Good value for the dollar. Reasonably clean and friendly.
The room was clean & room service was kind and professional. The "free breakfast" they advertise was just cereal, some hard bagels, white bread and stale mini muffins. NOT happy about that. They don't stock up the rooms with enough towels in the bathrooms.
There was nothing I liked besides the housekeeper The front manager was not only unhelpful but rude there was no late checkout I had to pay for my remote control and my tv still did not work for the first night and I was still charged after requesting that I be credited because I was unable to use the remote. They finally with a great deal of noise on their part came to my room and fixed the tv. The atmosphere outside scared me I felt like I was unsafe and my belongings in my car and my car itself was unsafe after the first night I just wanted to leave but couldn't get my money back and couldn't afford to go elsewhere. This place in general was dirty, and scary and the employees that run the front end are rude and can barely speak English. I trusted kyack to not have crack hotels on its lists and I was sorely mistaken. I will not make that mistake again!
Great service, friendly, clean room, very spacious, near a bunch of restaurants, gas stations, and freeway. I don't like that they charge your card first when you make the reservation.
Kitchenette They were as rude and unfriendly and down right cold hearted as it comes.to start it off my mom used her credit card to book room and I gave her cash .the occupants were to be my wife me and 6 year old son.three days into our stay while I was a work my wife and son demagnitized there room key while swimming.manager would not rekey her card and made our small child freeze for four hours while my mom finally got there to get key. Then on check out day I was at work and they denied her a late check out and made them sit outside with all our belongings in the cold I arrived at 1145 to get them and they didn't even need the room it was still uncleaned
We saw bad and good reviews, so we were not sure about the place, it said it was remodel and we gave it a shot. And we had a good experience. Rooms look pretty clean and for a good price. The neighborhood is not the best, but we had no problem with anybody inside or outside the motel.
Nothing We had a late check in due to traveling there. I called the day of arrival to notify them that we would not be arriving until late evening. It was noted with the staff over the phone. When we arrived after a very long 6 hour drive there. We were notified that our room was given away and we would have to go to another hotel. Very inconvinient when traveling with a family of 5 and 3 small children. A very disappointed mom !
Great staff. They were kind to change our room to a larger room last minute without extra fees. The room with the bunk beds are extremely convenient. Great for kids, and the bunk beds are in a separate room with bathroom, little chairs and mickey comforters as if it was a children's bedroom. Great attention to detail, loved the disney characters stickers on the walls. Breakfast included. Very complete breakfast includes cereal, oatmeal, and delicious waffles you make yourself. Staff at the kitchen was also really nice. They have a laundy room too, and it's really cheap to use. Very convenient distance from Disneyland. We ended up staying a couple more nights than planned. We we're not expecting this great quality for the price. My congratulations to all the staff. Only downside is that you can hear what's going on in the room above you, but our neighbors weren't very noisy.
The only thing that I liked was that it was close to Disneyland. It was not what we expected. It felt more like a Motel 6 than a Inn and Suites. The rating was a three star hotel and this to me was not. Very dissatisfied.
Very clean rooms, nice details like the ones you find in luxury hotels, like towels folded in nice shapes We had a problem with housekeeping because the lady decided to throw away food from the fridge ( that we bought to bring back home) and also my husband's nice razor. But front desk was great! They not just apologized, they followed up next day with management. Sales manager then decided to refund one night Amazing response from management... Congratulations for a Hotel well run! This things make a difference!! Would definitely stay here again! Breakfast
I really liked the friendliness of the staff, Nest and Carla they were awesome, the price of the room was good and location, I likedon't the fact the shuttle stop to Disney is right in front of the lobby also they offer free parking for guest not a lot of hotels around there do that. The beds were a little uncomfortable but not unbearable
Horrible attitude from front desk, would never stay there
Cleanliness Great staff
We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendly staff. The breakfast accommodations were more than I expected as well. Very suitable for a family preparing for their day at Disneyland. Nothing
Good variety of breakfast choices. Staff was very friendly and quickly took care of returning an important item I left behind. Climbing stairs with suitcases. Elevator would have been nice, even though it was only a one floor climb. At 66 I am not that sure of myself on stairs.
Liked the cleanliness. Also loved the mickey decals in the room. I wish breakfast had some eggs or sausage/protein of some kind.
Good coffee, about 15-20 min walk to Disney, close to stores, plenty of parking. The rooms were not that clean, they do not dust and it is not horrible, but not clean.
Calm, clean , wifi internet is available, excellent location, 10 min walking to Diseny land and few steps to garden walk mall. Staff is friendly. There is no body can help to carry the baggages.
It was within easy walking distance to Disneyland and very close to restaurants, shopping and bus services. Swimming pool was an added bonus! The breakfast consisting of Danish Pastries.
I appreciated that the manager stayedup til 2.00am waiting for us to arrive. Hottub was nice. Appreciated more towels being in the room as there was 4 of us ie I didn't have to ask for more. Loved the landscaping. Could do with a few more pictures in the room, it was a little bare. Cleaning was lacking ie vaccuuming, found empty water bottle by the bed (it wasn't ours), although bathroom was good.
Yes the heater did not work instead it was shutting cold air the whole time so we were very cold.
Convenient that it had a microwave and fridge. Location was about 15 minute walking distance from Disneyland. No frills kind of place, great for being on a super tight budget. Liked that they cleaned our room everyday. Breakfast= OJ, coffee, and pastry. Walls are thin, decor was old, shower was dirty and did not drain. Can't really complain, as the cost is reflective to what you get.
it was really lose to the disney land theme park
Office staff/owners were courteous and helpful. Location was great for Disneyland visit. Continental Breakfast
location and value for money
Great hotel close to Disneyland. An 11 minute walk gets you to the gates. The rooms were clean and equipped with regular hotel amenities. Internet was fast and reliable.
Location We had no hot water and we had ants and other bugs in the room and it's was very loud
The price and the amenities were quite satisfactory. It's not the ritz, but it was quite appropriate for what we needed. Sometimes heard a toilet flush next door, but nothing that bothered us at all. There were a couple hairs on the floor near the bathroom - not particularly appealing, however for the price it didn't bother us too much.
Close proximity to Disneyland, and very helpful staff. Rooms were clean and well cared for. Beds were hard and uncomfortable.
Location & onsite store Nothing
When I requested a working fridge it was promptly brought The maintenance guy didn't know if the fridge would work, it stank inside and out. The sheets were dirty. There wasn't good air circulation and the bathroom smelled like mold.
Easy check in and check out. Walls so thin you can hear everything. We were on the first floor with a family above us. They kids were constantly jumping around and pounding on the floor. This lasted all night and early morning. We had to call the front desk twice and still didn't resolve the problem. They should really consider the way they place people in the rooms. Someone with little ones should probably be on the first floor so there aren't any disturbances. This was our first stay here and will definitely be our last. We were very unhappy with this stay.
We will definitely choose Castle Inn again
Pros = the location, mini-fridge, microwave, price, size of TV, the room was generally clean We had spiders and a few coach roaches.
Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Within walking distance of Disneyland. Free parking on site. Mini fridge didn't keep contents very cold. Only ice machine I saw was on the ground floor near the elevator, and our room was located on the top floor.
the text from the staff about the room was great..check in was super fast and easy, and the room was really nice which was a surprise for one of these cheaper hotels the pool is not great
large comfortable room, excellent location to disneyland
The hotel was very clean and the staff was kind and helpful , a little far from Disneyland after a long day of walking otherwise a very nice stay
Great location and close to Disney. Very friendly staff. Very clean. Beds were very hard and noisy. Every move woke me up due to noise.
Amazing staff. Couldn't be nicer and more accommodating. Located right next to Disney Land. 10 minute walk to front gates. All the rooms have just been remodeled when I was there. Pillows were to thin for my taste.
I loves the remodle and appreciated the wood flooring instead of dirty carpet :). The bathroom was also nicely done. Everything was great aside from the beds. They were some of the firmest mattresses I have ever slept on which was a bit uncomfortable.
The staff was very friendly.
They remodeled all the rooms and they look amazing! Really nice place to stay and the manager was great. Really great for the price! Beds were a little stiff, not bad though. We could also hear the people next to us being very loud.
The staff was very helpful. They were available whenever we had questions. We were able to purchase the ART shuttle passes at the front desk. The shuttle picks up right in front of the property. They offer free wi-fi and free parking (depending on availability). The bed was huge - big enough for 2 adults and a small child. The bathroom was spotless. The refrigerator was a great bonus. Tons of channel options on the TV. Perfect for our trip to Disney and for the price, we were highly satisfied. The smell in the lobby was very strong. They should really deodorize it.
Loved that it was located about 10-15 minute walk from Disneyland entrance. Lots of restaurants close. Starbucks is right next door. The Disneyland fireworks show is 100% viewable from the hotel. No need to stay at the park late to see it. I usually stay in higher priced hotels, so this was a 'stretch ' for me to book this place. I was skeptic. However, I was pleased with the room. It's not fancy and it's an old hotel, but they've done an adequate remodel job to make it comfortable and appealing to the eye. Again....it's not fancy & it's old, but we were there for Disney and hardly spent any time in the room. If we had planned on being in the room more, I would have looked for a higher priced hotel with more amenities. This is a good value for the location and the age of the hotel. The staff were amazingly friendly and nice. I wish they had and iron and ironing board in the room. However, they did have a frig, microwave, hairdryer, and coffee maker. The towels are extremely cheap quality and feel a little like sand paper. Lol.
The rooms are large, the price was cheap, the proximity to Disney was great, and the shuttle that arrives every 20 minutes for Disney was even greater. The best part of this hotel was the staff - they told us about the shuttle and even let us keep our car parked in their lot the day we checked out so we didn't have to pay for Disney parking. Great view for the fireworks too! Totally worth it. All furniture is mediocre, bed is nothing special, pillows and sheets are cheap. Our hair dryer was broken, and one of our lights wouldn't work. Pool area is tiny. Breakfast is skippable.
convenient location to Disney and convention center. Cheapest motel in area. Stayed three nights and only had hot water once.
Close to Disney so was perfect. B
Proximity to Disneyland was a huge plus, the walk to Downtown Disney was only about 12 minutes or so, no crowded shuttle rides with screaming childten required The facilities are pretty bare and minimal, I would not suggest staying here with a large family and/or children
After reading reviews I was scared, but the room was clean and we had no issues. The front desk staff let me park there in the morning before checkin so we didn't have to park at Disneyland. 10 minute walk to the park entrance if you go through downs town Disney. Overall, great value!
Alamo is a great choice for Disneyland goers on a budget. The room was decent and the beds were pretty comfortable. Sheets were clean. I must say that the shower in our room was hard to use. Not sure if the controls were stripped or its just inferior engineering. It was hard to adjust to get hot water. To the point where I avoided using it. wi-fi didn't work.
Super close to Disneyland, pretty, and clean There was a little critter in the room that should not have been there, otherwise great place!
Close to Parks 5 minute walk. Beds were comfy and staff was professional and courteous. No complaints
There were clean towels and clean flooring instead of carpet. I loved that it was so close to Disneyland because we were tired after a long day of fun at the parks. The hot water ran out after the first person showered. The tissue box was empty and the tub was not functioning.
The room was good sized and clean. Good space around the sink. The staff was very helpful. Great location. Controlling the water temperature in the shower was a challenge. Need to get flat screen TVs Very small microwave
The room was spacious and clean for the price. We don't stay in the room very much so it works for my family. The comforters had a few stains but other than that it was good Look for weekdays that is the best time to get this hotel for the best price.
Rooms are clean, floors are hardwood-so no icky carpets to worry about. walking distance to Disneyland park There was no "do not disturb" sign in our room, so we asked for one..put in on the door the next day and housekeeping came in anyways while we were gone. Then our sign was gone again...
Location convenient to Disneyland The site was poorly maintained and very noisy. The beds were loud, creaky, and uncomfortable. The bathroom was in poor condition and the shower handles did not work. And there was no parking!
Staff Wasnt that clean there are hidden fees and there was only four channels that worked on the. Tv
Comfy bed. Near Disney. Good service Missing room 213. Kept hearing noises near my room.
Decent. We liked how it was walking distance from Disneyland. Friendly staff and good for the price. Plumbing wasn't good. Toilet kept making too much noise. Heard everything from outside. And room smelt a little.
The room was reasonably clean. Free breakfast was non existant (or very well hidden). I requested an extra bed when i booked but was advised they dont provide one on arrival so 1 of my party had to sleep on the floor. When i asked for the guest laundry i was directed to a laundromat 200 metres down the street in a very suspect area (i felt unsafe). When the toilet blocked and i asked for it to be fixed i was handed a plunger and told to fix it myself. never enough towels.
Comfortable, quiet and clean
Very friendly and efficient staff. Clean room. Great location near Disneyland. Fantastic value for money.
Good A/C No shower curtain, phone did not work and was never fixed during our stay, only amenities were hand soap and shampoo from a wall pump, towels are threadbare, floors are dirty, refrigerator barely cools. There is a $50 deposit taken from your credit card upon arrival and they say they refund it the day you check out but it takes a week, if ever.
At check in the young lady helping us was very nice and informative. The room was extremely clean. The proximity to disneyland was awesome. Over all wonderful experience.
The staff was helpful and prompt, the hotel was close to the freeway and within easy walking distance of Disneyland, the beds and bathroom were adequate, and I appreciated that there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room (although we didn't make use of them.) I felt like it was an excellent lodging value for the price we paid. We got a great rate, so we knew there would be some sacrifices in quality or convenience. There wasn't a coffee maker in the room and the bathroom supplies (soap, shampoo, etc.) seemed sparse and hard to use.
I liked how close it was to the Disneyland Resort. For the price and its location you cant get much better. No it is not the best motel in the area but if you are on a budget this is a great alternative than the other motel hotels around the park. So close you can walk, saving you the $12 for parking your car. There were few minor things wrong with the room but nothing major. The shower did not drain very well but did not affect the stay at all. you just get a footbath when you shower. However the room as well as bed were clean. to me that is all the matters. I Would stay here again. There were few minor things wrong with the room but nothing major. The shower did not drain very well but did not affect the stay at all. you just get a footbath when you shower.
It was only a 1/2 mile from Disneyland/CA Adventures. It served its purpose (a shower & beds to sleep in). Also, when we checked out we bought a shuttle pass from them & we asked if we could keep our car parked until we got back. They allowed us to do this. The room was very small, the tv only had 4 or 5 stations, the continental breakfast (horrible coffee) & stale danishes, the carpet had burn holes, either a sheet or blanket on the bed smelled musty.
Its very close to alot of things. No vending machines.
Staff exceptionally helpful. They even arranged for the passports we left there to be posted to Las Vegas to save us a hassle of driving back to collect them in person.
Location was decent, especially for the price. It was about a mile away from the park. Hotel was updated and clean, and the staff was helpful and very nice. However, the bed was so uncomfortable--practically rock solid. Only reason I wouldn't stay here again.
The room was impeccable, the smell of cleanliness filled out nostrils as we entered. The beds are incredibly comfortable. Thin walls, you can hear a too loud TV easily. No fan in bathroom.
The location is unbeatable!!! Just walk right across the street to enter the park. Clean, quiet, nice pool and hot-tub, great price, and free daily breakfast. Carpets did need to be cleaned. Feet and socks turned black from walking on carpet. Carpet was dark color, so looked ok, but kind of gross about our feet and socks.
Very quiet, very close to Disneyland
Short walk to Disneyland Park, front desk very helpful, convenient for food
Location and cleanless and overall design has an iverall good feeling Just better the complimentary breakfeast its really not that good just donuts and cofee or orange juice. And the hidden fees once you get there you would have thought hotel included free parking but charged 9 plus tax and checking in early additional days parking
Location - across street from Disneyland entrance, close to freeway and restaurants No free wifi
It was so close to Disneyland and we loved it. We did not like the smell of the room. It smelled old.
Location to Disneyland, Clean updated rooms. Clean towels everyday, You now have to pay for parking and it was not stated on line. You have to pay for some things at the contental breakfast. If paying ...not great choices either.
I liked that it was very close to downtown disney and the convention center. We didn't even need a car. We put our please service sign out at about 7:00am and came back at 2:00pm and the room still wasn't ready. They didn't stop by until about 3:30 which I think is a little too long. I wish you also had a vending machine for when the grocery store is closed. Coming from a different time zone it was hard to get a quick snack.
The proximity to Disneyland's maingate and the staff. The continental breakfast is a joke. Why not just stop offering breakfast? $1.00 for a bowl of cold cereal??
Highly recommended, just across Disney street. Large room with fridge, quiet, clean ... excellent The breakfast: have to pay for milk and cereal!
Close to disneyland Rooms are old and run down.
It was close to Disneyland Hard to get to get into the hotel
Location was a 10 minute walk from downtown Disney Room was big Large vanity Breakfast included Good wifi fridge and microwave in room hot tub laundry Beds were too firm- gave me a bad back ache paper-thin blankets (but got more upon request) toilet was clogged when we arrived exposed wires behind air grate IN the shower. No protein in the breakfast.
The distance to Disney land. Elevator was not working at the time of our stay. The staff did not mention it to us when I checked in.
clean room, spacious, and little fridge. great honestly, better than I expected. And 20 minute walk to disney parks!! clean room, clean bathroom! Free parking! breakfast could be updates. only bread and donuts and cereal and juice. not a very healthy breakfast
Great location close to Disney parks with an amazing view of the fireworks from Disneyland. Our room was super dirty.. The sheets on the bed had blood stains on them, which I didn't discover until the next morning.. The carpet was so filthy that it made the bottom of my husbands feet black. We had gnats coming out of our sink, also the tv made a high pitched buzzing sound whenever it was on.
Very clean, great price, friendly staff, and terrific view of Disney fireworks every evening. Very basic, no frills. Scratchy towels and limited breakfast (frozen waffles, cereal and donuts), but the price was great!
Staff was not friendly
We chose to stay here because it's a disneyland good neighbor hotel however it is not to those standards! The first room we were in the TV didn't work and the room was old and musty the second room the same musty room and the door didn't lock we felt uneasy being on the first floor and a non locking door. Dark rooms with grungy floors won't stay here again!
Honestly I had low expectations and was prepared for the worse. I was wrong and was very pleased. Beds were surprisingly comfy and the rooms were better than expected. I was very pleased with the staff who allowed us to park our car here early morning so we can walk over to Disneyland. Sadly there was no rooms available for early check in (we arrived around 7am) but that's understandable since check out for others isn't till 11am. I definitely would come back here for the price and location! Shower pressure was a bit weak but worked well enough to get myself cleaned.
Price, free wifi, breakfast.fu Filthy floors. My kids walked barefoot and they were left black!!!! Disgusting!
It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. My room was very clean. My cousin stayed on the bottom floor and she saw a cacarouch
I liked that it was cheap The beds were very stiff and the pillows were all flat and lumpy
Best place for Disney Land! Room recently updated! Easy walk! Stay Here! They let us check in early, leave our car there after our check out on last day so we didn't have to pay to park at Disney. THE BEST YOU COULD IMAGINE! Nothing. (seriously)
Not much. Out dated, under stafffed, amenities were lacking, not even a convientent ice machine. Only perk was it was fairly close to Disney. Old, out dated, poor communication with staff, not enough towels, continental breakfast was pathetic. Unidentified juice old ...tiny muffins, little Debbie pastries that looked old. Coffee was weak.
The staff is very friendly, and while not high tech or super fancy, they put pride and effort into their little motel 24 7
Close walking distance to Disneyland, rooms were clean and comfy, price was cheapest in area, will stay here again if price is right
Beds and linens were very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. They allowed us to park onsite all day before checking in. The hotel rooms are very dated, dingy and badly lit. Had to walk 2 motels down for a vending machine.
This hotel is really cheap considering how close it is to Disneyland. The staff is friendly. Checking in and out was simple and fast. For the price I payed I wasn't expecting much but at least they could clean the sheets. When I was ready to go to sleep after an exhausting day at the park I lifted up the sheets to see hairs all over the sheets so obviously they didn't clean or changed the sheets from the previous guests in that room. The room was very outdated but at least the bathroom and very spacious and clean. Their ice machine is literally on the sidewalk, not sure how safe it is to take ice from there considering anyone walking on the sidewalk can take ice or dump something in the there.
Best value and close to Disney land. It's. Not a 5 star hot but if all your going to do is sleep there it's great.
This place has california carpet beetles that got into our suitcases and now we are having to deal with them back at home in our houses.
I loved the close proximity to the Disneyland Resort. I also loved the friendly staff! It is a little bit of a shabby hotel. It is in need of some updating.
The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of Disneyland. It's also very close many dining options. The area felt safe and I was not concerned about sketchy people while walking around. Our room was supposedly a non-smoking room. Not sure if they put the sticker on right before we arrived, but the room wreaked of cigarette smoke and the bedding had multiple cigarette burns. The room even came with an ashtray. Additionally, this was the first hotel I have ever stayed in that didn't have an iron.
Distance from Disneyland; modern decor in rooms; free coffee
The hotel smelled like urine. our bathroom sink was clogged and the fan in the bathroom didn't work. Our door keys quit working every night. The bed was unconfortable
Friendly staff So limited facilities
Room was great, very modern, comfortable, and lots of value for the price. Beds clean and comfortable. Ample close, no-hassle parking, for free. Excellent, professional, super-friendly, helpful, accommodating staff at every interaction. The advertised room was ready upon arrival with no-wait, no-hassle check-in. Great location and price. Quiet hotel - no highway traffic noise or other loud guests. Surrounding neighborhood seemed safe, even late at night. Thoroughly satisfied, will be back if taking another trip to Anaheim! Pool/Jacuzzi closed at 10pm - I had wanted to go for a late night soak.
Staff was great, location was super convenient!
The staff were very helpful, polite and efficient. They were willing to answer all my questions and eager to make sure we were comfortable. The gift shop was packed full of merchandise neatly organized and clean. The hotel was close, to shopping and restaurants and theme park parking lots. The beds didn't have box springs which made the mattress a little too firm for our tastes.
Walking distance to both Anaheim Convention Center and also Disney Land. Hotel is a stop on ART, so it is easy to travel to local attractions and shopping. There is also a pool and sauna. Good Value for a moderate price. The room did not offer a blow dryer or hair conditioner.
Price. Wireless was down in my area (paid for). Bugs in the room. Water was cloudy. No ironing board.
There was a fridge in the room. There was free wifi access, and free sattelite TV. It was close to disneyland and the bus stop was literally right outside the front door to the lobby. The room was in disrepair. There was mold in the calk around the top of the shower. The shower pressure was very weak. The toilet was too short, it felt like I was sitting on the floor. There was not a microwave in the room, which made it really hard to use the fridge for anything other than cold drinks.
I go to Disneyland 3 or 4 times a year from out of town and I stay at a different motel/hotel each time. This one wasnt bad. The room was clean but no soap at the sink. The beds slept comfortable enough. Staff was friendly. Just a little pricey. For the same price i could have been closer to the park and had a microwave and refrigerator.
We stayed at another Motel 6 in Buena Park and it was dirty, were given bloody towels, and the beds had roaches in them. Thus one was clean. Close to the park and near by restaurants. Small bed, small room, and noisy guests.
