The hotel is in a good location with all the top class amenities you'd expect of a venue of this standard. All the staff were very helpful and extremely pleasant. Restaurant staff especially made you feel relaxed and were a good laugh. Have been before and will definitely return.
Welcoming, friendly reception staff. Spacious comfortable room with air conditioning, big bed and beautiful bathroom. Excellent breakfast.
everyone was so freindly and helpful the food was fantastic very clean very modern great choice of wines the rooms were of a very good stanard could not fault the hotel in any way
it was a very clean and staff were so helpful, room was amazing, had a great stay and will be returning.
Close to the pleasure beach. Home from home. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely. Having to go home.
We got what we expected
Big room, friendly service and ease of access to Blackpool Promenade The Breakfast Buffet seemed disorganised as we had to wait nearly half an hour to get a table. When we got to our table, there were many tables not filled around us. They don't seem to be able to have enough staff/tables to accomodate all guests in a full hotel.
The location of the hotel and the parking facilities. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
Overall a very nice hotel, the breakfasts were amazing! The rooms were pretty basic, bedside lights did not work, no batteries in tv/dvd remotes, bathroom linen could have been better (no flannels or bath robes) Very noisey during the night!
the size of the rooms, the staff in the bar very customer focused. the hot ice package very good value for money and excellent breakfast menu. dvd didn't work very well, and there was dust under the tv, when checking package wasn't explained it was only on asking did we find out what was included.
the breakfast would have liked a glass of wine before going out to have tea
Friendly staff and lovely welcome. The room was a bit small and breakfast was only served till 9am!
Cleanliness of room and staff was informed on web their was a pool table, darts etc. This was not the case. Bar not manned all evening
Warm welcome, helpful staff.Comfortable beds. Only stayed for one night but the breakfast was excellent. The bathroom was a bit on the small side.
a fantastic break, very clean rooms, lovely breakfast, great location near pleasure beach.
excellent breakfast, very clean rooms, friendly staff
It was nice, clean and warm and the owners was friendly and helpful. A nice hotel for a short break by the sea. I would stay there again.
The standard of cleanliness was excellent, the staff were helpful and friendly.
Cleanliness of the room and very accommodating Not being able to park close to the hotel
staff were very pleasant high standard in cleanliness also very friendly alround good family holiday break. just off south beach 2 min from pleasure beach and tram stops big thanks to john and jossie for a good weekend
the breakfast and the services
the bedroom was lovely having a queen size room with a table and chairs also there was a lot of light let in from the street as the curtains were not lined but was definatley not a negative point!
the parrot in the bar
available car parking, games room cold, even when heating was on.
lovley amazin staff thorughly enjoyed it room was cold and we had a bit of a complaining neighbour in the room below us shouting abbusive language asking us to be quieter, when in fact we wernt that loud anyway.
Staff were great, breakfast good. Hotel clean. No dinner in the evenings and had to get into town for it. But thats seasonal. Shower a bit weak and tepid. Small things.
We only stayed as bed and breakfast, room was very spacious and the breakfast was excellent
breakfast was lovely, well served and hot the room was very cold
very friendly staff. room was warm and clean. breakfast plentiful nothing!!!!!
The hotel was cosy & had a friendly atmosphere
The hotel was very close to the Pleasure Beach, a nice clean hotel, reasonably priced and children friendly.
The owners made you very welcome
Staff were excellent really helpful and chirrpy. Location. Breakfast. Shower was very poor, room really small and cluttered, bit old fashioned .not much info too hand in way of leaflets etc.
The friendly welcome and the amount of help and advice offered by the owners. nothing was too much trouble for them.
Quiet location ideal for famlies.Close to pleasure beach, sandcastle and south pier. No
room was very nice had been done up recently quite modern comfy room, small but enough room for the 3 of us. Staff were friendly the bar area was nice with a dartboard and pool table to help keep kids entertained. The breakfast was very nice too. All in all a great weekend
It was close to the front, and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are small.
the staff was really freindly and service with our breakfast was excellant really good we appreciate that its a hotel but the people with children didnt give much consideration to us who didnt they were quite noisey and lots of banging doors but overall it was very plesant stay
Friendly staff,good breakfasts
the location was the main point to our choice of the barton hotel, being so close to the pleasure beach, and the train station. the pictures on the web were good representation of the room we got which i was pleased about. overall good weekend away. the view from the room wasn't the greatest, however im not going to lie I didn't spend to much time looking out of it
Kass and Ollie were very friendly and welcoming and even brought our son a gift for his birthday, that was a lovely thought. Nothing, we were happy wth everything
My wife is disabled and the landlord and landlady of the hotel went out of their way to help her, and made sure that myself, my wife and son were all made welcome and comfortable.
the friendliness, cleanliness, great food and value for money. kass & ollie are a lovely young couple who aim to please, you are made to feel at home as soon as you arrive.this was our 2nd visit this year and have booked again for easter.would recommend them very highly.
owners are very friendly and rooms are clean and comfortable
Very friendly and helpful, good location, well presented, good food, affordable Limited parking, small room
owner was very laid back and friendly the only thing was that when I booked through booking.com it stated that I would not be charged anything until i got to the hotel then I would pay for my stay/deposit up front. However when I arrived I found that £60 had been debited from my account without my consent?! Little worrying.
The hosts were excellent, Breakfast was very nicely cooked (not swimming in oil like most full english). Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were cleaned daily, towels changed if required and beds made. I particularly liked the fact that there were no same sex groups so as I expected there was no rowdiness. I would recommend this hotel for couples and families.
The cleanliness of the whole hotel - it was immaculate.
the owner was very friendly and inviting the room was a little small and the shower barely useable
Everything about the Hotel was spot on i suppose the 'best' would be the personnel touch by the owners.Would definately return.
Staff pleasant and friendly on arrival. Buffet breakfast was a bit cold which was mainly down to being served on cold plates, the warm bits were nice though.
The breakfast was nice and hot if you got there early Poorly decorated needs updating.ill fitting windows which rattled all night.not the most comfortable beds.
staff always spoke to you and said good morning etc. bed clean , towels new, plenty free parking spaces cutlery not clean, hash browns cold, windows need replacing, drawers in dressing table stained lined them with poly bags
it was so cold we could not sleep and the breakfast was cold would never stay there again
Room was acceptable and the welcoming from one guy was excellent and warming. Breakfast was nice. Whilst my partner and I were in our room, we could here the television from downstairs as it was too loud and kept us up in the night. Also, the evening meal that we had at the hotel on the last night of our stay was unacceptable, the service was poor as food was served at different times such as the side orders. The food looked uncooked. For the dessert the people who were serving us gave one of us the wrong order, and had to wait 15 mintues for the right one to come. And when the right dessert came it was cold like no effort had been put into it and they were not bothered about your customers. The apple pie was refused and left on the table.
Good breakfast and pleasant breakfast staff. Old fashioned decor, rooms not clean, dirty stains on ceiling and walls in bathroom, shower tray almost overflowed when in shower due to obviously build up in the drain. Most uncomfortable bed ever slept in. Hotelier thought it more important to get payment up front (first thing he asked) than to advise us how to get to our room after giveing us the key!! Got 1 drink at hotel bar after 11 barman asked us if we wanted another drink when we said no he locked up the bar and turned off the lights left us sat in the bar lounge with only the conservatory lights on!
Close proximity of amenities & attractions yet not distractive or excessively noisy car parking space Rooms in need of a facelift but not out of character with similar hotels in the area small en-suite area
nothing hotel was very shabby, room was extremely poor shabby and checking out was the best part my stay
A lady showed us to our room. She was enthusiastic and helpful. In fact, she was so good I'd be surprised if she stays at that hotel! The hotel was dirty, dingy and shabby. Due to the poor conditions and lack of cleanliness we did not stay overnight and went home. We did not want to sleep in the bed let alone eat breakfast there.
the staff were approachable and friendly. the location was good for the pleasure beach and south pier. it wasnt up to the standards as shown on the internet. rooms in need of upgrading. wouldnt go back.
Its very good prices and its perfect location to Pleasure Beach Resort
Friendly Staff, good location nothing bad to report
The hotel was out the way of the hurley burley noise of shopping/nightlife so after our evening out we were guaranteed a good night sleep. The Bed was really comfy and I think l had the best night sleep in ages. Shower was hot and makes a change as in some hotels you only get luke warm. Breakfast was more than enough as I was full up until mid afternoon. Well worth the money in my eyes. It is a taxi ride from the train station though but thats not important as there is trams, taxis etc to take you back up towards centre and taxi we booked was here within 2 mins. Everything was fine
Very friendly, good location and nice breakfast choice Breakfast from 9.00 to 9.30 is a bit late for a family stay as up much earlier and had to hang around.
On arrival to the hotel, I was told that the £20 piund deposit we thought was taken at time of booking wasn't so we had to pay the full amount on the day. This wasnt that much of a problem however as it does state on the website that the money will be taken, it could cause other guests problems if they are having to budget there money!
There were loads of eatting places near by That there was no secure room for bagage after checking out only an area in the front lounge
thought the workers of hotel are fantastic, hotel right next to pleasure beach and 2 mile walk to centre but was nice to walk along the sea front and shops. the beds were very soft and the bath rooms were small, found the hotel cold and was kept awake during night as so cold. but did have a fantastic stay and was nice to come back to room in evening and relax and the staff made us soo welcome and bar prices there were fantastic
very friendly breakfasts lovely the parking is horrendous and we went out of season luckily the owners did let us park in their space the first day but space was taken second day and had to drive round looking for parking
Landlady very helpful made you feel at home. Also very close to all the promenade. Difficult to park.
Staff really welcoming and friendly was under the impression that there were parking facilities and there wasnt any so had to park quite far from the hotel
Welcoming friendly courteous man, happy to supply things that werent in the room. Lovely view from room. Only 1 small towel supplied. Room had litter & dust under beds.Bathroom ceiling tile loose, blind panels missing, windowsill dirty. No teaspoons. Breakfast - food not freshly cooked, orange juice very watery.
Friendly staff and a good location, far enough away from the town centre to be quite peacefull. Very good location for anyone wanting to spend time in the Pleasure Beach. Fire alarm going off at 4am, probably due to a guest returning from the night clubs and having a smoke. Alarm cancelled very quickly.
did not enjoy the stay never met the owner didnt have proper heating or hot water, no tv no breakfast no bar no restaurant. as above
Good friendly staff, Lovely breakfast. Rooms abit small, View wasn't the best looking into another room.
The parking! Had 3 different rooms, 1st one was wrong booking and given a double rm, second the window seal was non existent and room freezing 3rd room ok, although television not working, shower barely warm with no power, sweet wrappers on floor.
the room was good size beds comfey was ok
None No one about to even check you in had to wait for breakfast we all felt a bit silly just sitting in the dining room till someone noticed we were there .
The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly, always on hand if you had any problems.
Car parking Small room sh ower needed a very good clean. Breakfast poor.hotel also smelt of cigaretes and smoke this is not a good advert for the hotel
Very friendly owners and excellent location on Blackpool prom beside south pier and very close to pleasure beach - but not noisy. Catered well for extra young children. No private parking and empty spaces on-street were difficult to find - although we did stay during Blackpool's busiest weekend of the year so probably not an issue most of the time.
The hotel was very friendly, comfortable and clean. It is in an ideal location for the pleasure beach. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning.
Owners were lovely very helpfull and pleasent. Very clean hotel The breakfast was only small
staff very friendly, excellent breakfast
we liked best the friendliness of derek and rhianne who own the wilmar it was like home from home the breakfast was exellent and service was faultless rooms were very clean chocolates and water in the room was a nice touch for when you arrived nothing was to much trouble for them they made us feel really welcome that we have booked for next year and are looking forward to our return we didnt stop long enough thats hoe good it was
I enjoyed staying at The Wilmar Hotel very much and found Derek and Rhianne very nice kind and considerate people who were more than helpful to me and made my stay enjoyable. I will highly recommend their hotel for any singles or families visiting Blackpool in the near future.
Friendly atmosphere and made to feel welcome by the hosts. Rooms were clean and well serviced. Wide choice of breakfast. Very handy for pleasure beach and other attractions.
everything, it was a very welcoming, comfy stay.
the couple who run the hotel are both helpful and friendly and make you feel at home. nothing
Great location - a 2 min walk to the pleasure beach. Very friendly and welcoming owners who take a pride in their business. Warm, clean and comfortable rooms. Fantastic breakfasts with lots of choice. If you are looking for a true Blackpool experience this is it!
excellent friendly service
