Good Hotel, was nice to stay there! Close to the market and metro as well to the city centre.
service value no wi-fi access
The view from the rooms is amazing. The service was really good. We consider the hotels' roof garden with it's great view relaxing atmosphere a great place for food and cocktails. It's close to the center of Athens and we had easy access to the metro(Omonia Station). We highly recommend the Bistro next to the lobby for coffee and evening drink. If you visit Athens and you are looking for a pleasant stay,go to Polis Grand Hotel!!!
The location is great, only 3-4 minutes walk from Omonoia square. The view from the room was amazing, Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill. The bed was very comfortable, and free wireless internet!!! Small thing that isn't worth to mention. The value for money is very hard to beat.
The breakfast and the staff were excellent. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The walls were thin and you could hear your neighbors. The bathroom was very poorly set up. There was no door to the shower so water got all over the floor. If someone was using the toilet and another person opened the door, it would open onto their knees. The toilet paper holder was located in an awkward position behind the toilet...hard to reach. The hotel is located in a rather rough neighborhood.
close to Metro subway. close to Metro, but bad environment. Too laud to sleep. Window sound insulation is terrible.
Polite Reception Stuff. Price! Definetely worn out and shabby, not 4*! Breakfast was of poor choice, and there was too much noice in my room!
Not sure this hotel is worthy of a 4 star categorisation. Room was very small and the shower inoperable
Breakfast was great Room size good Friendly staff Good wifi
Personal muy amigable, eficiente y servicial.
Very good hotel facilities, nice roof garden!! Value of money as a four star hotel.
the food in restaurant the noise in the rooms
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Gave us good ideas on where to go for dinner and booked the restaurant for us.The hotel room was very pleasant and trendy. Our wake up call was late by 20 min. I believe there was a confusion from their side and we got the wake up call when the taxi was ordered for.
Over the top design hotel which makes it a different and fun place to stay. Big breakfast buffet. If you have a design hotel (or any hotel for that matter), maintenance ought to be a high priority. Unfortunately this is not so much the case. The room was fine, but the svimmingpool in the basement was really dirty and worn down. Rather a shame.
Wonderful staff and service, lovely breakfast, great location
Hotel stuff were very reliable, helpful and cheerful. Also, it was a fast-speed internet access in the rooms, that is quite unusual.
the reception is super cute with the mini cooper reception desks and the design of the hotel is very artistic. my room had a batman painting on the wall. not hanging on the wall, ON the wall. well the only thing is that the doors make these weird alarm sounds when u're entering, and the morning of my stay someone's door alarm had gone crazy and i was woken up to have to call the reception to help turn it off.
Nothing The rooms and facilities were not of a 5 star standard as advertised. The surrounding area was not very pleasant.
Location was great, very close to Monastiraki Square for lots of shopping and good eats. Staff was very helpful. Would have loved a pool, but knew we weren't getting that when we signed up. Great value. Would stay here again. Would have loved a pool, but oh well! Everything else was great!
Hotel in the centre and rooms as quiet as on the countryside. Price of the breakfast at EUR 20. I don't eat that much to make up for such an elevated price, so I went out for breakfast.
The decor was really unique.
I did not like the fact that when I booked a triple they said they would not allow my 6 year old son to stay in the room. they considered him a fourth person. he is a very small six year old. to go to a quad, the price went from 135 euro to 260 euro. that is a big jump and I do not feel like the room was worth $416 us dollars for the night.
Comfort/services Outside noise
The service was very good and the people that they work there very friendly.
rhe lobby was cool from 70's The room from 70's too and needs total renovation Should have a pool Still charge for internet And gave no option for late check out.
location no free internet
Great staff Room 245 is a little shabby in the bathroom ie loose taps and tatty ceiling paneling
The location was perfect The hotel promises internet and wifi but once you get there, they tell you that if you want internet in your room you have to pay for it and it is expensive!!! The room smelled of cigarette and the bathroom smelled of stale mold. The staff was impolite, at best, except for Adonis at the front desk, he was extremely courteous and helpful.VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!
The bar/restaurant on the top floor has an incredible view. There really isn't much in the surrounding area for restaurants/bars.
I liked the friendliness of the staff, they were very helpful and on-point for all my requests and questions. The view from the executive suite is amazing, you can take a shower while looking right at the Parthenon! The standard rooms appear much nicer in the pictures provided. Our first room had a view of the "guts" of the building i.e. ventilation units, water tanks, pipes and little to no sunlight. We then requested to be moved to an outside view room and was given to us with no charge. Was a bit better than the inner view room but still nothing like the pictures or our expectations, so I ended up paying 100 EUR extra to be relocated to an executive room that was more than perfect.
The friendliness of the staff especially in the breakfast room. Olive Garden staff very friendly even at 2 a.m. Kyraikos Zinoviou at recepion was exceedingly helpful.
It is well located. from the hotel is possible to walk to all interesting places in Athens
I like very much the olive garden restaurant and food there. and good location of the hotel I didnt like a food at all.
Excellent location, polite and helpful staff.
The hotel is close to metro station Omonia and metaourghio which was very easy for us to move. The breakfast was a great buffet . The street from Omonia going down to the hotel are full of strange people ( seems that they are taking drugs, drinking beers etc. and made us scared to pass the street.
nice room , clean and as expected no wireless or atleast no info about it... and a very very shitty area
Very good location overall good,Staff very helpful and courteous
Very clean, great room. Friendly staff and good location.
Good central position. A perfectly adequate hotel but only for a short stay Poor sound proofing in bedrooms!
? The hotels 3rd floor flooded so they moved us to a different hote. It gave us a different choice of restaurants and was in the graffitied section of town.
Friendly people,Very good for the Greek standards,4 minutes walk from the Metro very good for the price 100% pleased.
The staff was very polite and helpful.
staff were excellent. the overall experience was great.
Location , near to Metro , and a reasonable distance to walk to some of the city sites Breakfast choice was limited
Fairly central, although area between hotel and square a little on the rough side. Staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Price. Own bath/shower. Minibar and closet included in room. The gangs, prostitutes, and neighborhood.
The hotel is close to the main attractions and easy to find. The area around the hotel isn't that nice, but the hotel is just ten minutes away from omonia square with a variety of transportation possibilities. The breakfast was very easy.
Helpful staffs and good position for tourists.
Convienant to the area I was traveling... The person that worked the late night shift was the rudest person I have ever encountered during my travels. He cared more about watching tv and smoking his cigerettes than in helping me or any of my 17 passengers. Terrible!!
receptionist restaurant service
A very fair price for a budget hotel very small bathroom
Nice clean rooms, great breakfast included. Walking distance to the Metro. Best to take a taxi to the hotel first time, but to get to the Metro, walk out the front door, take the small street that empties almost directly into the front door (Stournari), walk 3 blocks or so to 3 September street, turn right and walk 6 short blocks to Omonoia Square. This also avoids the worst sections around the hotel... 10 minutes to the Acropolis by Metro from there. The location is very sketchy. Omonoia is a seedy place at night, full of hookers and druggies. The women did not feel good walking at night. I got pickpocketed (my backpack actually) walking back after dark one day...
good location all days was the same breakfast, there was no variety
Location Elevator. No lock for luggage storage. Staff on differing shifts not communicating. Found out by accident that taxi was coming early due to strike. Desk clerk DID knock on our door because phone not working for wake up. Very small bathroom. Good breakfast. Bed substandard.
the hotel is close to all the historical sites and to the metro station. the hotel room was very small. it was difficult to fit in the double bed. the neighborhood is not safe, you should be really careful at night. the wifi internet connection did not work on our first day at the hotel. we had to ask the staff to change our room because it overlooked a wall and it was pitch black inside the room even during the day.
price is very reasonable staff can smile more
Helpful staff and big rooms. Excellent location but there are some thieves in the area, be careful! Bathroom was small.
I liked the staff, very friendly and helpful. I liked the room and the breakfast was first class. I liked the location and the price is reasonable. Nothing
Very helpful and friendly staff. Pleasant decoration style.Good breakfast. Close to metro station. Good for business trip. Some problem with the water pressure.
Not in a very nice part of town, rather scary leaving or entering specially in the evening. I would not classify as a 4 star
Breakfast could be improved: better orange juice and coffee and some fresh fruit.
Great staff, good breakfast, 15 minute walk to town. Kinda looked sketchy when we first drive into town but really was safe and very clean and nice hotel. And parking just down the street in a garage for $8 a night!
I liked the view out onto the neighborhood and the comfortable atmosphere of the restaurant. It was not far from being in a the wrong neighborhood at the wrong time. For one who doesn't know, it could make him/her/them feel uneasy.
Very comfortable room and good breakfast No mini bar refill
cold floors in the room
In not so good neighbourhood, but this beautiful building hosts a very nice and good value hotel. The bed was very comfortable which is not often the case.
very comfortable beds
Staff is so friendly although they will agree taxi charge upfront with the driver so watch out. And if you are up for being in he centre of red district-go for it!! ;-) Poor breakfast although warm and crusty pastry is making up for it.
The location is good as it is very near Omonia metro station (about 5-10 min walk). However, the staff was rude and not very helpful (esp the hotel manager). The hotel is not service oriented at all and would not go out of their way to assist or pacify unsatisfied customers.
Very near to city center and metro. Nice and good environment as opposed to other hotels in the same area. Guidance on how to visit the city , what to roam around etc. No proactive guidance.
nice location, easy access by metro and walking, but a bit dangerous surounding area. not stabile hot water supply, during bath, it can turn to too hot or cold.
near metro, good location breakfast
It is centrally located in the centre of Athens about 150m walk from Amonia Metro Station. This station also provides easy access to the airport by Metro. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean. This hotel offers good value for money for the relatively inexpensive nightly rates. I would stay here again if in Athens.
very close to the omini station on the metroline and only one change from the airport + direct route to the olympic stadium
The staff were friendly and the location and bar prices were excellent. The fact that they doubled the price of the stay because of the UEFA Champions League Final being hosted in the city.
Hotel was quite OK, good breakfast.
The Room 901 was Much Better than rooms I stayed in other times.
The pool on the top floor is very nice. You get nice views out over the acropolis The are surrounding the hotel is not very pleasant. You can see people shooting up heroin on the streets. The hotel is located on a major road and so the rooms facing the road have quite a lot of traffic noise.
The views from the rooftop were very good as was pool area. Breakfast ok but not good. Very noisy outside. Not particularly good area and quite a walk to main attractions.
Bar, restaurant and pool on the top floor allowing good views across the city I would have liked info on the hotel and its facilities in the room - ie - opening times for bar/restaurant, wifi details etc
For the first time ever, i could barely fit in the shower, they gave me a corner room with views to a wall that was totally claustrophobic. Not staying here ever again.
swimming pool, panoramic vue on the city from top floors.
If you need to be Omonia Square the location is great. It is also a short 1
The staff is very nice and helpful, it was my husband's birthday and I asked them to bring breakfast with some flowers and a birthday balloon, they did it perfectly for just a little extra money. The only thing I didn't like that much was that we had the plan to pay all in cash upon check-out but without notice, they charged the 1st night on the credit card, I think they could have asked if we wanted to do so in the 1st place.
It's fine. The neighborhood isn't great at night. If you aren't selling of buying heroin I'm sure you'll be aok. Granted we are from a city of hookers and thieves and are generally comfortable in urban settings. The bar/restaurant is pretty good. The view is fantastic. The music was very good house music but I think that's because the bartender is a house music Dj. The hotels location is very central. We stayed 3 nights.
close to the center , good connection with metro . Very noisy street - during the night a lot of cars - claxoon - close to the hospital a lot of sirene - neighbourhood looks noty very safe
Handy to most things and walkable to most important sites like Plaka. Breakfast included. Great view from roof. We knew the area was a bit seedy but it wasn't as bad as we had been led to believe. Stick to main roads and you will be fine.
Preis/Leistung stimmt Personal ist freundlich Frühstück hat wenig Auswahl Lage ist nicht die Beste
Low rate, free breakfast Location, leaking shower, hard beds
Location was fantastic with it being close to all the restaurants in Plaka as well as Monasteraki. The rooms were well appointed and the bathrooms were probably the best that my girlfriend saw during our stay in Greece. The rooftop restaurant was world class with awesome views of Hadrien's gate. Highly recommend it. The staff at the reception were great at making reservations and helpful with directions. The gym was quite an insult to the hotel of this calibre. It was located outside with outdated equipment out of which most of them didn't work. If I did not know the area well, then I wouldn't have felt safe going to the gym which was accessible from the outside next to a dark street and parking garage.
The price is right, it's basic and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy. But it's walking distance to public transportation and the sights. Breakfast was good and the bag storage is a very nice touch. The bathroom was a "wet room" with an incorrectly sloped floor. No way to take a shower without creating a pool in the bathroom.
Location near Omonia metro station, one of the three vertices of the downtown triangle (I was told) which encompasses the downtown shopping district. I wish the refrigerator would stay on ALL THE TIME so that food and drink would stay cold while you were out enjoying the town.
It's location No internet connection
Everything worked without problems.
greek tv channels, clear bath-shower-water,clean room every day. buffet-breakfast is very poor.
Near metro station. Staff helpful. Room furniture/decor need urgent attention. Shower screen/taps broken. No tea cofee fascilities in the room although mentioned in the hotel decsription
close to metro station. instead of double bed it had two single.
Very good location, quiet hotel, staff friendly Breakfast is OK, but they need to have real fruit juice and not syrup
Very friendly and helpful staff. We could have our room three hours longer than check out time in order to have a shower after the marathon - free of charge! When I thanked the receptionist for this he thanked me for coming to his country and for participating in the race! And on race day there was a very early breakfast available especially for the marathon runners who had to get up and leave very early. no complaints whatsoever
Position of the hotel, good breakfast The view; in the breakfastroom the air conditioning didn't work first 3 days;
Close to metro. Shops nearby Scary at night. Looks rundown and old
The view from the rooms
Was close to a central square. Until 13:00 rooms was not cleaned and have to ask about it.Breakfast poor and fruits long time on the table got mould and green, cables uncovered in rooms one of the two small elevators half days out of order and all days with sign 'dont press here....danger' i have photos of all these!
Convenient location, next to metro station.Quiet rooms, although facing a busy street. Comfortable rooms. Poor breakfast. At least they should have offered natural juice (and not syrup diluted in water).
The location of the hotel is good. Nevertheless some problems, it is a good hotel with reasonable price for a tourist visit in Athens. In the information for the hotel was written that it has a parking. In reality they have just 2 parking places in the street and there is no chance for the guests to use them. We had a good chance to fing a parking place just near by. But most probably in the high season it will not be so easy. In the info the hotel was rated as 3 stars, but we rate it 2 or max. 2+.
That it did have wireless internet connection. It is however very close to the metro station which has a great connection direct to the ariport and it is very cheap. It is in a very noisy and not very safe area. Not the best place for single female travellers to stay. The breakfast choice was very limited, the bathroom very small and although it says it has been recently refurbished, I did not see where or how, certainly the bedrooms were very dated, although it was clean, so no complaints there.
Poor breakfast, rooms very noisy and the neighbourhood didn't look particularly safe. I have been proposed drugs a couple of time on the street! It's probably worth spending an additional 10€/night for an hotel in a better location in Athens and offering a better service.
Close to the city centre
staff and location in the center of the city it was not clean, breakfast poor and dishes dirty
the hotel staff, they are helpful, kind, their english is good, we had no problems with communication. if we wanted to know something they were always their for us, they did really good work, all of them well it was something, we were 3 in the room, but problem was not the size of the room, the biggest problem was the wardrobe, becouse we had only one small, that's why we were forced to have our clothes in the suitcase for all 12 days, that was the only problem
good location, good price, relatively fast Internet terminal in lobby at a reasonable price tiny shower, room smelled from smoke
New accommodations and very nice surroundings, Picked up at the ferries and dropped of again when we left.
all was said in the answer of the first question. please see my comments in the first question...
The credit card system was malfunctioning when I was checking out which forced me to walk a few blocks to a cash machine. Subbsequently this delay put me behind schedule to get to the airport.
i think the location it was one of the main reasons the fact that there was
Level of the employees Wi-Fi only in the Lobby (always crowded with more than 10 people trying to use internet). This is not acceptable in the level of the hotel.
The rooftop pool, truly outstanding with a beautiful view of Athens. The location, although not a particularly nice neighborhood is close to everything and steps from the metro station. The pool hours (10 am to 6 pm) are too restrictive if you're traveling on business.
the relaxed and friendly atmosphere created by the staff
Central location Bedroom and fittings need a good spring cleaning
Received room upgrade (thank you) and was very pleased with location .... only a couple of blocks from underground and thus good access to sights and airport. Breakfast good - staff helpful !! Athens itself is dirty and polluted - transport strike by underworked and overpaid public servants doesn;t make you feel that you'd want to return anytime soon.
Hotel itself was very nice-rooftop pool overlooking the Acropolis. New and modern facilities, workout room, breakfast room. Front desk staff were very helpful once you got to talk to them. There was always only one person working the front desk so you always had to wait in line for service at busy times. Location was in a questionable area but convenient to subway. Restaurant was rather pricey.
I liked the comfort! The dangerous location
The staff was very courteous and helpful and the rooms were very nice! The pool closed at 6:00PM which was too early if you wanted to enjoy it after a day of seeing the city.
The room and bathroom were beautiful. Comfortable pillows. Great pool and jacuzzi with stunning view. Sundeck equipped with comfortable loungers. Less than 5 minute walk to Omonia metro and 20 minute stroll to Acropolis. Great breakfast (better selection than most London hotels). Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. Pool shuts at 6pm which is far too early. Surrounding area is not the prettiest.
The room was very clean. The continental breakfast was fair and most of the stuff was friendly. It was a very good deal through this website. Rooms 503 and 504 are great. Watch out from tiny bathrooms. At the first day, we got a very small room with a very tiny bathroom,so small that you barly can seat on the toilet casue the tap stuck on your face and no curtain to the bathroom! It was a disaster , do make sure no to get room number 501. Al thought the area was not so nice, we saw needles of drugs on our streets but basically we felt safe as police was everywhere and just make sure that you are going on the main street Konstantin.
friendly staff.....clean room....and most off all a perfect bed
