very nice breakfast, hotel location excellent. a lot of traffic noise when window/door is open
excellent value considering you are in marbella and only one block away from the beach! nice breakfast/dining area, definitely would recommend. they offer parking but we just did it ourselves, literally the next driveway and 12 euro/day. (although a car is not really needed)
the staff, cleaner, frindly, location, room location nice view none
The hotel was very well placed to explore the old town of Marbella. It was also just a short walk to the beach. It was great for us as we were just stopping over for a night on our way home.
We had a warm welcome and the lady receptionist spoke good English. I asked for a nice view and we had a superb view of the mountains from our room. Everything was very clean. Good selection for breakfast. Some of the receptionists do not speak good English. Tea/coffee making facilities would be an improvement, and possibly a small fridge. The instructions for using the air conditioner were not very good.
right in the old center of Marbella, exellent value for money
Hotel was very well located, easy to get around from here. Staff was very unhelpful, bordering on rude.
We loved the sea view, the excellent breakfast buffet, the very comfy rooms with soft pillows, free wifi all over hotel. Spend a lot of time at the lovely Marbella old town (within a couple of minutes walking distance). Can definately recommend this hotel.
location, breakfast, room
Breakfast facilites excellent, private beach and towel service very convenient i lost my camera :-(
Somewhat disapointing in terms of facilities. Hotel looked tired and need of upgrading. No management of the Spa facilities Reduce the price
Location and attitude of staff. Pool is a bit on the small size and spa is overpriced for residents.
Very good hotel - complimentary drink of sparkling wine on arrival! Excellent buffet breakfast. Good location with beach on doorstep. Will be booking again next year - with Booking.com.
Location Only complaint is that I booked on your website for three nights and received confirmation of that. On arrival at hotel we were told we could only stay two nights as hotel was closing for season so had to find another hotel
The Location was great! Right on the beach and a few minutes on foot to the old town center. The Hotel was great! Location, price, ammenities, however the staff were not particularly helpful with tourist info. I stayed there for 4 days, and I wanted to take a 1 day excursion to Morrocco. For whatever reason the hotel staff could not help coordinate it. I kept asking them to help me and for some reason they kept sending me in towards a dead end.
Ideal location beside beach and 5 minutes stroll from old town. Excellent breakfast. High class hotel with great facilities.
Location: on the beach and a short walk to the charming old town , if you are lucky to get seaview room the panorama is great
The location of the Princesa Playa is it's best feature. Only 3 minutes walk and you are in the Old Town of Marbella, with its charming narrow streets and restaurants. For people who like to do some cooking at "home", it is ideal with the kitchenette and microwave, and the Opencore is just around the corner for groceries. The wiev from our balcony over the sea and the beach promenade is great. If you get tired of the beach they have a nice small heated pool on the rooftop. Some people have complained about thin walls and noise, but from our room (108) we could only hear the elevator in the hallway, no noise from surrounding rooms. The only downpoint on our part, was that one morning there was no hot water for our shower, and the sunchair on the rooftop was no good.
i like this hotel very much, the hotel staff was excellent, the rooms were clean and confortable, the view from the breakfast room was amazing...
Location I felt the hotel was slightly dated
The location We were a party of seven people and we had to carry our luggage from an to the rooms. Bell service is not available during our check in and check out time.
location staff could have been friendlier
Location, 2 terraces, spacious room and bathroom, nice kitchen Cleanness of tools in kitchen.
The pool and bar area
This hotel is all about the location. It could not be located in a better position and considering its location it is fantastic value for money. It's not luxurious but it is absolutely all that is required. The hotel is very, very, very clean. Rooms were cleaned to such a high standard every day. the staff were very helpful. We would stay there again without hesitation. Infact we would not stay anywhere else especially if the rates remained at such a reasonable price.
Lovely breakfast Hard mattress and expensive car parking :-(
Location and service
location bar staff were positively unhelpful and unfriendly, thus we went to bars on street
Nice and peaceful, very central to other services Would have liked some tea coffee facilities in the room. and more room between beds and dressing table a bit snug for two people
Location is great and quite, breakfast is amazing, hotel is in front of unbelivable view of the beach... Highly recommended Rooms will be better refunrished, you need to stand on your balacony to look at sea..
Great location, nice facilities, very nice room Check-in was a bit slow and unorganized. Other than that the hotel was great and we would return
Proximity to sea, promenade and old town Large hotel, a bit noisy at times
Location was perfect. We especially enjoyed renting bikes and biking on the boardwalk to Puerto Banus. Staff was friendly and brought us a free bottle of cava for our honeymoon. Best leg of our trip to Spain! Miscommunication concerning bike rentals left us walking back and forth through the town for an hour only to find that there are only five bikes to rent.
the location is fantastic service staff seems too full to handle, esp reception
Everything, the hotel is a gem & the best thing about marbella Cannot think of any negative aspect even if I try hard to find one
Very high quality boutique hotel situated in a good position in old part of Marbella. Hands-on approach by owner managers which we very much enjoyed and a first class restaurant experience on our last night N/A
Great location with very friendly and helpful staff. We had a fantastic stay and made to feel very welcome.
the intimate stting, the very nice staff, great decoration a little noisy
Pleasant friendly staff. Lovely breakfasts. Pleasing decor. No front door key provided. Some teething problems - safe not working, no hot water on our last night, no laptop available (although staff kindly allowed access to the hotel's PC)
Desiree Wilmes - Manager - Was Excellent and service generally very very good
Wow!! Fabulous service - everybody did their very best to make me feel at home. A real jewel. I will go back! This is not a dislike just a note. There are a couple of rooms where there is no lift - if you have a problem with stairs check that you have one of the rooms with a lift. The Manager kindly changed my room and I didn't have a problem but it might have been more difficult at a busy time.
Superb boutique hotel in a great location
The staff and food location difficult to find
Once found the position Very hard to find needs more direction, have to park and walk although not too far
pleasant staff, big bed, nice large room, excellant location No coffee available from room service so tea.coffee making facilities in room would be good. Cleanliness of room not the best.
Really friendly staff. Great location right in the old town. Clean and simple - perfect for some traditional spanish vacationing.
Beautiful small hotel with very warm welcome from reception staff. Room very well decorated and bed comfortable. Would definitely book here again if visiting Marbella. Breakfast was designed for tourists, I would have preferred authentic Spanish Breakfast
Free internet connection Lack of a bar!
The hotel is very central and the staff are so friendly and accomodating.
I appreciated the helpfulness of the staff. They were excellent in assisting us during our stay. Upon returning to Spain, I would love to stay there again.
Great hotel - central, beautifully decorated, clean, and the staff couldn't have done more. An absolute find. More of a boutique 4* than a 2*
The hotel was very well located on a quiet residential street that had great access to the promenade and beach and the old town area. Although basic it was very clean, modern, well appointed and decorated, and despite the location of convenience very quiet as well. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel provides excellent value for money for those not in need of a bar and swimming pool The towels were a bit tired and rough but on mentioning this they were replaced with better ones.
It was in a very quiet residential area close to Marbella old town and Orange Square. Very traditional Spanish and very helpful owners. Better TV reception would have been useful
The hotel is in the old town of Marbella which is absolutely beautiful as is the hotel and within 100metres of some excelent resturants. The owners are delightful and very helpful. A great place to relax. Nothing
Great position and easy to get around old town and beach Difficult to get to. Malaga taxis did not know where it was and we had wasted a bit of time getting to the hotel. Had to ask three different people to assist with address whereabouts. Police only knew it was parralel with main street. Even a real estate agent had to contact hotel where they were and it turned out that the hotel was a mere 150 metres away from the agency. A bit frustrating.
Excellent Location and not fancy but very comfortable Difficult to find. Need a map of the whole city of Marbella, not just the old city center where the hotel is located.
- friendly staff - great location - clean, quaintly decorated rooms - their restuarant recommendations - internet
The Old Town location was perfect. Hundreds of narrow streets leading to restaurants, tapas bars, and wonderful shops. The houses were adorned with flora and were imaculately painted and presented - beautiful to walk past and look at. When you stay at La Morada, the owners make you feel more like a house guest, than just a customer at a hotel. The guest lounge is a calming relaxing room where guests can enjoy free access to a computer and the internet. Relaxing music plays in the background and the owner's Marbella beach scene paintings adorne the walls. I am almost reluctant to say how good it was to stay there as places like this are a best kept secret, they are so good! What I didn't like about staying at La Morada was that I didn't stay there long enough! Next time I visit, it will be for much longer!
It was in the great old town of Marbella, which is so beautiful. Everything was in walking distance. The hotel manager was just awesome! She was very informative and always so polite! For those who are light sleepers, it may not be the spot for you. Since, there are nearby restaurants, you will hear the people talking late at night. It really didn't bother me. I had great sleeps!
This hotel is really special, a hidden gem right in the centre of the old town, there are only 8 rooms and it it typically spanish and a bit quirky. Breakfast was served to the room in a picnic basket which was really different. My wife and I really enjoyed the stay and the owner Paloma is really helpfull. The only problem we had was that the water is heated by solar panels and we had to shower some mornings in water that was a little too cool. If they could improve this it would be faltless.
Beautiful property right in the centre of Marbella Old Town, within walking distance of everything !!! Lovely clean rooms - ours was on two levels which was an unexpected novelty. Would definitely recommend.
spacious suite, spiral stairs to outside terrace, nice bedroom, nice bathroom, refrigerator unit. staff was friendly and helpful. overall a very pleasant place to stay. outdoor furniture needs replacement to fully enjoy the terrace, and living room area could be more attractively decorated
Superb location on the edge of the old town - easy walk to restaurants and the beach. Very clean, comfortable room with air conditioning. Excellent value for money given the very central location. A room safe would have been very useful - and perhaps the hotel could consider this for the future. Also, some form of breakfast facility on site would be good - even just serving juice, beverages and rolls/croissants - nothing cooked. However, several nearby cafes did serve breakfast so it wasn't a huge problem.
Excellent location just outside old town centre, friendly family run hotel, overlooking old city castle walls, staff made us feel like home
Location, comfort and cleanliness, hotel staff. No
Perfect location, nice mountainview or 17th century castle view. Restaurants and pittoresque old town of Marbella 100 metres away on the left handside of hotel. 500 metres beach and city centre. Once found a parking, leave your car, everzthing is close. Best location and value for monez. Needs at least one star more !!! Nice helpful staff. Friendly family run hotel !
Very good central location and the rooms/reception nicely decorated and clean. We arrived Saturday afternoon after a long journey only to find the cafe/bar was not open that day or the following being Sunday!! No chance of even getting a beer or coffee.
Very central, practicaly inside the old town, 5 min from the beach. Near shops, restaurants and bars. Once you find a parking space, leave your car, and don´t move it! No hairdryer. Needs a room safe. Towel holder was broken and was never repaired.
Location, friendly staff Bar/cafeteria opens at 9 a.m. -would be nice to be able have some breakfast earlier. At moment no hairdryers, all ten of them stolen by customers!
Nice place, close to the old town and the Marbella center, not far from the beach. The room and towels are changed every day, there is a coffee bar near by for a breakfast at very reasonable price,
Clean, functional rooms, great location.
Very good location and very reasonable price.
The location as it was very central and not far from the beach. Also, the apartment was on a very noisy corner where the locals like to gather and talk loudly into the early hours. We had a 5 night stay and while we only expected cleaning on 4 nights, we only got it on 3 nights.
good location, quiet, nice roof terrace, easy to work from
The location of the apartments within the Old Town near to Orange Square and only 10 minutes walk to the beach. Clean, air conditioned apartments very well priced. One very minute detail.....The shower head was broken and ended up spraying all directions.
The apartments are in a perfect position in the old town, which is beautiful, however it is only a 10 minute slow walk to the sea front. Doris and Jose, the owners, could not be any more helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We have already booked to go back again next year. We booked late and got the last apartment, which was on the ground floor and a little dark for reading, but perfect when it came to sleeping.
The appartement we had, number 3, was charming and had a lovely terrace. We had a very pleasant stay there.
The owners of the apartments Doris and Jose were very inviting friendly and most helpful at all times. It was a pleasure to meet such lovely people. I would highly recommend their accomodation.
Doris the apartametos owner was very friendly and gave me a very warm welcome. The apartamento was clean, spacious and very cute funitued. The room was clean and friendly. Very practical was also that the apartamentos are directly accross the parking and only a few steps to go to the heart of the old town. There were two small things which were maybe not ideal: The room had a quiet strong smoking smell The room was at the level of the small steet. If somebody is a bit sensitive of noice it could not be easy to sleep as you hear all the pedestrian and small motorbikes passing. On the other hand this made also the charm of this sweet place...
friendly helpful owners and staff
Great hotel. Really exceeded expectations! Friendly helpful owners and in a beautiful traditional part of marbella. Highly recommended. Perhaps may be good to have 1 english tv channel. Don't imagine its necessary in summer but during low season siesta, might be nice to even have bbc news. Small issue though.
Value for money, very central clean and great location
Very central in Marbella, close to beach and the old town. The bedroom was large and spacious, very good value for money, same price as the Hostels but far, far better. No bar in the hotel and as i was travelling alone (lady 56) i would have liked to have had a drink in the evening either in the bar or in my room
Location is great Our sheets were not changed throughout the week.
loking over the balcony at the mahem of the traf
Good location, service and friendly staff.
nearby city center and the sea car parking
Biggest hotel room I've ever stayed in in Spain, or Europe, for that matter. Room was very clean. It is located on a corner and there was a fair amount of street noise that drifted up to our 4th floor room
Very central location - 5 minutes walk to either the beach or the old town areas. Good sized room with a nice balcony - though it did look out over a busy junction. No fridge - which given the heat in Marbella for much of the year would have been a nice addition. Still at the price you can't expect perfection !
The location is excellent, just 5 mins from the beach and marina. The room we had was very large and had a balcony.
The personal touches in the room and personal service of the owner and staff
The beautiful detail in the interior design and the delightful staff. N/A
The roof terrace and use of fridge was convenient and nice touch
Charming atmosphere, wonderful location and staff who treates you as old friends
The dining room was fabulous. Room was small.
Warm atmosphere, good interia, excellent staff. Location is complicated, and it might be impossible to fine by yourself. However, hotel staff kindly came and picked up us in front of near supermarket. Also we asked a beach and restaurent to the staff. She recommended nice beach and restaurents. We just followed her recommendation, which made our trip perfect. I would like to recommend the hotel to all of people, but if everyone come, it might make me difficult to book the hotel again. So, I don't recommend it!!
the staff was great, the rooms are very nice, clean and original decoreted, the location is excellent, you feel like home no
La Villa Marbella is a truly small charming hotel, located in the delightful old town of Marbella only steps away from the center and not far from the beach. The staff is very nice and helpful indicating real interesting spots to visit/resturants aso.
Excellent personal service throughout. All furniture and finishings were high quality and well thought out. On hearing that the trip was a present for my girlfriends birthday the staff were more than happy to arrange for flowers in the room and even supplied a complimentary bottle of very nice Cava. Coming back to Marbella I would not want to stay anywhere else. Highly recommended.
Very nice hotel of Marcus and his staff. Breakfast is on the terrace on the topfloor and is excellent. On the day of arrival we got very nice advices where to go and where to eat.
the helpful owners, the location close to the old town
The lady at the front desk (the owner I presume) was very kind even our english was'nt the best option. The atmosphere in the center of Marbella. Even the very narrow streets :) The (private) bathroom on the hall.
Great Staff, good prices, nice service, i will repeat
The family the run at the Hostal were very helpful and kind and it was very central for my needs. The rooms are very basic, no bedside light for reading, no plugs in sinks, very small showers and in my case 1 small window that did not open and looked out onto an internal corridor, not worth the 40€ a night cost when you can stay at a good hotel for the same price.
Very clean, helpful and friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Moer like a hotel then a hostel. Very pretty little street. A+
Helpful family owners;Free wifi and multi computers in the common room;and excellent big screen tv. would have liked breakfast offered from 8am.
Close to the sea and both to the center. Clean rooms. Really nice and helpful personnel.
Very attentive, friendly staff. Relatively large, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing rooms.
Clean, correct, nice little place on a quiet, small street.
location is very good, hotel staff is very kind and very professional, rooms are well cleaned, breakfast is good and rates are fair enough
No elevator, so I had to lug my heavy bag up a flight of stairs.
friendly helpful efficient reception staff quiet location though very convenient to "the action" my bed was horrible, a board!! Cleaning was sparce, needs refurbishment.
Good location near the action but on quiet street, 24hr reception Nothing terrible, just a basic, backpacker-style hostel - no elevator, ac wasn't working, no breakfast
Fresh Clean bright Quaint No dislikes
the room is sunny and has a nice balcony. It is safe and the receptionists are friendly. It is located near the main squares where the restaurants, cafes and bars. also it is close to the beach the AC was not workin properly, the safe box was not working and the water turns suddenly to extremely hot in the shower and sink although the mixer is properly adjusted to allow for warm water. The rooms need attention from the staff and require maintenance. You pay more than what you get.
first of all the location, the rooms are very differents and if you can choose you can get a very good one
It was well located within walking distance to shops and beach There were no coffee/tea making facilities and we had to go next door for ice
The hotel is in the beautiful old town, in the center of Marbella, the relation price/quality is excellent, the staff is very helpful and friendly, they speak all english, my room had a balcony and was very clean, I will book again, thank you. The rating: 9.
The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, the room was a reasonable size and clean. For the price Linda Hotel was excellent value for money, it was a little difficult to find but the quaint setting only added to the charm. No real problems but I guess if you had a lot of luggage then it could be a bit of a hassle getting a lot of luggage to and from the hotel
I liked everything about the hotel No
A good budget hotel in a central location. friendly helpful staff.
Excellent location and TV/air con made it a very comfortable stay. Also had a great private balcony.
New, Clean and in a perfect location No warm blanket in the room though it was raining and a bit cold at night
The room was very quiet and close to the old town.
good location, good facility, good price.
staff was very helpful , perfect location to see old town of marbella, hostal was clean, room was good, nice to have a balcony, evening menu, disappointed everything is served with chips,
What a "find".This great hostel.restaurant is run by a really friendly Spanish family who go out of their way to make ypou welcome. It is spotlessly clean throughout and the rooms are cleaned every day. The food in the restaurant is excellent and really very resonably priced.Only ten minutes stroll from the main town and beach.I shall certainly stay there again as soon as I can.In fact I went on to the web today to see if I could book for just after Christmas and it was fully booked which must say something about it.
Excellent value for money. The room was clean and bright, and in a quiet part of town. I liked the fact that I was given a front door key so could come and go as I pleased.
The family-run hostal was a delightful place to stay. I had a lovely room, with a view of the mountains, and the staff - 3 brothers and a sister, were all really friendly and helpful. I would go there again.
So exceptionally clean with room spruced up every day. Very friendly staff who were there if wanted but otherwise left you alone to enjoy yourself. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities because no breakfast in the room offering.
We were having an overnight stop before going to the Airport
the location, it islocated in the old city centre which is really lovely and it isvery colse to the beach (a 10 minute walk). - the staff did not speak English properly nor Spanish and one of them was very unpleasant. - the day of the check-out we could not leave our luggage at the hotel, they offer no facilities for that (ie they have no room to store them and come back to collect them) whereas all hotels do it.
the location of the pension is in the city centre and in a beautiful small street full of flowers the rooms were smelly, the bed sheet didnt seem to be too clean, there was neither internet available nor other services
location was great. Staff very nice no air conditioning, but was manageable
The pension is located in the old part of town, down streets you cannot access by car therefore you need to put the coordinates into you sat nav as it will not recognise the name of the road. The pension was excellent value for money and its location was exceptional. The staff did not speak any English, we managed to park on the road free about a 10 minute walk away.
A great hospitality of Staff, proximity to the sea and to City Center No schemes of rooms, only photos
Well presented and very clean, cleaning lady seamed to clean shared shower room after each persons visit. Grumpy lady at front of house.
it's great value for money, location is central and near everything.
Close to beach, shops and restaurants Room was only cleaned twice in two weeks, Bed only made twice
