very attractive boutique hotel with upscale ambience. The rooms were very well appointed, comfortable and contemporary. Brand new renovations in November, so it feels new, but in the setting of an old monestary building. Very hip.
sophisticated furniture and atmosphere of room I prefer normal inner shoes style.
Excellent value, room, price, hamman, sport, bathroom, nespresso and bed. I am in Brussel on a regular basis, but did not select for my next visits because price delta was to big with Radisson Blu (80€). For a smaller delta I would have selected The Dominican. Nothing
The atmosphere in the hotel and also the staff and their friendliness. No.
Great location. Helpful and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The only negative is breakfast is not included. One can choose to pay €27 per person, a hefty price for eggs & toast.
room superbly equipped and furnished. Sometimes difficult to get service in the restaurant and bar
This hotel was absolutely amazing! My husband and I were road tripping through Europe and stopped in Brussels on a whim. This hotel and city ended up being our absolute favorite. It is a beautiful hotel, with excellent staff, and the facilities are great. We can't wait to travel back and stay at the Dominican again.
Architecture, Decoration, Room and coffee Room was small, hotel is small but very luxurious and modern
Great location. Great decor. The hotel truly conveys an air of luxury and expensive design. Ideal for a weekend stay. Not all lights in the room were working.
The design and atmoshere
The comfortable bed, the nespresso machine, the location, the kind staff, We had a bathroom with the shower in the middle of the room, so that the whole room was flooded after the shower. The view of our room showed on the restaurant, we would have preferred another view.
Our room was spacious and we were impressed with the bathroom and amenities. We didn't get the same room rate on the additional day we stayed (due to the Belgium rail/bus strike). Consequently, we had to pay a higher rate for the day on top of the amount we were paying for a room in Bruges that we couldn't get, to due to the strike.
Although it is a small hotel, it has everything that is needed for a hotel. It is a nice hotel in a good location. The breakfast is nice too. The air-con unit is not working for the whole hotel during our 2 days stay there. But luckily the weather in Brussels is cooling and we do not really rely on the air-con unit.
Trendy modern feel to hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast everything was fresh. Good heating and hot water. Comfy beds.Lovely efficient staff. When having window open for ventilation there was noise during the early morning from the foyer.
A nice, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff. And of course, the location of the hotel is just perfect.
Very good location, eco-friendly hotel Old and very used looking rooms, very dark because of small windows. Very little difference between standard and superior rooms
Good bed, near train station and in the city center.Good soap in bathroom, not in a small bottle. Environmental preservation all around. The hotel needs a bit of refurbishing, it is starting to show some wear and tear.Maybe some extra help at the reception would be a good idea to speed up checking in and checking out.
The hotel is in an excellent location for amenities, facilities and sightseeing. Quality of food and accommodation is very good None
Very comfortable hotel, very good location, good services. Nothing particular, maybe it is more for business than for turism. It lacks some "charm".
Friendly staff, Goodbreakfast, Nice and soft bed.
Very good location, close to Grand Place Easy to get there from the airport
Location, hotel decor.
The perfect location
In the centre of the old town and very close to good but expensive restaurants. Also 2mins from grand place and shopping street. Rooms over priced but clean + comfortable. Good 30min walk from eurostation but Metro station just behind hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast Expensive room rate on weekdays. Not a bargain holiday. Room for 3 is a camp bed arrangement in a 2 bed room, so quite squashed with little floor space and inadequate wardrobe/ draw space for 3.
Very quiet despite central location Streets around it covered with garbage. City workers on strike?
Location The internet connection because is paid.
Near the center;the kindness of the staff;price worth
This hotel is located very close to Grand Place and to Brussels-Central Metro station. The staff was very helpful. The rooms are clean ans have modern furnishings. We would stay there again. The Internet connection, Breakfast and the Restaurant were too expensive.
Clean, comfortable, friendly and well priced and with an excelllent location.
good breakfast I asked for a non-smoking room but got a smoking room
The room was great. the hotel was difficult to find intially.
A great place to stay with good facilities and great staff. Even one of the staff gave me a lesson in ironing! :)
Beautiful new hotel, our room looked amazing. Excellent location.
The location is exellent and the staf is very friendly and helpfull. The breakfest is good but not cheap,
Great location, convenient for all shops, bars and transport. Relatively quiet for Brussels city centre hotel.
The location and the view from the rooms in the upper floors of the hotel. (stayd there many times!) Slow service at the reception
Great location, spacious room, good breakfast, close to parking, friendly and helpful staff.
I like it is close to Grand Place I missed duves
service at reception quality of the breakfast, could be better, offer of hot meals could be wider (Only eggs and bacon)
Location was central for site seeing, price online was good. Friendly staff for our brief interaction. Great room, really spacious which was a genuine surprise in older europe buildings. Good hot water and amenities. Big caveat... this was the weekend of brussels beer week fest so maybe it is not nearly this bad normally without the partiers...But, Very noisy from the outside alley/bars all night (til 6am when we got up to leave). We live in baltimore and are used to traffic and sirens and people. This was not normal amounts of noise. The old windows/building let in every single conversation and beer bottle clink. Pretty much not sleepable without the jet lag. As we checked in another patron was demanding a refund and trying to check out because of the noise. I see why now...
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. quite and clean room. excellent location. No, my stay was without complaint
The location was really the only thing going for this hotel. Its only a short walk to the Grand Place. However I would not stay again as the quality was poor. The room was very small, cramped. The bathroom had exposed wires on the hair dryer, the ceiling had damp patches. There was an electrical adapter which we removed to plug in our phone charger, when we replugged it I got an electric shock. I advised the receptionist of all the issues and he simply noted them on a post-it pad and said he would mention them to a colleague. not good enough.
Short walk from the train station and very close to all the tourist spots. Great value for the price. Very nice continental breakfast with a view! We stayed on a Friday night and the bar across the street didn't stop playing music till 4am. Noisy people in alley till 5am. Bring earplugs or request a room not facing the street!
location, free breakfast room smells to pee, no joke, I arrive to late, window was open, ok I close it and start sleeping, then smell wake me up, I thought maybe the toilet wasnt clean properly, close the door of the toilet, smells continued, change position, nothing changed, it was good I only spend one night, so avoid room 501 and I had to paid 4.25 extra that wasnt posted on the website
Excellent location for restaurants and Grand Place Perhaps some modernisation of the furnishings would be nice
I have stayed there off and on for some years - it is very friendly with an excellent location and the view from breakfast is great.
Had a great time would stay there again no
breakfast it very nice and the hotel is near of evrything.
Warm comfortable and 2mins from the Grand Place Safe didn't work
Walking distance to the train station. Three minutes from Grand Place!! Great location for restaurants and shops. No direct access by taxi . Hard to find the first time. Very hard.
The room was big and was worth the price! Location was superb as it was just beside the metro.
Very well situated, great value for money really!
The location of the hotel - it is situated at the center of Brussels - at few steps from the hotel are located all the famous mounuments of Brussels and also you have at your disposal all sources of public transport - metro, buses and trains near the hotel. Very nice place, if I come back soon in Brussels I'll stay at the same hotel!
Staff were friendly. Room and bathroom were very clean Breakfast was disappointing, Staff seemed more interested in setting up tables than restocking the buffett. Not a lot of choice. It would have been good to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room
Good location, right next to the central train station and metro station is right next door. Inexpensive. Free Wi-fi internet wich is a must for me. Room was fair enough for the price.
The personnel are very pleasant. The bedroom and bathroom are both very clean.
It was the location which was near the Central station and also near some attractions. Staff was nice and friendly and breakfast was fantastic. Room and all amenities was great.
close to central station, small hotel, good internet conection, nice room with good heating it was not so clear that breakfast was not include in the price, toilet was not cleaned propely
mostly fine no refrigerator
convenience of location for city and transport
nice rooms, good breakfast. power on my shower was low and took a long time to heat up in the late evening.
Leaving the hotel I woke up 3 times to find the room filled with a smell of rotten eggs which me me feel ill and had to change rooms. the second room was fine, but much smaller.
location was good, staff was nice the room was horrible. awkwardly placed in a dark corner next to the service elevator and stairs. a lot of noise of staff moving stuff, walking up and down the stairs at night and early morning. definitely not what I expected from this hotel which seemed nice from the pictures. I felt cheated and very disappointed. If there was a way to request some kind of refund or compensation, I would.
Nice rooms, great location We could smell the sewage in our room. When we confronted the staff about it, they said yes, the sewage line runs under the hotel.
Excelent location, good breakfast
Clients are very good taking care of.
Location near the Grand Place, internet service, godd breakfast and helpful staff.
The relaxed attitude and comfort, that made it a pleasure to stay for our weekend visit to the Christmas Market Would like tea making facilities in the room
Excellent location, within easy walking distance of the main sights and public transport system. Accommodation was clean & tidy and staff most helpful & efficient. Our room was faultless.
Excellent location, general good quality hotel cold
Very nice room. Clean, big bed, high quality cosmetics. Hotel has 2 computers with Internet. You can use them free. Location is excelent - 100m from Central Station. The heating system wasn't working. Hotel staff was unfriendly. They didn't care about client needs. Breakfast is pretty poor for a 4 stars hotel. The food is fresh and tasty but you have not many chooses (french style - avaricious). They asked us to pay the bill in advance when we checked in.
Great room and bed plus very friendly staff A hard street/location to find but well worth the effort
Central location. No noise from the street. Nicely decorated. Staff willing to solve the initial problems: example, electric heater brought to the room; metal key to lock the door, etc. Front desk staff still not 100% trained and familiar with tasks and tools. Before opening an hotel basic checks should be a must: telephone not working, heating not working, hotel room could be locked only with a traditional metal key, etc.
The hotel was within a few minutes walk from Grand Place and close to many cafes/restaurants. The hotel was minimalist but comfortable with a great bathroom including a superb walk-in shower. The staff were very helpful. It was a little difficult to find being tucked away down a narrow street.
Friendly hotel staff. Excellent location just 50m from the central station and 10min walk to the down town. Sound-proof rooms. Nice Breakfast. In the first day, some reconstruction activities took place at the lobby area. In case, you go there for business purposes, please note that the wireless access is only available at the lobby, and the internet connection went down due to an ISP fault.
Nice design, good location and potentially good overall package. Room was sizable and bed comfortable. Hotel had opened previous weekend and there were issues, unfortunately. WiFi signal is not the strongest yet and air conditioning is sucking all the heat out.
absolutely newly opened, excellent staff, very good breakfast; excellent standard of room and bathroom wireless not working in room; little natural light
the hotel is new! everything is so nice prepared. The wash room, the bed sheet are all very clearn. The room is big.The Location is excellent. But travellers must make sure you come out from the correct tram/train stop. If you come out from the correct one, you find the hote is just in front you. We came out from the trian station main exis, returns out we walked a big round to get to the hotel. if you are not sure how to go there, make sure you check the google map or call the hotel when you get off your train. if breakfast is included in 99 Euro would be great!
Perfect location for our city trip, nevertheless quiet. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff except from the very grumpy one doing the check out early in the morning...
Hotel was fine - very close to Gare Centrale and Grand Place Breakfast was ridiculously expensive 21 € - and was not worth the money - just a standard buffet
Nothing. Rip off. Totally overpriced
Very much so!!!
Very modern, clean and comfortable rooms. Having a room at the end of the hallway (no noise) and with windows opening at the front and the back of the room was surely a bonus. Staff at the desk spoke many languages, unfortunately Dutch was not one of them.
big & silent room
Location and price, perfectly adequate Noise from hall, some maintenance issues in room
The fact that it was really central location in the capital and easy !
Location close to the Grand Place. The bar was only open at certain times. I was also surprised that there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room.
The Staff were always very friendly, welcoming and smiling. This made it easy to approach them about anything. The room and facilities there were really very good.
Good central location, the breakfast was very good and I would stay here again
the condition of the room and bathroom is 3 star at it's best, not a 4 star hotel
Very close to the town and train station. Great breakfast. Our room was a nonsmoking room which smelled badly of smoke, maid did nothing to improve the problem after complaining to hotel mg.
The location was excellent Very long process t check out
Breakfast is OK, but could be better for 14 EUR. There are several places nearby you can get breakfast for less. Great location and confortable stay. I recommend it.
I didn't like anything particulary. all very basic for the price. The rooms are cold and noisy. You can hear your neibour and doors banging.
Very good location, everything is around th hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms are very well furnished There was no ınternet connection at the hotel
Great location very near the center and the train station
The hotel is located right in the middle of all the touristy sights you want to see in the grand place. The staff is great they speak English and 7 other different languages. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. What I didn't like was that breakfast was not included and the city tax you have to paid at the end of your stay. City tax is about 4.75 euros per day.
Very convenient and provided what I needed (for a short business trip). Breakfast was a bit so-so, considering the cost.
perfect location, great clean rooms, great service & facilities - 100% recommended Our room was on level 6 - and the lift went to level 5 only so we had to carry 2 large luggages by hand using the stairs, and that is very unpleasant especially after a 3-hour train journey.
Great location, reasonable prices at the bar. Everything was extra, breakfast, luggage room, (wi-fi access expensive)
Great location, very clean Very basic accommodation for the price, noisy
Reasonable location, staff friendly and helpful. The central location is good for seeing Brussels I was uncertain about the cleanliness of bedding, it could have been clean but not ironed. On the other hand it was not obviously dirty or used so I did not enquire
We enjoyed the breakfast. The decor throughout the hotel are amazing. The location was perfect, since it was near what we wanted to see. The room was a bit small.
Superb location, friendly staff and a weird and wonderful building. It looks like an ott version of a Turkish harem and is great fun! This is not your everyday run of the mill hotel and I reccommend it to everyone with a sense of humor. The room is fairly basic, but still good value for the price.
Perfect location, right in the middle of everything. Very friendly staff. Charming, eccentric decor. Short walk to the train station. Restaurants and pubs are right outside, Grand Place a one-minute walk away. This is not a business traveler's hotel. Phone didn't work. You walk through the narrow hallways and climb the narrow stairs and take all the twists and turns to get to your very primitive room...only to find the wifi password is not written down anywhere, and you can't call reception from the room phone. It's cute and charming for a romantic weekend, but if you have a suitcase, not just a carry-on, you'll have a hell of a time trying to negotiate the hallways and stairways. For the price, you can get much more in the way of amenities at many other hotels in central Brussels.
Location was excellent: only a short walk from the Grand Place. It was more like an inn than a hotel. Noise could be heard loudly from outside the room. Double room was way too small. Bathroom was cold and a bit smelly.
Good location, next to the Grand Markt and Central Station. The staff is very unfriendly, unhelpful, and the rooms are strangely decorated and not so clean.
I was on a little Euro Trip and this was one of the most interesting/unique hotels I have ever stayed in in my life. They chose a theme and really ran with it. The decor was quite unique, a bit over the top, but I think thats what made this hotel so special. The location is also perfect! It was a one minute walk to the city center and very close to public transportation. I would highly recommend this place to someone who is looking for an experience, this is not a Hyatt by any means but the art work and decor will keep you entertained. The bathroom could use a little updating. It was clean, but seemed outdated. Large suitcases not recommended, the hallways wind, are narrow, and have stairs in random places. Wifi didn't work great, not a hotel that you are going to be getting any business done in.
The hotel is located right in the centre of Brussels, and the room rate is very good considering the location
It was close to Grand Place. Very noisy at night and we had to keep the window closed. No air conditioning, so uncomfortable. I don't think the room had ever been cleaned, and the bedding was pretty rough.
central location there was no chair in the room
Decorating work being carried out directly outside my room. Cell-like room with practically no natural light
