Beautiful view of Pudong from our big and luxurious room on 30th floor Airco was broken, but we realized too late to have something done about it.
Revovation so main entracne was closed during my stay
the location, the staff and the amenities, most of all the hotel is very modern there was an odor emitting from the bathroom and the water was blue and rough. needed bottled waterto brush teeth
View from window For check-in they required a deposit (extra to room charge). In receipt the currency is not indicated (USD or RMB?)
Excellent room and facility, nice view and location, very clean and comfortable, also reasonable rates Free in-room internet and sooner the nearby construction is completed will be better.
I enjoyed staying at the hotel very much. I had problem with my key. It did not work and I had to wait for someone coming up to replace the key.
Eton hotel (Shanghai) is located at a convenient location, there is a sub-way station opposite the hotel, a 24 hours convenient store next to the hotel and it is not too far from Pudong airport. More important, it is value for money. The receptionist does not accept to the offer price "USD 80.00" as booked, I have complaint to the "officer" and finally they agreed to the price. The check-in took around 15 minutes though I am the only one checking in during that time.
This hotel is located in Pudong. We had about a 10 minute walk to the subway station. The conceirges varied - one was helpful and tried to get tickets, and another was not. The front desk would only provide change for 100 CNY at a time
VERY CLEAN, BEAUTIFUL, LOVE THE VIEW, RESTAURANT EXCELLENT, CONCIERGE VERY HELPFUL, RECEPTIONIST VERY NICE & HELPFUL, ALLOWED US TO DO EARLY CHECK IN, WAS VERY HELPFUL. NO THING, WAS EXCELLENT
The breakfast was nice, the location is ok.
It was a very nice location where was close to a metro station. A metro train getting at the station (Pudong avenue) was a circular line (Line No.4), so, it was easy to access to another line. Breakfast was good (but bit expensive compared with nice eating spots outside the hotel). The restaurant at the 50th floor was slightly disappointed. Normal quality of foods (not so good), but expensive, an unclear view due to dirty windows...
The location was close to the center of Pudong but not in the trafic center. Poor guest room quality.
Nice view from my window. The location indicated in the hotel's webpage does not correspond to where it really is! Far from city center. Bathroom a little bit old and dark.
The roomwas great and hadanice view! The location is not where it says it is. Is not that close to the financial district.
Hotel was fine, clean and rooms had good view of river. Shower in bath even on business levels. But not overly impressed by staffing! Business centre has inadequate number of working computers. The staff had been aware of computers not working properly yet let me experience those difficulties rather than just saying the computers were not working. I subsequently used the computers in lobby area.
The breakfast buffet was lovely
Hotel and staff are ok. I got very early check in. The offer is adequate to the price. The location showed on the map is not correct. The nearest metro station is Pudong Avenue on line 4 - 10 min walking.
- No concierge speaking English, Restaurants, No hot water in shower during peak hours
I liked the hotel from many prospectives: clean and comfortable, conveniently located (especially if you go to Shanghai New Expo). The personnel is friendly and helpful.
The hotel is very clean and room is large. It provides free WIFI. There are free soda/drink and snack in a small refrigerator under TV cabinet. Very good place to stay. About half mile from the close subway. A little walking from the hotel. No free breakfast.

It is 5 minutes walk from the subway station. The hotel is clean and well furnished. The room fits 4 stars rating. It is located in the midst of large residential area. Not too many choices for restaurants and do not have any coffee shops nearby. It is quite far from the major freeway, so expect a little delay on surface road.
This Holiday Inn location was great. It was right in the center of the city. It was clean and eloquent. The staff was professional and helpful. The room was clean and bright. The view was great. Everything is within walking distance, food, metro, taxi The shower head in my room had a leak but it was not a big issue. The shower still worked correctly. I wish you could walk out of the room to the balcony, but it was not extended enough to fit a chair or table. There was a small window in the room.
Nice place. Good people. Surrounding Area not much, however a taxi ride can take you anywhere.
Clean, friendly staff, good location. Business services could be better. Business office should open at 7-7:30 instead of 9:00
Pros: This is a very nice hotel. Amongst the best I have been to anywhere in Asia, in terms of decor, service, and amenities. Free internet, and free minibar (albeit very limited). Cons: Considerably more expensive than hotels nearby with similar amenities. The in-house dining is jaw-droppingly expensive. $20 for a hamburger. $65 for the breakfast buffet. When I had a change of plans, and needed to go to Nanjing for a couple of days, they refused to allow me to alter my prepaid 10 day reservation. I was informed that I should be happy because I could leave my luggage in my room. Management has since apologized, and says that this should not have happened, and will not happen again. They offered me an upgraded room on my next visit. Conclusion: If you are on business travel, and your HR department will spring for the Kerry, go for it, you will not be disappointed. If you are traveling on your own dime, you can get a similar experience for considerably less.
Great location in a quiet area, however cafes and good restaurents just near by i.e. Plaza 96.MetroLine 2 all the way from Pudong Airport to Century Avenue station(10 minutes walk from Hotel). The Hotel is really good as well.
didn't have swiming pool
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. No wireless internet.
Quite central...very good location When booking the hotel through booking.com the total cost was 718$ However this cost does not include the tax .so the total cost should include the taxes !!!!
Service, breakfast, close to subway station
It is a **** hotel. So there was nothing more than promised. Asking for authorization for things which have not yet used is not a good procedure. When you do not accept the authorization, the hotel empties the minibar and takes the internet cable. It is the most annoying thing for a person who would like to experience a comfortable stay. This makes you uncomfortable.
location and helpful staff
exhibition is near from the hotel. some other hotels wifi is free wheras here its chargeable & expensive
The price is phenomenal and their bathroom is impeccable. Absolutely wonderful customer services. Walking distance to subway station. In hotel restaurant which is great for mid night food cravings. Overall, I had a wonderful time there.
I stayed at this hotel and the rooms are western-style and nice. The Internet works excellent and you can connect all the time for about $15 or 20 USD per day, or hourly for slightly less. The Internet never went down on me once in two weeks. You can take a taxi anywhere quickly, easily and be at a fancy restaurant or 5-star hotel restaurant within only minutes. Many local western restaurants will also deliver here for a fraction of what you'll pay at a real 5-star hotel which will not allow external delivery. The hotel is a 8 min walk to the subway which will take you anywhere in Shanghai quick, easy, and cheap. The bar is ok but nothing special; the restaurant is basic and I never ate there instead opting to take a taxi to Starbucks or one of the many western restaurants at neaby lu zha zua or the Grand Hyatt Hotel Jin Mao Da Sha. The front desk staff speaks English for your convenience and there was a money exchange there too. You won't find a better value for the money.
The breakfast buffet was exceptionally good; one of the best I have ever experienced. latte coffee was over priced and not good quality; too weak. No skinny (skim milk) option for the coffee.
Strategic position to reach the city downtown
Good sized room. Slightly old-fashioned but adequate swimming pool. Staff pretty helpful or always tried to be helpful. The price of food and drink in the hotel is ludicrously high. Most of the staff have very poor English which makes it difficult to solve any problems that arise. However their attitude is friendly & helpful in my experience. For most leisure visitors to Shanghai, the hotel is on the "wrong" side of the river - but taxis are cheap.
I did like the in room dinning The staff was not interested in keeping me as a client for the future. The price was not same as in booking.com and nobody did care about it and i had to pay more.
Predictable solid western style hotel No bar or coffee shop open daytime...small pool....location lo g walk from subway
This is an excellent option to hotels. Apartment building with modern facilities. The price is well below most 4-5 star hotels in the area (ask for the corporate rate if you qualify). They could use a few more English speaking staff for the American visitor. I would recommend apartaclass, particularly if you plan to stay longer than 3 nights or if you want to entertain at all.
Great location. When we arrive our room was not ready and the front desk did a double take on our reservation itinerary.
Excelent design, great location, friendly staff most of them. expensive eatting in the hotel, staff need to be more skillful with foreign languages. Even if 9 out of ten staff was great, friendly and polite, just the bad attitude of the tenth was enough to destroy the image of the team.
Good breakfast variety. Reliable internet. Bathroom amenities (soap etc) have improved since last year. Maintenance crew noisy in middle of the night. Wake-up call was an hour late one morning. Showers a bit leaky into the bathroom.
A fairly genuine five star hotel with well appointed rooms including the "standard" amenities, restaurants and facilities. Location in the heart of Pudong's business area suited my needs well. Complimentary WIFI is a bit irritating in the it required constant re-logging on even inside the 24 hour day - none of the various location logins remembers you. The spa is mediocre with relatively poor service and the pool is far from the expected comfortable resort hangout but rather like a small town community pool where you are given a gross looking community bathing cap before entering the water. While I realize that I'm in a foreign country the overall level of English speaking (understanding) in public areas is below expectations for this class of international hotel. A $ 133.00 charge for a 3 hour late checkout.
