Staff was friendly, welcoming. We were able to leave our luggage at the front desk as our room was not ready for check-in. We arrive to Paris earlier than the check-in time. We dropped off our luggage and went about our day. By the time we came back, it was great to know the staff brought our luggage to our room. We didn't stay in the room much. as we were out all day. I would recommend that the hotel would suggest different places to eat around the city.
absolutely nothing the staff, the cheap, tacky interior, the filthyness, the rude staff constantly smoking .. the loud noisy contruction all through the night, the paper thin walls to here the lowlifes staying in the area fight, the constant sounds of sirens and distress calls.. did i mention the rude staff. the bugs and spiders in the bathroom, the lazy housekeeping service.. the stink of musty furniture throughout the place. i wouldnt even consider the food after seeing the filthy environment
The hotel room was on the small side but very well equipped for the price! We especially enjoyed the multi-room speaker system with headphone jack plug that we used with our iPhone to play music, the rain shower with great water pressure, the windows that overlooked the courtyard that opened all the way up with a great breeze, the big closet that fit all our bags and clothes for our long trip, the mostly friendly staff that understood English well. The proximity to the metro stations was nice but we found Rue Magenta to be very sketchy with a lot of vagrants, loiterers and gypsy beggars. We did not have a good experience with one of the night guards, we asked him to call us a taxi but when it was taking too long to arrive and we changed our minds he got very mad and almost began yelling at us. We had a dinner reservation to make on time and would have missed it if we waited for his cab to arrive. That's not the proper way to treat a guest at your hotel. Also the "spa" was disappointing, there was no privacy and other guests were walking in and out during our reservation time, including hotel staff interrupting the water bed massage midway asking if we had made an appointment. Yes we did make an appointment, please check your books instead of interrupting! So that experience was completely ruined.
We ended up at a Hotel Mademoiselle due to our Airbnb falling through. This turned out to be much better. Friendly staff, central location, and clean cozy rooms. The area is a bit dirty and dodgy at night, BUT as long as you're aware of your surroundings you'll be fine.
The room was absolutely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great but not included. Staff were nice. The "big bus" tour and train station are walking distance. It was far from all historic places that we wanted to see and go in Paris so we had to take a bus or train at day time and taxi at night since I didn't feel safe walking in that area. If you are staying for few days I suggest to get a hotel close to area you are planning to vist but if you are planing to stay for a week or more this is a good place if you don't mind paying for taxi at night!
Good hotel. Would go back. Convenient location (close to train stations and metro). Nice breakfast. Comfy and clean rooms. Nice staff. Private sauna
Very clean and contemporary style. Very nice and professional hotel staff. Free coffee, tea, croissant, and free use of umbrellas. Room was not large, but plenty of space for a 4 night stay with 2 people. Great location. Exceeded our expectations in every way.
Staff, room The suite was amazing, the standard room a bit small
Good location for our purposes between 2 great metro/RER stations. (Gard du Nord & Gare de l'est) but a bit off the beaten path. Need to work on the lighting in the bathroom - hard to see for make-up and hair. Otherwise, room was great. My daughter and I had 2 twin beds and a corner room with small balcony facing the street - it was spacious and quiet on the 5th floor. Would stay here again. Spent little time at the hotel but it was quiet, comfortable and clean and the staff was very personable. Can't speak to the food as we did not eat at the hotel at all.
We needed a place for 1 night stopping through Paris, on the way to London next day via eurostar. The room was small but not by Paris standards. The bed and shower were perfect. The staff was super helpful and nice. For the money it was the perfect place to crash for the night.
Staff were great and very helpful. Rooms were well appointed and nice, comfortable, and clean. Hotel was quiet and located close to metro and a number of excellent restaurants, shops, and bakeries (Mekerbeche nearby is a must-visit). 1. The shower is extremely poorly designed so that every time you use them it floods the bathroom floor with water, this makes showering a chore and could easily be avoided with some small renovations. 2. This hotel is located in a somewhat dubious area, not what you would expect, given the price you are paying.
Excellent location opposite the Gare de L'Est train station, clean comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. Deserves to be a three star hotel! Wished there had been tea/coffee making facilities in the room
They allowed access to room early; small, but well designed hotel room - good for category; easily accessible Gare du Nord. Good experience. Would definitely stay there again if needed easy access for Eurostar. air conditioning was not good; warm during the night; lighting could be brighter.
Friendly staff, modest but nice breakfast buffet (good price/quality), clean room (although small, but that's Paris), very good location (very close to Gare de l'Est and a 5 min walk from Gare du Nord) Reservation was originally for a twin room and we got a double (we haven't made a complaint as it wasn't that important to us)
The location is excellent, within easy walking distance from the Gare de l'Est, even closer to the Metro station, and next door to the Monoprix supermarket- very handy if you need to buy a mains adaptor at 2100h. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room comfortable, and the bathroom spacious and airy. Being English I would have welcomed tea-making facilities in the room, but being Paris, there are plenty of places nearby to get a drink.
We chose the hotel for its closeness to the Gare de L'Est station in Paris, you coudn't get a better location.
Staff is very helpful, location for travellers via Eurostar is nearly perfect, comfort is good.
Access to nearby stations Grimey streets; street noise as windows had to be left open so as to ensure adequate ventilation on two warm summer's evenings.
Location ideal for train and metro sations. Neat rooms and helpful staff. Very small balconies but gives a good view to the local street and station. Reception open till 1 am and can welcome guests almost 24 hrs. Breakfast may cost extra.
Value for the location - more than acceptable room and bathroom for the price, staff efficient and professional, everything worked.
Convenience to everything including transportation and daily needs. A very budget-wise hotel and location. Friendly and helpful staff. Secure area during our stay. Merci beaucoup! Not being able to speak enough French. Je me suis vraiment bien amuser (moi et ma femme). Paris was how you say C'est magnifique!? Your staff (Arnaud and Eric) were very helpful and understanding in that regard. My wife however did take a fall when decending the staircase to the lobby when we first arrived. She thought she had reached the main floor when the carpet run ended thus falling over the remaining steps of the marble staircase. Fortunately, she wasn't injured seriously and was helped by a relative who happened to have walked through the door as she was falling. I thought the staff could have responded to this situation a little better although they might have been busy or preccuppied with other concerns.
The room was very good. The breakfast was not at all good. There was no good bread, there was no egg items, etc.You can add some more options to the breakfast menu.
Great location - just a walk away from the Gare Du Nord as well as the Gare Du Est. Nice, smiling people at the front desk and clean, comfy rooms ! I stayed for 2 days and on both mornings had an early start - so didn't try the breakfast...the staff at the front desk charged me Euro.20 less ! Haven't seen that happen in too many European hotels ! I would come back here for sure ! Well..obviously the toilet could be a bit more bigger...!
Good location of hotel. Room was nice, but very small. Room wasn't clean, dust every where and a terrible smell. Propably not used for a long time
The easiness of reach The price : much too expensive for the size and facilities of the room
Convenient location very near the station
Close to Gare du Nord; Wireless Acess Price very high to qualitity. I paid the price of an Hilton and have an Hostel.
location room too small
The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, location was easy to get to from the metro. Breakfast was 8 euros extra, room was rather small.
Location - close to Gare du Nord and Paris shops When showering water goes on floor- no screen.Breakfast 8euros should include hot dish, E.G., omelette or similar. (Lorette Opera breakfast for same price is much higher standard)
The location. The front desk staff were very nice and informative. Our rooms weren't properly cleaned during our stay. One day the old towels were removed but new ones weren't replaced, and the glasses and cups we used weren't cleaned. the floor was never vacuumed in four days. The hotel did not seem like a four star
This is definitely a solid four star hotel. Extremely comfortable bed, nice room, friendly and well spoken front desk personnel including a major league hottie. I liked everything.
We had an executive room with 2 levels-bed on ground floor and bathroom on lower level. It had enough room for the bed and space to walk around the bed. Although it was small, but a decent size for Paris! The room and bathroom were very clean! Parking that was recommended was a no-go. Seemed to be inside a mechanic garage and supposed to leave keys! No thanks! We paid 40 euros a day for different garage.Location a bit far from center but metro stop right on corner.
Very clean and modern. Staff were great Rooms were tiny, walls were thin, location was a bit out of the way.
Upon arrival we were met by an unfriendly, unhelpful man in reception. No Wifi in room. The location is not very good for tourists but is next to the Metro
I like the room service. At first, I didn't expect that I will get a nice room service in everyday. I cannot use the heater when I feel cold. I ask the staff but they cannot also find the way to use heater.
Smoking room was given and the guy at the reception did not ask if i want non-smoking room. There are a lot of noises from neighbouring guests
Not a luxurious hotel, but good value for money and convenient location
Position (between two station) Cleanliness Comfort Breakfast
Location poor noise insulation, hear what is happening in a neighboring room and the corridor, it is difficult to fall asleep ... not have Wi-Fi...
Very Good location, nice staff, well organised, easy checking and checkout The room was very smelly of humidity, no air conditioning, no vending machine in case someone needs a drink or aa sandwich late at night
Location was very nice. Wifi was weak.
The staff were polite and helpful. The room was basic but good value for money for the central location.
Handy place to get a night's sleep before changing trains
The location was very good because it was right next to the train station and the metro as well as a bus stop. not alot of power outlets
Clean, comfortable and close to transport connections. Good Value in an expensive city. Rooms are a little small but htis is a budget hotel
hotel staff- very friendly, speak very good english, very helpfull. the walls are very thin- you can hear anything going on in other rooms. The bed wasn'r very comfortable.
the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with all our needs the area is located close to restaurants, and public transportation which was great. the elevator and the rooms were very small, had to put luggege in elevator and have friend walk up to 3rd floor to pick them up. and the rooms were tiny.
Free wireless connection in rooms The location, small rooms, to expensive for what it offers
The area of the hotel was very bad. It was not safe.
Central Location, good hotel at cheaper rate. Slightly dodgy area.
1. One or two the hotel staff is extremely helpful, the rest couldn't speak enough English but seemed nice. 1. Some major prostitution streets lie between you and the tourist areas. I felt fairly safe, but uncomfortable. 2. Our room was extremely small, barely big enough to fit two twin beds. 3. The area of town feels kinda shady initially, but I got more comfortable as I went along 4. We listened to a loud buzz everynight that would cut on and off about 20 times in a row (each noise for 5 seconds). I think it had something to do with the air conditioner outside. 5. Internet costs 12 euro's an hour! Come on 6. It has a small tv with about 7 channels total (2 english speaking)
It was clean, had free internet, was close to Metro stations, restaurants and had a lift - although the smallest lift I had ever seen. Still it worked. The rooms were not sound-proofed and there was some noise from other guests.
Cheapest Hotel in the area... Basic and Clean... Good for a quick trip, but not a three star Hotel... Very basic... I don't understand how it is awarded a three star rating...
good servide not so good facilities carpet of the bedroom was in bad condition, but they had uprated the on suite, which was nice.
The room is nice and clean, breakfast very good...hotel near metro station 5 minutes by walk.Hotel staff kind and helpful.
Clean, comfortable and convenient for Gare du Nord No complaints.
Free internet access and breakfast were provided. Within walking distance to the train station.
Only the bathroom Everything was bad .from the reception to the room. Service was bad, staff not friendly & not helpful especially we have 2 kids with us.NOT Value for money at all.
good location nice new bathroom suites friendly staff
It was very close to the subway and train station which made it easy to get around.
Proximity to Gare du Nord, quiet location, friendly staff, and decor. Bathroom sink and computer were broken. In the past that has never been a problem -- I am not sure what happened.
Location to the Gare Du Nort Railway Station and Metro Stations. Very friendly and helpful english speaking staff Our bathroom had a slight smell to it and the shower water was very slow to run away
It was very central. The staff could have been more welcoming. I found them rather stand-offish.
Good spacious shower room Hotel undergoing refurb, but even so, corridor carpet was disgusting.
Good location The room , although clean, was rather dingy and overdue for re decoration.
The staff. They were very kind. The corners of the room were dirty and the toilet had large stains inside. Other than that, the room was comfortable.
Can't say anything good! Shower - too awkward and small. Unfriendly staff. No customer service - I left early before breakfast to get the train - no discount offered, not even a piece of bread. Far too expensive (85 euros).
placement in the city small room
People in the neighborhood are very loud at night
nothing about this hotel was even close to good, complaints have been officially made. there is so much to go on here, its a building site which should come with a hard hat when booking, the reception has cement and bath tubs in it, the room had a coat hanger holding up the shower, the flooring was broken and there was no towels, the breakfast was beyond basic, a stale bread stick with stewed coffee or tea, the walls in the room 507 where damp with mould and like i say the list is endless and an official complaint has been made!
a fair price and not far from the station/ parking facilities
Having one family room. The bathroom was horrible.... the smell of mold was so strong we could not stay in there for long. We could not bathe due to this strong smell.
Room 302 of my colleaqe was infested with Punaises; (Wanzen;Cimici)
Good location, reasonable price. room was small and quite dark. Some confusion at check in.
the shower wasn't working properly
Comfortable, clean, and close to metro. Staff was courteous, helpful, and friendly. People loudly congregating and smoking in front of building literally all night.
The staff were very helpful. Water flowing down wall from peoples shower in room above.very dusty, they obv have no vaccum.its a gd hotel for roughin it
There is nothing particularly impressive about the hotel. We don't really like the neighborhood and at feel safe at night.
location to train station It was old, poorly decorated, mold in the bathroom and very noisy. The neighborhood was scary.
situation near Gare de Nord wifi is not working
Warm, clean room, price Constant whistle from the central heating
nothing! it was the most awful hotel where I stayed: dirty walls, small rooms, very bad bathroom with old and dirty equipment for very high price. Never recommend this hotel!!! close the hotel or totally renew it
At least it was clean More lie a student bedsit
It is close to RER, Metro other public transportation. Good point for city tour.
Hotel staff spoke good English and were friendly. The beds are comfortable. There was a lot of street noise and noise from other hotel guests in the middle of the night. The beds had worn out blankets. They could be replaced by duvets.
i do't recommend any one to stay in this hotel...& its v expensive for its quality....i took the room for rate of 90 euro...but really 10 euro at max.really low quality hotel...even it was v cold outside..& they didnt operate the heating system....they said after 5 days we will start heating, bad smell for bed...all over very low quality hotel
Stayed for 1 night because of good location (close to railway/subway). Clean room, comfortable bed.
The hotel room was nice and spacious and the people at the reception were pleasant and ready to offer advice. Since the hotel is just opposite Gare du Nord, I could quickly leave my baggage and visit the city. The only problem is that I got a room next to the lift and the lift door bangs. Or maybe its the room doors which can only close with a bang when one exits. So, after midnight sleep becomes a problem. Since I had the misfortune to get a room next to the lift in Brussels just before, I felt I had made up for all these years when I never had to suffer this.
The hotel is located very conveniently, opposite Railway station, Subway and many restaurants around. Bathroom/shower is old, but steamy hot water and good pressure. Have experienced less performance in more expensive Paris hotels. Free channel with "nature movies".... Tiny elevator, holds only 1 person with samsonite. You have to queue if you don't want to drag your suitcase up to 5th or 6th floor.
Near to train station Very helpful manager
Friendly, good location The room smelt of cigarettes, presumably from previous guests...
Close to Gare Du Nord Main Train Station in Paris and free internet The Bath
It's very close to the Gard du Nord for Eurostar, RER and the metro.
Promity to train station right opposite
Near the station nice staff
good service, pleasant staff
The staff of the hotel were friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel was good, metro was only a couple of minutes away. The room was sizable especially given Paris standard. Facilities were old, towels were not quite new.
A good location and reasonablt priced I found the staff were not very welcoming when we first arrived and actually ignored us for a while! Not really very helpful either.
good location, friendly staff a little noisy and smoke from the footpath infront of the hotel when we open the window
good location in safe area
Great location. Nice Staff. Safe & secure. Nice bathroom. Nice balcony. Bedspreads were not clean. Blankets were stained.
Ver warm room and great view of the street It was great the realtion quality/price. Better than I was expected.
Great location, close to metro station, nice room, great staff, it was easy to walk to every nice sight in paris.
Very convenient to the metro. Hair dryer was available in the bathroom. Nice balcony views! Nice lift (though "normal" size for Europe - which means that it is small). Most staff spoke English well (and if they didn't they were able to find someone who did). Honest staff. We stayed in August and had two rooms on different floors. The room on the higher floor was much hotter (there is no a/c) than the room on the lower floor. Ceiling (or even floor) fans would have been nice. The hotel is farther from the Eiffel Tower than we expected. The street in front of the hotel is loud 24/7, so you really can't sleep with the windows open. We saw roaches in the kitchen, so I wouldn't opt for eating there (note that the rooms are clean and we didn't see any bugs there).
very close to metro, in a very good locatiuon. Staff were friendly and spoke english. Room was an ok size for paris. Clean, Quiet even as room was front faceing otel is a little run down and coridors very narrow. Rooms are not well sound proffed (even though I had no noise problems afer midnight). Suitable for one or two nights stay
