Clean room, great view. Concierge was very helpful. Not right in city center but very easy to catch the underground. Parking fee was out of sight. Was excited they had a pool but did not use it cause it was so stuffy and no air flow in the pool.
What you expect from a 4-star hotel. A little out of center, but near a subway station and supermarket. Getting to the center is fast and easy. Internet connection is expensive. If you are on business, expect the surprise. Also, automated mini-bar that charges to the room as soon as you remove something. I removed everything to use it as a mini-fridge, and got a hefty surprise when checking out. However, the staff was friendly and said this happens a lot. The situation was corrected.
Good comfortable hotel. Convenient quiet location (a couple of minutes from metro station, 10 minutes to arrive to Marienplatz). I would advice it more then popular location near central railway station which is really disgusting. Swimming pool was nice.
Everything is close to you when you are at this hotel. The staff are super friendly. The hotel is big and well maintained. Parking spots are all over the place. There are so many facilities by itself in the hotel building. The metro station is 5-7 mins walk away. No free internet. You get charged an arm and a leg for an hour's worth of use. The only place that you would find Internet is in the lobby. Which is not comfortable.
I was in that area for a Doctor's appointment. The best thing was me sleeping! The shower head hose leaked. The room was too warm when I arrived, but I just opened the balcony door, so not really a problem.
large room with seprate living room with kittichen old fruntiture with bad cleaing( no daily carpet vacuming and never cleaned under the bed) kittchen cost 100 euro regardless of how long you stay
The staff. The location. The room was weard down. Need some redecorating !
It was a pleasant stay at the hotel. clean room, extremely helpful staff and a great view of the city, although the balcony had an awful net surrounding the exterior part of the balcony. I definitely suggest this hotel for a stay in Munich. The hotel is situated far from the city center, although 10 min walk from the closest train station, and the around area is a bit scary at night time. although the general hotel services were fairly nice the jacuzzi was not working and as we found out, they were not working for a long period of time.
THE STAFF, breakfast and the room & view the pool was out of order
Room is good more standard than superior. Spa and sauna on top floor very nice and relaxing. I had to go twice down to reception to have my electronic key getting to work. Very unpleasant with all of your luggage up and down from the 12th floor!
beautiful rooms, very good staff, friendly.
Quite, confortable. The price for the season was expensive.
The bed and pillow were very comfortable The lobby area was not too attractive.
Location: too far away. Bit of an old run-down hotel, definitely too expensive
it was my only bad experience in my life, its the worst hotel ever I don't think that I will ever stay in holiday inn. very bad quality of service no body was there in the reception I was looking for some one to help even when they so me no one even look at me no hospitality at all, cleanliness of hotel is very bad with bad smell every where in the hotel, its was old hotel never been renewed even the elevators small bad smell.
the fact that i didnt had to wait till 3pm for check in
It was clean, quiet, the reception staff was very nice; they also have bikes for you to borrow, which you can check out for the day and ride across town. We were stuck at a metro station at night with no means of transportation, we called the hotel and they sent us a taxi cab right away. It is not exactly downtown, and you need to walk 10-15 minutes (depending on how fast you walk) to the underground station, but they do give you a small map and explain how to get to the station from the hotel; and with the underground it only takes around 10 minutes or so to get downtown.
The fact that they charge an incredible high price for the brakfast that should be included
Bikes awailable to use, excellent! Good and friendly service both at the reception and breakfast. We had to wait until two o'clock to get the room. No chance for late check out, eventhought it seemed that hotel was not full booked like it was said (not so many people at the breakfast). Room was also rather small but modern and clean.
Convenient for Munich Airport & Exhibition Centre. From the Airport you can save 30 mins. by getting off the train at Johanneskirchen which is 3 km from the hotel. A taxi costs ± 8 € and takes 5 minutes. The Deluxe Room is very quiet & the Free minibar is very well stocked. At Check Out, they tried to charge for the Free (included) mini bar.
To far from city center and even worst too far from metro station.
The room was very clean and the staff helpfull. It is hard to believe this is a four star hotel. We arrived and our room was set up for a single and our door key needed to be rekeyed daily. I felt the breakfast was overpriced for the quality.
I could say, I like all the thing except those, I mentioned below. the hotel staff specially receptionist, all looks they are sick of this job, very lousy... the breakfast is very expensive,
The friendly and helpful staff
clean hotel , cheap , near highway , very big rooms cofee or tea in the room
Good value, clean with easy access to the City.
The rooms we had were clean, bright, roomy and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was just marvellous with quantity & quality (fresh) and catered for the early & late riser. Information from the staff was very helpful to us finding our way about. The hotel was new but functioning well and I thought some of the reviews were harsh. On our journey from the airport to the hotel we thought we had selected too far out of Munchen as we had no car, but the bus service from near the hotel to the city was frequent, fast, cheap & reliable. We have no complaints, enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.
Position good for ICM Lack of in hotel restaurant or assistance with what local eating facilities were available, especially on a Sunday!
It was quiet area. First we had Internet, than the service was interrupted. I called the Reception & they said I have to wait till tomorrow. Than the day after we had Internet for few hours, than again the srvice was interrupted. They don't have room service @ the hotel. We asked for few things, like an empty plate, a knief, etc, to eat fruits, they said we have to get it from the reception ourself, cause they don't have room service. Than @ morning we were sitting on the lobby & asked for 2 coffees. They brought us the coffee, but the cup of coffee were dirty. The daily maintenance service, used to come, leave clean tower & that's what the cleaning service. In general we weren't happy with the service. Thank you for your kind e-mail.
It was very quiet , possibly because I was in the higher floor and at the back
The area of the hotel was great. The rooms were really good. No smoking area. Expensive breakfast.
Staff were very polite and knowledgable, nothing was too much trouble. I had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.
Nice hotel for good money. Will use it again. Easy parking.
Excellent hotel close a little bit out of the city centre but close to the U bahn from which you can go anywhere. We upgraded to a room in the main tower which was supposed to be bigger but was still not very big, so be careful as the base room may be very small. I did not see these however.
Very international. Not the typical hotel setting you find in Germany. Nice features, very high quality room. Parking situation was not so great. Only options were expensive parking garage (which is very clean and connected to the hotel and is a nice option) or try to find a street level parking place. They should adjust the parking garage fee for hotel guests.
Chipped cups in the room, leaking shower, broken sink drain, hand wash pump broken. This was dissapointing and would stop me paying so much in the future when you can get better for less.
Location Price for long time stil same
Location. Service and accomodations were not up to the standard of a Five Star hotel.
The staff were extremely courteous and friendly. The pool was very beautiful.
Executive Breaktfast and Executive Lounge - very nice, good taken care of Although away from downtown Munich easy to get there - direct Underground
The room reserved for me had not any internet connection and TV was not working properly. I changed my room and moved to main bulding. Rooms at the garden site are not well as rooms in the main bulding.
the staff were kind. the Hotel is luxury and i used to stay here. they lost my personal towel while cleaning the room but the reaction from the room service staff was good and they found it. returned it after washing.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, they were helpful in any way they could.breakfast was nice.and great location
The hotel is right next to a major train station in between the airport and the city centre. 15-20mins from the airport and 15-20 mins fom the city centre. S-Bahn trains run late into the night so it was great for us as we were here for oktoberfest and getting back to the hotel at 2am was easy and cheap. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful and a well stocked bar ensured we had a well earned pint available for us when we arrived late on friday night. Not much in the area but there is a lovely bar across the road serving delicious regional food and great beers with a beer garden. Great breakfast with plenty of choice and fresh tea/coffee brought to your table. nice clean and modern facilities with a small cooker and microwave in the room. No safety deposit boxes in room, the breakfast only had one small domestic toaster so getting toast was a bit of a wait, would have expected a carousel type toaster like most hotels have. room cost was quite expensive, 200 euros a night for a double however it was oktoberfest so we expected the price to be higher than usual, that said, i would price this hotel for quality, location and facilities at maximum 100 euros a night so a 100% markup seems steep to me.
Staff very good, buffet breakfast which was included in price was great. Train service to airport and city centre frequent and quick. I did not realize how far from town it was, although train services were good, taxi's were very expensive after train services had finished
Close to the airport and the S Bahn. Clean, comfort rooms. Personal is friendly and polite. wi-fi in all rooms would be great
clean too early disturbtion through the cleaning team
Staff was extremely friendly. The girls at the restaurant get a 10/10 for appearance, friendliness and patience. Internet speed is very good.
Staff were friendly and welcoming and went out of there way to ensure that we were OK
Good fully met my needs in respect of hotel for the Expo Real fair. Close by. Having everything I need. Not complicated (unlike Hilton, Sheraton etc.) Noisy room facing railway track - penalty for booking too late.
One of the receptionist was very helpful and professional. In the bathroom, there was only shower and no bath tub.
Very clean.good breakfast near to train station.large room.
The staff was great, they changed all of the feather pillows and comforters to foam and polyser to help me aviod alergy problems. They also helped us with directions and reservations for various attractions in Munich. The sauna and turkish bath were great. Great Place! Wish they had a computer station in the lobby
The pillows Staff was not friendly, the room has ugly carpets, not a good value for what you pay.
Good breakfast fitness room not very good
The room had air-con which was great in the hot weather, the location was close to the messe, a shuttle bus was available, compared to other hotels this was far the best interms of price and location.
the quietness Breakfast it's too expensive !!
A nice laid back atmosphere, with staff on hand but in the background. All of the staff were very nice.
Even if location was far from city center it had a bus stop right across that could bring us dirctly to underground> theschedule of buses and underground were so good that everything was always on time and did not have to wait long> since it was octoberfest and could not get a nearer hotel to center still we liked your hotel cuz it served our needs very well. staff in front desk very accomodating to all our needs>
Excellent breakfast, easy checkin and checkout The service in the bar in the evening could have been quicker.
proximity to the Munchen Messe
The staff was extraordinarily friendly. The room was nice. No complaints about the hotel itself, for the most part. Good wifi. The location was so-so, about a km walk to the nearest S-bahn. However, we booked the room in the middle of Oktoberfest less than a week ahead of time, so it was better than what else was available. As other reviewers mentioned, the 21€ breakfast is not worth the money. We didn't notice until we were done eating that there was a little note on the table encouraging diners to order food to order, which might have made a difference? The cafe at Freidrich-Eckart Strasse and Daglfinger Strasse was a much better option.
Clean. Safe location. Walls were thing and noise traveled throughout the hotel and halls. I'm not sure if all Munich hotels are like this but the amenities were lacking: no washcloth, conditioner, complementary tea or coffee, etc. Our shower head and heater were both broken and we asked that they be fixed - neither were. It is inconvenient to get to Munich and there are very few options for shopping and eating nearby. It is quite a walk from the trains. I also stayed during Oktoberfest and though I am not sure what the rate usually is, it was not worth the money during this time.It certainly did not feel like a 4 star hotel.
Location, room (strongly advise to take the deluxe room with balcony), excellent breakfast, parking and staff courtesy) and a fantastic Park neighboring the hotel. No aircon!!!! It can be a nightmare durino summer.
Good location; good transport connections; nice well equipped, large rooms, nice breakfast with wariety of products Room cleaning staff is unexperineced and overworked.
Perfect location to access the city centre by U-bahn. Room was very spacious and had a large balcony with sweeping views of the park and meadows at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was served outside on the terrace facing the park. We were spoilt for choice during the breakfast.
As for me, it is one the best hotels I've ever seen.
the breakfast is excellent value I had requested a specific room which was not offered - I have been going to this hotel for 16 years, so this was due to the booking service. I will book directly again from now on.
The location in quit are inside of the park is really relaxing. Good place to stay with kids.
Very relaxing quality hotel, helpful staff, good food fresh clean room good leisure facilities, hotel on the edge of english garden for that relaxing walk..would return Short walk to the hotel leisure and restaurant building
Decent location and clean place.
Quiet location, good service, if you have a car is very good value for money in Munich.
The staff were so helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed The gym/spa is of no use, underground, cold, unwelcoming
super attention and excelent food nothing at all....just perfect
