. We usually request a top sheet be provided. For some reason we did not do that in this case but I am sure one would have been provided had we requested it. All these things reflect European custom and cannot be taken as deficiencies, just as statements of expectation. Also, do not expect a shower curtain; expect a tub with a hand held shower to use in rinsing or in showering if that is your preference.
Location. Breakfast was not included even though adversized as inclusion; no free bottle of wine as advertised. Gym was tiny at best. Business center is a table and computer in the breakfast area vice a seprate room.
The location is fantastic Room was fairly basic for the price and was very hot despite it being the middle of winter. We had to sleep with both windows open, which then subjected us to the noise of wind and rain.
charming small hotel with perfect location in the city center but on a quiet street. Nice breakfast. The room lock system is obsolete - only one key for all of you
Bath room was clean. The location was good. Considering the location and level of price from other hotels, the cost may be acceptable, but a bit expensive.
Location good. Service and facilities inadequate for a 4 star. Service indifferent. Could not borrow an iron, had to send clothes in for pressing which wasn't returned timeously. Breakfast selection poor. Carpets not vacuumed. Marks on walls and chipped furniture. Lobby very dark. No full length mirror in my particular room. No door on cupboard. Stayed on 2nd floor.
location rooms to small and for a longer stay very little space for clothes
The location was great and the staff were helpful. The hotel was dimly lit, but this did not quite hide the wear and tear. Only one lift was working and you need to take your own torch to see which buttons to press. They claim "It offers luxury, air-conditioned rooms and suites with satellite TV and views of Paris". Well the TV worked but the air conditioner didn't and the view from my window was of hotel walls across the courtyard and the two single beds pushed together when there should have been a double bed don't count as luxury in my view.
On reseption the awful personnel, spiteful, malicious inattentive people work in this hotel. Has asked to call a taxi, have categorically refused to help me. I do not recommend anybody this hotel
Hotel location is wonderful! Rooms/bathrooms excellent. Staff extremely nice, helpful, etc. Would recommend hotel to anyone.
Excellent location. High Quality area really close to Place de Concorde and the Champs Elysees. Not the best breakfast.
The location of the hotel.
every thing 0n the first night i got a room without doors to the bath &toilet
they suggest me a room where button of toilet didn't worked, shower cabin have been broken and hair drier doesn't work.it was terrible
great location, rooms clean, nice bathroom and very good value for money for a paris hotel. i could hear the rooms next door coming and going, nothing too bad just unusual for hotel this nice.
