The view from the rooftop bar was amazing For the expensive room rate, I was shocked by a couple of things: - there was no free/included wifi - there were mosquitoes in the room. is it terribly hard to install screens? - there were stains on the wall from mosquitoes being squashed/killed - service was just OK One night is not enough time to take advantage of the amenities you're paying for.
not too much. I must say I am totally disappointed with my stay. I selected this particular propert because they had stated that they do have SPA facilities in the hotel. On the arrival we had been told that kids are not allowed in the SPA and, moreover, we need to pay extra for entering the SPA. I was not stated here in the hotel policies and the bookling representative told tha Hilton fills the data on booking for themselves. Hilton guys were saying just the opposite thing.
Beautiful views of The city of venice, good free connections to Venice. Was not made to feel welcome, we had two small children, and felt this was a business hotel first and foremost. Although this was my partners and my Honeymoon, we have no childcare. So had to take our children long, there was no effort to make this a memorable stay, even though I had made them aware well in advance.
The staff are very helpful and friendly The room was right in front of the pier of the hotel and during the night it can be very noisy. They should improve their windows for better soundproofing.
I was a pleasant trip thanks to the Hilton. I received the best service. And has provided me a beautiful view of Venice. If you go to Venice, I will go back to the Hilton. Thanks for making my travel special. Thank you :-)
Staff were very helpful
Location Free shuttle Cleanliness Would stay here again Heard people walking upstairs most of the night Concierge gave me different answers when I asked the same question Long wait for shuttle boat
- Clean. - Comfort. The Location.
Location The room was not clean at check in. Used amenities. 1 sopa for 2 persona. A lot of mosquitos. Very small shower.
The building is fantastic and the room was very comfortable Venice is not famous for bellboy service, it's the second time we stay there and carry the luggage to our room.
The location was nice, just opposite the most attractive part of Venice on the mainland, with complimentary shuttle circulating 2 times/hr all day long. This was quite convenient for sightseeing. Lack of technical maintenance. As for a this class of hotel, too many things (especially in the bathroom) were fixed provisionally (e.g. tightened with toilet paper or just hanging loose, not to touch), so that on several occasions I found myself staring with confusion at some loose piece of armor in my hand. Each day we had problems with entering the room and had to report at the reception for re-coding our keycards. Getting to a TV channel of interest on the hotel TV was a challenge on it's on (perhaps this was faulty remote, but seems rather to be something wrong with the hotel TV menu).
Rooftop Restocking the room
the place is not five stars it s three stars. The terrace is not covered so the birds take all your food, the bathrooms are tiny and the water spills all over, the internet slow.
friendly staff, excellent breakfast (very nice terrace!), nice room (though a bit small), good design,
The best hotel in Athens. We ended up eating both at the roof top Restaurant and Main follow breakfast room and had excellent food, service and views. Highly recommend! Surrounding neighborhood wasn't very upscale
i like the design of the hotel and the staff were very friendly and very helpful No
kindness of the staff they where working in our hallway with more than 5 persons, ceilings opened etc.
Good location. Staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast excellent. Service always readily available. Room small & expensive for what it was. Air conditioning iffy.
Very central location to all that Venice offers and yet the right side of the Grande Canal to get away from all of it and unwind. Right next to Salute water taxi stop. Room was fabulous and staff were very attentive
Fantastic hotel with a stunning location in Venice.
I thought the hotel staff was extremely pleasant and accomodating. Everything was terrific, however, there was one item to note. One evening while sitting in the bar lounge we ordered an appetizer. For 30 Euro's we got what one could only describe as a match-stick sized spring roll. I thought the portion and price were not consistent. However, the breakfast bar was fantastic.
Very quiet room and very stylish/modern interiors. Breakfast was very good, too. Not particularly
location,design,very friendly staff nothing
Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent and quiet location, well equpped and comfortable room with a beautiful view Bathroom on the small side
Location (quiet away from the tourist throng), large room (we booked a suite) and the view across to the Piazza San Marco. The hotel run a free shuttle which runs between the Palladio and the Palazzo Bauer Hotel. Price. Then again, Venice is expensive all round.
The breakfast was wonderful and the service was very personal - the concierge personally showed us up to our room, which made us feel like we were the only ones staying the hotel. The service was also very prompt - we left the room in the evening for 5 minutes and came back to find our bed already turned down for us. The location was excellent, too. Although you must get on the vaporetto to reach tourist attractions, the island of Giudecca is so quiet and peaceful - it is well worth hopping on the vaporetto a few stops - plus the station is literally right in front of the hotel.
The architecture and the friendly staff The spa seems to be a myth. Dont go on the hotel organised tour of glass 'factory' at Murano, instead visit yourself with 42 public boat.
Good hotel, far from the attraction but there are shuttle for the other side where the attractions are. The shuttle every 30 mins until midnight The staff are professional but rude somtimes.
The Garden view The room service should be avaliable until the mid night
Friendly & Helpfully Staff.Hotel Building with a difference. The Gardens & Peace & Quiet Good transport links & so close to all the amenities. Private boat across the Canal Some of the Carpets appeared old and sad. On arrival from the Airport not be able to find the gate to the private boat at the sister Baur Hotel. Had to go by water bus which went all around the canal before recching the opposite bank.
The hotel was clean and beautiful. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable of their town so they could tell us the best places to go. We had dinner 1 night in the hotel dining room and it ws one of the best meals we had on our trip. Our stay was totally enjoyable.
The location Lighting in the room was very poor. One could not read. The customer service was terrible
Great location on an island opposite St Mark's Square (free shuttle to St Mark's Square takes 2 min), very quiet yet an ideal starting point for walks in the city or trips to other islands, great views, rooms very clean and in excellent condition, very attentive staff, charming garden
The best personal service I have ever encountered -wonderfully helpful staff No
Breakfast was excellent. The courtesy boat to and from Venice was a great bonus.Staff were very pleasant and helpful
A beautiful, luxury villa in a perfect location in Venice. The upgraded room was such a treat and the morning concierge was so helpful. Unfortunately, we didn't realize the drain in the jaccuzi tub didn't work and by the time they fixed it, it was too late to use
Everything. The room was exceptional in every way. The hotel itself was truly amazing and in a fabulous location. You werent too close to the tourist areas in that you had the peace and quiet, but in easy walking distance to the tourist areas - I truly had the best of both worlds. The staff were brilliant also.
location right on the Grand Canal by vaporetto stop and traghetto crossing the price of the room was very high for its size and outlook
Absolut extraordinary hotel . It is a must if you se Venice . Great Location, and the building is in great condition . 10+ for this hotel . I would recommned this to any one . Great Experience
The position of the hotel beside the grand canal. The decoration of the entrance hall. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was rather small for the price of the room and windows looked out on very narrow canal. Prices are expensive in Italy but we felt that the hotel we stayed in in Bologna was much better value for money.
The location on the Grand Canal was very nice. They had a beautiful patio there. There was also a waterbus stop just at the hotel. The room for which I paid over $400 per night was a small cell with a very high window which was useless. Told me this was their "standard room." For 50 Euro more they found me a "superior room". It had a window, but looked over a flat rooftop into a wall. Find out about the room before booking.
,staff, adjacent vaporetto stop, location, style. poor lighting inroom
Everything - Terrace on the Grand Canal
Perfect access to Ca Rezzonico vaparetto stop- about 25 metres from hotel door. Elegant beautifully presented rooms in a well refurbished Palazzo. where everything was new and well appointed. The internet acces was out of order for 3 days during stay. The rooms had very high-tec features and no instructions provided, e,g, jacuzzi in bath and room temperature control.
The most elegant hotel we ever stayed at. Authentic renovation, beautiful decoration, attention to detail, exquisite breakfast. Truly a 5 star establishment. N/a
Beautiful building in a very good location. Fairly quiet, but reasonably close to centre. Very friendly and helpful staff, and a well designed triple room which afforded more privacy than many.
The staff are truly wonderful, and the rooms are very nice. We also loved the location of this hotel, only a short walking distance from the Accademia waterbus stop.
Breakfast taken seriously - a pleasant well furnished room -staff dressed in impeccable whites -location -good as being near Accadenia bridge , it is well placed for easy access to both sides of the city TV set up was too complicated to use -but we would not have used the facility to any great extent
Very helpful and friendly staff, and nice morning breakfast! A little expensive considering the size...
Very central.Comfortable and clean. Excellent breakfast. Good value-for-money.
The staff were most welcoming and helpful. The location was excellent - next to a relatively quiet canal and far enough off the main tourist drag to be peaceful, yet only a two minute walk from Accademia Bridge, so within easy reach of all main attractions. We paid extra for a room with a canal view, which was delightful. A pre-dinner glass of wine on the balcony was an ideal and enchanting way to relax after a tiring day of sight-seeing. Tea/coffee making facilites in the room would have been a bonus.
Location is great. Computer in lobby for internet connection. Would appreciate them adding a workout room... 2-3 treadmillw and some free weights would be adequate with a TV to watch while exercising. Printer for the internet connection and add a second computer station as we often had to wait over 30 minutes to check our email and airline bookings, etc.
The breakfasts were very good and the location was excellent. The room decor was lovely.
The quiet area and its proximity to local attractions. The buffet breakfast was awesome too! My room was rather small. Could have been bigger. When I asked if we could upgrade when we checked in, the guy didn't want to bother and told us to ask the morning shift.
The room was absolutely spotless and very handy to Accademia bridge Not really too much to do around the area of this hotel without walking to San Marco/Rialto etc
The hotel is well situated in a quiet location on a secondary canal but close (2 minutes walk) to the Grand Canal. Our room was to the front overlooking the canal. If all rooms arent it is worth asking for this. It is a beuatiful location and outlook. The room and bathroom were smallish but perfectly adequate. The staff, especially at reception, were friendly and helpful.
location Room was too cluttered with furniture. Hotel wants to sell everyting (eg wifi access)
Beautiful location, good staff, very nice hotel Very poor hair-drier
Pensione Accademia meet all my expectations. The smallish single that I had was comfortable, well appointed and had everything that I needed after the willing staff made some requested furnishing changes. The staff went out of their way to please and make me comfortable. The pensione is located nicely on a smaller canal just before it runs into the Grand Canal. There was some disturbing early morning horn blowing from barges passing by my window turning into the Grand Canal from this smaller canal. Otherwise my room was mostly quiet except for some room to room sound. The wall separating my room from the next could be better sound proofed.
The facility was very clean and confortable. Great location near major tourist attractions (15 min walk from Piazza San Marco) The staff was very friendly and helpful with any queries we had. They booked a baroque concert for one night and informed us about discounts in a couple local restaurant/bar. The breakfasts were very good with a variety of options for everyone's taste... and excellent price considering that it was right during the Carnival and for Valentine's day weekend. We had a lovely stay and will definitely recommend this hotel.
Friendly and professional staff, quiet and comfortable room, very clean, hearty breakfast. This hotel is located in Dorsoduro, which is quieter and less crowded than the San Marcos or Rialto areas, where most of the attractions are. However, an able bodied person can easily walk to these areas and can even walk to the train station if needed. Plus, there are many good restaurants nearby. This hotel appears to be well managed as evidenced by its well disciplined staff and orderly facilities. Very glad I stayed here. Nothing.
The room was beautiful, breakfast great, location fantastico! Climbing three flights of stairs
Excellent staff and location, nice and quiet. Short walk to major attractions. Lovely garden and courtyards, with its own boat docking, (excellent for taxis). Views of canal from room. Beautiful dining room and lounge, very Venetian. check out time of 12 which is nice. will use again. no lift, so stairs only, but porter carries your luggage
We loved everything about this aristocratic hotel. It was so photogenic, quiet, and beautiful. We found our room to be comfortable and lovely. The breakfast was in a elegant room full of antiques, The food was very good with great coffee, juices, fruits, breads, eggs, etc. The location was away from the mobs of tourists but easy to get to,and it was easy to walk or take the vaporetto to other parts of Venice. We arrived by the Alilaguna at the Zattere stop. It was then a very easy walk of about five minutes to the hotel. We departed by water taxi from the front courtyard. The Accademia area around this hotel is interesting and there is so much to explore. It is scenic and much quieter than the St. Mark's area. We loved everything!!!
I liked the location on the Zattere very much and the traditional atmosphere of a small elegant Venetian hotel. There was nothing I disliked during my week-long stay.
The staff was very friendly and informative. They quickly tell you about the facilities of the hotel as soon as you check in, and give you a map of the city identifying the key lamdmarks and places to visit. The ambience of the hotel was excellent! Directions to the hotel from the nearest drop-off point, which is the Accademia.
Restaurant meals were good. Availability of a drink after getting lost for hours. Quiet at night. No blind on my room. Neither TV nor safe worked - if I had wanted to use them. If not for being fortunate to find a 'local' in the street - it was after dark, I would not have been able to find the hotel after the trip on the Water Bus.
the view, the courtyard air conditioner didn't work-night staff wasn't helpful in getting it to work
This is very nice little hotel in a very quiet area of Dorsoduro near to the ferry stop at the Salute. We had a large room with bathroom in the Annexe this time. Some years ago we stayed in the main hotel. The dining room is open for lunch and dinner and the inclusive breakfast was good. We would certainly stay again. It is not expensive by Venice standards. There was nothing to dislike about the Messner.
It was very easy to find - very clean
Close to water bus
Excellent location, quet in the evening but very close to main attractions. Breakfast could have been a bit more varied, but okay.
The position of the hotel in the city and the breakfast. The shower tub had a bad drain
Everything was OK They have to do something against mosquito like blu light or net on the windows
for a family there were 4 proper beds lighting in room was very poor - needed air conditioning - free internet access would have been nice
Dispite previous reviews, I emailed the Hotel and was given the easiest directions to follow, perhaps others should have tried this. Breakfast was good, always topped up, great mini bar at fanastic prices, room was fabulously clean and well maintained, staff were both helpful and informative, even to the point of booking restaurants (a must for the most popular), even on departure, due to an early start the night porter made tea and coffee before we left. You may read other reviews slating the TV channels, IE no english channels, but if you are intending staying in your room in Venice to watch the TV, then stay at home, because you are wasting your money. If you are concerned about the location, as I was, don't be, its only 4 stops from St Marcs, and 25 mins from Pizza de Roma and surrounded by 3 or 4 great value resturants. Highly recommended. Would I stay there again??? Most definitely!!!!! Absolutely nothing to complain about, fabulous from start to finish.
Excellent location in a residential neighbourhood, very quiet, yet very close to the main islands of Venice - close to the vaporetto stop which will take you to San Marco Square in less than 10 minutes. Clean rooms of decent size, staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is minimal
Position and staff Would have liked free wifi in the rooms as well as lobby.
good price quality ratio, nice and quiet away from the crowd, yet still close to Venice itself. Good breakfast service, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice room with view on canal. Close to ferry to bring you to Venice Shower was rather tiny. Ceiling of lobby was very low so when you're tall you cannot walk straight up.
Wooden beams in the room made it very homely. Guidecca is easy to get to from the main island and away from the hustle and bustle. also there is a very nice restaurant on the way to the Palanca vaporetto stop. The staff are very nice there.
I enjoyed the location, and the staff was very accommodating. The room was spotlessly clean and (with the exception of the night and morning noises from the adjacent room's toilet) it was very quiet and peaceful. The window has a wonderful view of the canal. I was warned that Giudecca (the island) was not a good place to stay because it takes so long to travel to Venice, but that's simply not true. I never had to wait for more than five minutes for a trip to Venice. I should also mention that the price of a room at the Hotel Giudecca was substantially lower than rooms on Venice. The island itself is quieter and calmer. The hotel's breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. Wifi only works in the lobby. What traveler wants to be limited to that tiny area? Who wants to conduct private business like banking online while surrounded by strangers? It's an unsafe and inconvenient practice. And even there the reception for the wifi was spotty. I would suggest better wifi for the modern traveler. This might be a cost-prohibitive "fix" to make, but if-- like I do-- you have business to transact online while on vacation, you'll want better connectivity to the internet. My single room was organized so that the head of my bed was up against a wall with a door to the next room, and it was pretty clear that right on the other side was a bathroom as I could hear the occupant's "rituals." In spite of these issues, though, the hotel is an excellent value.
The Hotel was great! Nice design, welcoming personell, excellent brekfast!
The helpfulness of staff, buffet breakfast. I didn't like the way their internet was set up.
feel at home
fair price and comfortable facilities
Fantastic location - nice area - good restaurant - friendly staff.
Good location, friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel.
Location excellent: easy to get to and from hotel and the restaurant on the canal is a wonderful place to eat as you can watch all the activities on the water. As the sun goes down it becomes even more spectacular. Good vegetarian food available. Great pastry chef, I recommend the biscotti.
Good location, handy to vaperetto stop and in a nice area, not too touristy. Very friendly, helpful staff. Room was very basic - blinds didn't fully shut, shower so was tiny you could barely turn around and tv didnt work (not that you need it in Venice!) But for the price in Venice it wasnt bad and worth it for the location and the lovely garden for breakfast.
central location. Small outside breakfast area.Friendly and helpful staff. It was a small, family-run business and they got to know us during our short stay there.
reasonable price for the services provided; tasty cappuccino and espresso in the morning In the middle of October it is cold in the bathroom.
The overall service levels provided was fairly satisfied. There is no elevator, so we had to drag our suitcases up the stairsroom. The hotel rooms have a musty smell to them and tend to be dark and dirty.
Staff friendly & helpful, breakfast good, room big enough to stay three people. Really quiet to sleep at night. Just a little far away from railway station especially when pulling heavy baggages.
Very friendly staff and great location. Along our street there were a very nice restaurant and blues bar with attentive and polite staff. The rooms were comfortable without being spectacular.
location, comfortable bed, convenient bathroom, helpful staff
A very nice Hotel, nice continental breakfast with chocolat cake, blueberry pie, meat, cheese, yoghurt, toast, fresh orangejuice and fruit. The little closed garden was perfect, you could eat beakfast there in the morning. The hotel staff speaks excellent english and there is free internet in the lobby, plus you can get very cheap vouchers for the gondola's! when you walk two streets further you can gross over the grand canal with an italian "thaghetto" ( this is a small boat wich takes you to the other side of the canal) it only costs 0,50 eurocents!!! Very nice bathrooms also in the hotel, though the one in our room was very small. plus the hotel isn't that far from the Piazza le Roma ( bus station) only a 10 minute walk across two bridges. It's a 15 minute walk from the railwaystation Santa Lucia, but you have to cross 3 bridges. We had the best stay ever! the only thing that wasn't so nice was the fact that there where a lot of stairs in the hotel, but this is in every hotel in italy because of the flooding that accurs every once in a while. that's why most Italian hotels and houses start from the first floor. but they also have rooms on the ground floor so it's also good for elderly people, you just have to ask!
We appreciated the free use of internet in the room off the lobby as well as the storage of our bags before check-in and after check-out. The staff was very kind and friendly. Breakfast was basic, but the coffee was served fresh to order which was a plus. Also, the location was great because it was outside the chaos of the main areas, but still close enough to everything. Unfortunately we did not have control of the air conditioning in our room and we were not able to use the TV.
The room was very basic but adequate for a one night stay, the beds were comfortable, and the price was right, it was a little difficult to find. They need to uimprove on the names of people, they had ours with my first two names, and no surname, we managed to find our own name on the list, and we spoke to someone else who had the same trouble
Coldness. No heating facilities at all.
Breakfast was good. No plugs in washbasin and bidet. Communal bathroom run-down.
Staffs are good and they are so kind. The place of hotel was good for us we use boat for transportation to the hotel and the boat was good for us to see the Venice night. Moreover breakfast was good We liked it. On the other hand, in the room there was so humid and it was cold. There aren't bathroom and toilet in the room.
Nothing. That was terrible experience. We travelig a lot about everywhere and that was one from the worst!!!! Specially price and pictures sugest good quality room and service. Manager did not care about my request, about quiet room and gave us only room with viev on noize restaurant!!!! And did not wonted to hange it...
Good location, most of the important buildings of venice in the imediate vincinity. Leakage in the roof of the hotelroom. The sheets where not refreshed. Dusty room. Dirty shower.
Excellent location, only 10 mins from St Marks Square (1 stop on water bus). Great breakfast.Well worth the money
The atmosphere of the hotel was excelent. Personell was very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was very poor.
Nice location and nice breakfast No tv in room
Good location, friendly staff. Breakfast is very basic, no cereals etc. only bread rolls, wrapped filled croissons and spreads. One lady is catering to all guests (and doing a good job). Rooms should have safes (these days electronic safes are less then 100 euro)
The location of the hotel was fantastic - away from tourist hell but near enough to walk anywhere. The rooms were incredibly clean and although basic in style - the towel rail was a god send for wet clothes and shoes! The hotel is very basic. It is clean and the rooms themselves were well decorated but it did feel like we stayed in a glorified hostel.
helpfull staff, decent location in a quite area close to the Santa Lucia train station, nice rooms Nothing
The hotel is very nice and clean. Good location, near the bus station and vaporetto-station.
The lobby and breakfast area needs to be renovated. Hotel staff informed us that it was a non smoking hotel however we could smell smoke in our room and in the hallways.
The hotel is close to local bars so it's perfect for those wanting to go out and live Venice's nightlife. And it's in a quiet area at the same time.We really enjoyed our stay and staff was helpful. No complaints at all.
The hotel is beautiful and very nice No elevator
Position was very good. Room was acceptable. Very rude and unfriendly staff. Dirty bathroom. Dirty reception areas. Dangerous (and dirty) steps to first floor.
The small hotel nothing
Very friendly and efficient staff. Very beautiful building. Easy walking distance to city centre. Rather too warm in the bedrooms.
Very high quality, great reception + staff Once in the hotel - which is appropriately priced, everything was too expensive. For example tea & coffee, drinks food. It simply does not represent value for money and these prices reflected the hotel's expectation that if we paid a lot for the room, we'd pay a lot for basic food & drink. Because of this, we won't return.
room too small for two people.
The staff's friendliness and the location. Wireless internet would be nice. I would have liked more selection at breakfast.
The hotel location provided nearby access to a part of Venice with a residential feeling while still being fairly close to the vaporetto stop. Way overpriced-- even for Venice. Everything was skimpy and shabby from the breakfast to the towels to the lobby furniture. Over a 5 week trip covering 12 cities in Europe, this was the highest price we paid for a hotel and yet it was the shabbiest hotel with the fewest amenities.
There was a nice àuthententic descrete professional ` feel` about the hotel although a bit dusty. Fresh flowers everyday in the reception and just one single smile from the personal would have made a great difference. The entrance is dark and dusty with old Londoner chairs, so old you can not sit in them. The breakfast was very poor, bread that was dry (one each´) and on good days a crossaint to share, no fresch fruit, no nice new baked bread, no cheese. We chose to go to a bar afterwards to have a real breakfast. In our hotel room (very very small on top floor) we did not have pressure on the shower water two days. No desk in room so you could do a bit of work. The hotel entrance space itself could be made so nice dooing a few things like a little more lighting in ceiling, new furniture, fresch flowers. Main space at top floor was nice to look at although tapestry (fake) frescoes in cieling. Nice window to the canal - this could have been a nice place in the evenings to sit and have a chat if it was furnished in a lees monumental and more comfortable way. It was like the hotel was something once but they have fogotten to be present in a modern world.
The location is wonderful. Heating system and air conditioning are not interchangable. Seriously uncomfortable.
A stylish and comfortable hotel well located but away from the crowds - helpful staff - good breakfasts Nothing!
The hotel staff could not be more helpful with any questions I had about Venice. The location is excellent for access to the shopping areas and St Marks square just over the Accademia bridge. The rooms did not have tea making facilities but this did not detract from our stay.
very conveniently located. helpful, efficient staff. big room, very nicely appointed. the price--our frinds stayed at anotherhotel in the sme area that was very nice but much less expensive
Reception staff very helpful. The breakfasts were very good and having breakfast al fresco was very pleasant. The hotel has been open for 7 years and is at an age when some of the fittings and decorations need renewal or attention. The air conditioning in our room was a little noisy, one of the bathroom lights did not work, and the much-vaunted 'sunrise alarm clock' did not illuminate. There was a 'funny' with the lift doors which meant that sometimes it got stuck on one of the floors, resulting in some long waits. On one day the chambermaid did not leave spare toilet paper.
great location - near the main attractions but quiet rooms very dark although very comfortable.
Attentive and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Room next to lift and some noise when in use. General room lighting a bit low.
beatiful art deco style with spa bath and very convenient to water vaporettos -not cheap but very luxurious
Staff very helpfull, room large and clean, design and confortable, very quiet, ideal location, pleased by the welcome ( bottle of Chamapagne!)
Friendliness of staff, room and facilities No
The staff make this hotel exceptional. They are friendly, knowledgable, and focused on making your stay enjoyable. The breakfast buffet and evening happy hour were exceptional. You may think being a distance from Piazza San Marco is a negative. Just the opposite. The location is perfect. Away from the very crowded center yet close enough to easily (for Venice) get to all the must-see areas. Highly recommend this hotel. There was nothing we did not like.
Nice and spacious room, new bathroom, nice view. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Air conditioning functionig very good. Easy to find, not far from bus terminal. In general, very nice small lovely hotel.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room spotless. Location very handy to bus station and in a nice area. Felt very safe walking around area even late at night. Breakfast delivered very punctually to room. Would definitely stay there again. Some noise from guests upstairs - creaky floors or some people are just very heavy footed. Steep stairs - no lift but this seems to be typical of venice.
Perfect location and very friendly helpful staff Our "honeymoon suite" only had a bath - no shower.
We liked the location. It was close to the ship and bus terminal. We had trouble finding it. It needs a larger sign that is visable from the street. We would have liked at least one English TV station.
The location is brilliant. Breakfast is nothing to speak about - coffee, tea and a bun is not really breakfast but the location made up for this.
Excellent value, we got a free upgrade to the 'honeymoon suite' which was lovely so dont know how big the standard rooms are but ours was fab. Hotel staff v helpful in giving us ideas for where to visit, nice breakfast delivered to room. Overall exellent and got far more for our money than epected to in Venice.
Quiet place, good beds, big rooms, some rooms have a nice view to the canale. like many things in Venice - also hotels are very expensive, no price reduction for children ;-((
