Barcelona Urbany Hostel is very nice place to stay, it has good location, close to the Clot metro, and it's just 1 stop away from Arca de triomf, olso it's just 10-15 min walk to Sagrada de Familia. The gym, swimming pool and Sauna helped us relax after long day of walking and sightseeing. Breakfast was nice, and from terrace at canteen is perfect view to Torre Agbar. we raelly enjoyed it!
The hostel is at a good location, convenient to take trains. But I wasn't like the reception girl. She was cold and rude to me. My room was directly face to elevator. During the night, it was so noisy with the Ding Dong sound of elevator and people's voice, laughing, talking. I couldn't fall into sleep until 2 or 3 am. If you want to stay, try ask for one room which isn't directly fact to elevator.
In-room security was excellent, as was the rooftop bar The 4-bed dorm room was very cramped compared to other hostels.
It's a great place to stay for young people. It's clean, modern style furnished, friendly and fun. At the same time there is enough of privacy because floors with the rooms are separate from the floors with bar, reception or kitchen. There are free really safe lockers in the room. The breakfast is pretty good. And I liked the people there. The citi centre is about 30 min walking or 8 min by metro. And I had a great view to the torre from my window. So it's a place to come definitly! You need to take your iron with you couse there is only one there and may be you will not be the first in the morning=)
The room did't clean and have not sufficient light in bathroom. Laggage locker cannot real use, need to improve.
the rooms were very clean and tidy. air con was great too, as the temp at night can be hard to sleep in but for the 5 days i stayed i slept great! staff were very helpful and answered all questions the best they could. the kitchen was great to perpare your own food to keep the cost of ur hoilday down. def a very good hostle :) i stayed in 2 different rooms at my time in the hostle and the locks on both the bathroom doors were broke.
kitchen dirty, flea in our first room, at the reception they don't know anything about the city and about the hotel! the gym is well equipped, it's a club outside
i really liked the location of the hostel because there was a metro and a tram station nearby and that was really helpful for me. i didn't like very much the breakfast.
We enjoyed the international atmosphere of young people and the pleasent staff in the bar and in the reception. Not the hotel as such, but it really annoys me when some spoilt brats from "over there" think they can occupy the Internet terminals on the 3rd floor for hours on end when there are people waiting.
Super Clean facilities... very close to the Sagrada Familia Church. The lockers are pretty big, that even your carry-on size bags can easily fit in them. Free Breakfast and prices at the bar are very reasonable too!
Good position, friendly and helpful staff. Great terrace for a bear and a beautiful view
Good quality/price ratio, friendly welcome and very well located (near Passeig del Gracia subway station, 10min walk from Catalunya). Sheets and towels are all provided if you book through booking.com (maybe not the case if you book directly to the hostel?). Lockers available in each room. But bring your own lock. The hostel was not aware that the room had been pre-paid on booking.com. Had to make them call booking.com for confirmation. This information should be correctly passed on to the hotel at the time of payment!
Good location near city center We stayed in a double bed room with shower; we payed hotel price for youth hostel standard; we had a room with no daylight; there was an extra charge for sheets/blankets and another for payment with credit card; other (young) guests were very noisy at night time
Near to the City Centre and metro/train station exact on a few steps. I was at Catalunya circuit and transportation is on first place. Exellent conditions. Polite staff.
location is very good. Kind of noisy, becos young guys came back very late. But it's burget travelling for me.The other thing is u have to rent blanket, towels.
Location was just great, staff good, clean place, great athmosphere, would go back again! Wi-Fi should be in every floor, its not too expensive i think to do an installation and make it available for clients.
Very nice atmosphere.
The hostel was well situated within the city. The staff were helpful and respectful. As a mature traveller I was previously concerned about the inconsideration of groups of younger guests, but this did not prove to be a problem. I enjoyed my stay and those I met. I felt I recieved good value for money.
I like that it's very centrally located. It's right on Passeig de Gracia, very close to some of Gaudi's best-known architectural works, and surrounded by some of the finest in dining, shopping, and sightseeing. Located in a very high-profile part of town, close to the heart of vibrant Barcelona! The beds could have been better. I was always assigned the top bunk beds - which I didn't mind - but it was really awkward climbing these beds. There was hardly any space between the beds, and so it was difficult (nearly impossible!) to use the ladder. I suggest leaving enough space between the beds so that we could actually use the ladder when climbing the top bunk. This would be much safer for us too. ...Also, I hate to say this, but there's plenty of room for improvement in their customer service. Some of them could use a full semester in charm school. ;-)
I have stayed at the Centric Point several times, and each time have been impressed by the friendliness, the cleanliness and basic good value. The location is terrific, too- just "up-town" enough to avoid noise and smell but within easy walking distance of everything you'd want to see. And it couldn't be more convenient for the metro to the airport or anywhere else you want to get to further afield.
It was the cheapest. That is all it has going for it. Where to start? 1) They charged a 5% fee for using credit cards 2) room look nothing like priceline photo 3) 1 little light bulb for entire room 4) fuse blew after plugging hairdryer 5) dirtier than the bathroom in a bus station
Thanks alot guys!!!! really helped me with activities and things to see in Barcelona. Very friendly staff who took care of us. Great location!! Fantastic atmosphere! I will come back!!!I Thanks!!
great place!!feel like you can stay forever:)..the staff were amazing, they know all about barcelona, where to eat,or going out,art..certainly a value hostel@@@thanx
stylish decoration!i loved the terrace in the mornings it was full of sun, staff was recommanding cool cultural things to do,live music, modern museoms.all and all wonderful experience in barcelona. nothing
Staff speaks English fluently and are very helpful. We were also provided with a very helpful map with key attractions and more. Our room was small but comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. The restaurant in Casa Gracia is very good, but the cocktail bar in the bottom floor is overpriced and our drinks weren't good. The neighborhood is fantastic, with plenty of places to eat and drink in any direction. Nearby Placa del Sol is a great spot for soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying delicious and cheap drinks and food. Opening the window to our room let in a foul smell.
The receptionists were so nice and they let us keep our luggage there before checking in and after checking out. They have the best maps of the city and were very helpful pointing out attractions and how to get places. Everything was very clean and they had free laptops for us to use the internet. Amazing location, right on Passeig de Gracia, 5 minute walk to Placa Catalunya
convenient location with easy access to metro n bus no computer/internet stations. Lockers in dorms did not come with lock. No individual light for each bunk bed.
