I like this Hotel and stay there often.
Location was good. Bar & Restaurant were all very good although expensive - where isn't in Dublin?! Bed, although double, was a bit small and uncomfortable. Air conditioning in room did not work properly (room was freezing though we did not complain) as did guest services on the TV for one whole day so it was hard to find any information as that was where the hotel directory is.
central location; beautiful hotel the service in the hotel bar/cafe was very slow, I had to ask 2 different members of staff and both said they couldn't serve me, on locating the appropriate member of staff she was slightly unpleasant and when served the food ordered came sporadically and not all at once
Convenient locatoin and overall appearance of the hotel/room. Small room but manageable.
Decor and quality of room. Main reception was a bit officious when we first arrived. We had been delayed due to weather problems and I didnt think we got sufficient attention due to the fact it was late evening.
Quiet and good location gym was very minimal, staff not overly attentive
The front desk staff were very efficient and friendly all during our stay, from check-in, having a 4 pm tea with a group of 12, and at check-out. The staff in the bar were outstanding in their cooperation to assist in setting aside and preparing a place for our afternoon group tea. Wonderful Irish friendliness.
The central location of the hotel and car parking facilities and friendliness of the staff Slight confusement getting from the carpark into the hotel
The location of the hotel was perfect. Within walking distance to all central attractions in Dublin. The worst thing was on entering and leaving via the front enterance there was an awful smell of smoke and several people stood on the front steps smoking. Off putting.
central location poor dining in facilities
Staff went above and beyond to be helpful. N/a
We were staying 2 nights in Dublin and it was perfect. Good location, modern and I liked the big room. I didn't like the room's decoration in purples but it is my opinion. And I didn't like also the light in the room, it was poor.
Great Location. Extremely Friendly and helpful staff. Clean.
The staff throughout our stay were GREAT! Friendly, helpful, and polite, we were treated very well. The location is great for going out, just a short walk to Temple Bar. The rooms are tiny. We were a bit cramped both in the main area as well as the bathroom. Smokers hang out just outside of the main lobby doors so you're forced to walk through a cloud of smoke on your way in and out of the hotel. Very unpleasant!
The location was great for a tourist. Close to tour outlets, hop on and hop off bus stops and to a variety of restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, though small.
Clean near everything!!
Location and value for money
location, price, comfort
The standard of room
This hotel was in a perfect location for shopping being just off O'connell street with only a maximum 20minute walk to St. Stephens Green. (10minutes to temple bar area). The rooms were clean and modern with flatscreen tv. Breakfast is not included in the rate but available at an additional 12euros, however there are plenty of places to grab breakfast on O'connell street for less than this
have stayed here twice before.staff very helpful and polite.good service and good food.excellent location nothing
Central, satisfied with my choise Only one thing...the wash hand bason is funny...the tap is larger than it !! very uncomfortable
I really liked the room where i stayed and the people who worked there. There aren't.
Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Literally the bus stop from Airlink from the Dublin airport is right in front of the hotel.
Ideal location, very comfortable beds and friendly staff. No food available Sunday evening in bistro.
We got a free room upgrade, the staff were friendly and we loved the big comfy bed. Was very handy to get to and on site parking was great! The floors were very creaky and the walls extremely thin as we could hear people in the surrounding rooms!
friendly staff, great location
Our rooms had to be changed because of water damage at weekend but we were more than satisfied with the change and the way the hotel staff dealt with the matter. Hotel meal was nice and the entertainment good.
The rooms were lovely and very comfortable
Nothing apart from the friendly staff and the memory foam matress which gave me a rash and skin allergy! From the moment we went into the hotel the smell of damp musky air took the breath from us. Upon first entering the hotel it seemed pretty ok for the price that we were paying but as we entered our room how wrong were we. Middle of November with freezing tempetures outside and the window in the room open, took about an hour to heat with 'hot' air conditioning which i think was bringing in the air from the smoke room come beer garden so therfore we were choked with the fumes. The dust and dirt that was in the bedroom floor carpet was unreal considering there was 1 asthma suferer and due to this we couldnt really stay in the room too long. The bathroom was the same. And to end the so called bar downstairs--at your own risk enter!
The common areas very clean, cozy and updated. The staff very accommodating with extremely early check in. Great areas to relax. The room we stayed in was very small and had not been upgraded. Not a room they would picture on website.
The hotels location was excellent. Connelly station right across the street. Temple bar approximately 20-25 minute walk or take the Lucas.
Convenient to city centre, fabulous clean modern rooms, helpful staff Noisy, by railway line
The hotel was well sited and just what we wanted The room we were given was next to the lift and the railway ran right passed the window.Although they didn't cause too much trouble I would think twice about booking your hotel another time
right on bus line to/from airport, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was great selection and service, location was also good for walking to attractions and restaurants, bar was a fun walk back into time with a intimate beer garden. bathroom had black bold, shower head or water pressure needed some work.
Excellent food at both breakfast and dinner and comfotable room I know it's a public bar but the general behaviour, especially the bad language being used by some of the customers, was not what you would expect in a hotel bar. Perhaps a few words in a few ears might help make visiting the bar a more pleasant experience for hotel guests. By the way, the bar staff were very friendly and attentive.
I liked the convenience of the location and the receptionist when checking in and out was very polite and courtious and the place was spotless. I found the night porter to be very rude and unhelpful. We arrived back to the hotel just after 2am and when we enquired about the residents bar we were told in no uncertain terms that it was closed and that it wasn't his problem. I wasn't the only guest to think this. I cant understand how the residents bar closes before all the nightclubs in the surrounding area.
Convenient location and price Extra cost for parking at IFSC
It is very conveniently located, very close to the city centre and major transport links. It is in a very nice location on the banks of the liffey with fantastic views.
Friendly staff, no street noise in room and comfortable beds. Sound transfer through connecting door from adjoining room at normal conversation levels. Zero privacy.
Great location next to bustip for airport Amount & location of electrical outlets
Clean spacious rooms, good breakfast selection, good location (convenient for the Grand Canal Theatre), good for shopping with the Luas very close by.
Great back-up to the Spencer next door if you're strapped for time/rooms aren't available there. Courteous staff that will do anything to accommodate your needs. For the price, you can do better in Dublin. Had to ask for toothbrush, tooth paste, bottled water. I feel like those are pretty standard, though maybe that's not typical in Dublin.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact I had to pay to park my car. I have stayed in many hotels both with and without carparks and I have never had to pay before.
The pleasant staff, convenient location & comfortable bed. Also that the room was recently renovated That the breakfast wasn't included in the price.
The bar staff were very friendly The meal in restaurant had to be sent back as was not edible, the front desk staff could just about understand English
The location of this hotel was fantastic. It's a little walk to the temple bar area however very doable.
Modern, convenient, clean, safe. Will definitely stay here again. Walls are thin. Heard many conversations from next room. Also Oly's Restaurant is mediocre. Acceptable if you're too knackered to go out.
When I checked in everything went fast and I could easily access the Internet in my room and I didn't face any issue to call the reception to fix it. Once when I left my room early in the morning and returned around noon my room wasn't tidy, so after that I always put the "Tidy My Room" sign when I left my room. This is not that much bad but I expected it.
The staff were particularly helpful and friendly.
Great hotel, lovely bar and resturant, good location and excellent staff, would definately return.
Friendly staff at reception We stayed in the executive wing, which involved a long and covoluted access route. The smell of old fat and grease which emanated from the kitchen area and could be smelled from time to time in the lobby was offputting.
Our stay was great, Hotel warm comfortable and cosy. Perfect location to see Dublin city and to meet my family. Staff on reception very cheerful and welcoming.
Spacious room, very good breakfast, pleasant staff and convenient location. A very nice place to stay.
Staff very friendly. Rooms starting to look tired.
Friendly staff, enquiries dealt with quickly, waitresses efficient and friendly, breakfast OK, (but layout problem, see below) Breakfast area awkward split-level layout and cramped; duvets too heavy and hot; make sure toilet paper is checked (that there's enough)!
Good all round hotel within walking distance of all that Dublin has to offer
Rooms warm and clean. All tastes catered for on breakfast menu. I liked the facility to store luggage on day of departure for later collection
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was huge, bed comfortable, and the shower never ran out of hot water and had "full" power Parking garage is a little far and hard to get to if you have a car. There is no pull up driveway to load your bags and this made it a little bit difficult not knowing this prior to arrival
very nice and clean hotel. very close to the venue we needed to go to. nice friendly staff. I would stay there again. N/A
comfort and hospitality and location
It was comfortable , clean and rooms were soundproof. Breakfast was too expensive.
Was upgraded to an apartment overlooking river which was very comfy and had everything we needed. all shops were close by and staff were helpful and polite. also ate in the restaurant which was enjoyable. would definitely recommend the clarion to anyone with a family. The Foyer was lacking a centre area but had lots of chairs etc...
Got upgrade to an Executive Room as car park was full on checking in. Receptionist extremely helpful. Car park was full when we went to check in however was able to use car park at National College of Design just around the corner. Disappointed to find Kudo's Asian food not served on a Sat/Sun only during the week.
Staff were very helpfull.
Food at EAST restaurant . Carpet needs to be vacuumed and or replaced in rooms. Well trodden. Some staff at front desk helpful and some not helpful at all and made you feel like you were a bother. Would recommend this hotel. Breakfast in morning overpriced and overrated. Go in the square adjent to get good food and coffee.
Friendly staff, good facilities and location
Friendliness and ready to help staff attitude
The service at the front desk, restaurant, bar was over the top. It makes a stay that much better when you feel appreciated. There was nothing not to like!
The service was fantastic
It is so convenient to the center of Dublin No you get what you pay for......
Great staff, good breakfast, room was clean and suited our needs. Great for a pint downstairs on a Sunday. Drunken guests upstairs near the rooms - staff kept a close eye on security cameras but security may have been an issue.
The location was excellent. It could do with an upgrade but it is an old hotel. It is good value for money for a city center hotel. There could have had more choice for breakfast . There was no brown bread.
Good economic Hotel, Really in a central zone of Dublin, near the tourist info point, stop bus, park of remembrance same refining of the room but well, if u are looking for a cheap hotel this one work really good
calm, clean, comfort was exact what I was looking for, in thi price regime, good breakfast, close to the city centre
central location to O'Connell street and short walk to buses, Temple Bar and Visitor Information. Not a complaint just a little input, Would have liked all reception staff to have a more info re: public transportation, etc. but they did their best
The staff went out of their way to make me welcome. Any problems were fixed asap and the building is beautiful. Bed was crisp white linens and comfortable They are under renovation so a bit noisy one morning. No biggie. TV and channel selection is laughable but wasn't in room much
We enjoyed the staff.
I simply cannot recommend this hotel enough! It was excellent value for money. Ignore the negative reviews. The room was spacious and most importantly clean! Close enough to centre to be able to walk in. The area felt safe to walk in. The breakfast was splendid! Friendly waiting staff, good freshly prepared food. If you're looking for cheap, decent accommdation centrally located, book this!!!! The only negative thing I can think of to say was that it is next to a lap dancing club, ans was noisy Friday night, but then if you've been out yourself and coming back late, this really isn't a problem! Otherwise nothing bad about this place at all, I was very impressed!
Basic hotel in excellent location and excellent breakfast. Having to go out for something to eat in the evening
The hotel is well located.I was in a single room and I have to say I liked the comfort: the heating was working perfectly and the bathroom was very clean One of my pillow case has a hole on it and it wasnt replaced. THe most disappointed thing was the TV: there's no remote control and lack of channels.
Location Only one large towel and one face towel were placed in the room
location.. good to get anywhere!
Clean comfortable rooms Parking was kind of a pain
Good price for location, close to city centre, helpful and friendly staff
Cheap and good location Lost my phone in the lift shaft and the hotel didn't have any access to it.
English: If you like hotels in the heart of the city, in big busy noise street, this is a good locations hotel. Is a 2 star hotel not 4. The room is small, smells like cigarettes and has a bad heater. There's noting of luxury is the room. It's not worth the value.
3rd floor outlook on to market traders yard was disgusting.we actually saw traders urinating a few times.this should be looked at by the management.
Location was great. Despite the construction things were quiet but it was just a few minutes walk to all the key areas of city-center Dublin. The staff were courteous and very helpful in setting up a prompt can for an early morning flight. As may be expected in a chain hotel in a big city the staff were not local and did not have a lot of first had recommendations for places to eat or estimated times it would take to walk places.
The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfeast very goog.
The location of the hotel was excellent. Staff were friendly too. Price didn't include breakfast
The location is fantastic, very close to everything because it was just off O'Connell St. No.
Old style designing, large and spacious, clean if a bit tired, beds were very comfortable staff was helpful
Good hotel in good location 5 mins from centre, easy to find. Nice internal. good value breakfast in the price.
on saturday night we could not get a drink from the bar when we asked for one. early night in dublin' bar shuts at 12.30. first for me in a hotel.
Location is central intially one of the beds was broken so we had to switch rooms
The twin room we were given was spacious and faced a calm street so that we were not bothered by the traffic going through Talbot St or by the DART trains going into Connolly Station. The bathroom was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were free newspapers every morning and coffee-making facilities in the room. The location is very convenient, close to Busarás and Connolly Station, and a good walker can get to Temple Bar and Grafton St in 10 minutes. The Irish breakfast they offer is rather substantial and comprehensive, but we thought it was a pity that apart from cereals nothing was offered that even hinted in the direction of a continental breakfast, no yoghurt, no fresh fruit, honey, sliced cheese or ham. But we have to admit that the Irish breakfast got us through the whole day.
The location, the staff (Mags and Liz!), the BIB bathroom and the large size of our triple room. The beds and pillows were not especially comfortable. The food could have been better......
Location is very central to the City Center. It allows an easy walk to most of the main tourist sites in the area. The staff is excellent and very helpful. The attached restaurant is good. The rooms are rather small and there is a lot of mechanical noise from equipment in the alley behind and next to the building. The walls are very thin so you hear a lot from the adjoining rooms, particularly when someone has come back late from the pubs and is rather boisterous.
barpub below with live music everyday is fun room is very simple, water (cold/warm) was not good to wash .
Comfortable,Warm , Desk Staff excellent, Dining Room All staff Excellent but a Special mention for Carmel who always has a welcoming smile and can't do enough for you ****
Good location for our needs ( site seeing in and around the City; easy to walk to nite spots; felt safe and secure; lots of pubs and restaurants nearby), staff always helpful, noisy late at night - not a problem to us - transport to and from airport readily available from the hotel or public close at hand. No complaints
The staff were most helpful and went the extra mile when I couldn't get the printer to work to print my boarding pass. It was a fake out because it looks like it is coin operated but it all goes on your credit card. Posted information would have been nice. Great location. The two nights we were there a band was playing loudly in the bar. We were on the top floor and could still hear the them most clearly. The beds were pretty hard. The shower was a problem. The head wouldn't stay up but would ship to the bottom of the post it was on. That made it waist high on me. The temperature and volume on the shower came and went in spits and spurts.
Ground floor bar and entertainment. Great breakfast. Excellant location for visiting Dublin
I loved the location, I was able to get to see everything I intended to. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was charming. I utilized the wifi and never had any problems. They had entertainment and food available on premises which is very convienent. I would stay there again. The music/dancing/dinner show in the evening was fantastic but a little over my budget. And my seat wasn't very good to see much of the show.
It has a good atmosphere and is is ideally located. Poor views from most rooms.
Location Being downtown it was a little noisy.
Excellent location, good character bed not very comfortable, bathroom not very updated, couldn't control hot and cold in the shower
Rooms were of good size, very clean and even though in a lively area of Dublin near many nightclubs they were very well insulated and quiet. Nothing. It was a good experience all round
I thought the staff was very friendly and warm. The room was clean and basic, which was fine for our purposes.
frendly staff,clean room,excellent location....
breakfast the room had no heating and was very cold, at reception nobody told us to ask for switch on heating in the room
I liked the room in which we spent three of our four nights stay. The room in which we spent our first night was totally unacceptable.
The big modern rooms and the very helpful staff. Great value for the money!
really big, comfortable and light room with huge bed and very spacious bathroom; good location; very friendly staff :) the floor in the bathroom was rather cold
Management decided to separate my party sending half to another hotel only informing us upon arrival.
Very centrally located to everything! Very spacious apartment unit - perfect for family or group of 4. Check-in was very efficient and quick, as was check-out. Power adapter in kitchen drawer was a nice surprise. Apartment is great for sleeping and eating but it's furnished very strangely and there are not towel bars in the bath nor a mirror - nothing major but don't expect luxury.
staff were very friendly, it was convenient for the centre of Dublin. breakfast was poor, only one towel and pillow per person. only sky news on the television
Close to the centre, good quality breakfast Made to pay before recieving the key to the room even though i had secured it with a credit card. Only then did we realise we were not in the room we had booked. We were charged the same regardless. My girlfriend arrived before me and was not allowed into the room until she paid. I had booked it and was going to pay. So at 11pm she had the option of sitting on the street or having to pay herself. No tea making facilities, plug for the sink, stains on the floor and no heating until i asked at reception 3 times.
This is a really authentic B&B, with a full home-made Irish breakfast served - which is really nice, since fewer and fewer B&B's are offering this. The location is just great - right in the city center. This location was the main reason for us to book our stay in this hotel - convinience of getting to all attractions could not be better ! Services/facilites are adequate for a typical B&B in Dublin - they have been upgraded, but few more appliances could be more "up to date" (unlike, 10-15 years old ones). With this in mind, the price of Otello could be lower - since there are few more modernized hotels (bigger chains) who are offering exact same price with a little more upgrades.
The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were beautifully cooked and presented. The bathroom was miniscule- hardly room to dry oneself. The room was a bit "tired" - lots of scratch marks on the walls - but the quality of the service made one prepared to overlook the cosmetics!
Our room on arrival was smelling of cigarette smoke which was quite annoying as we asked for non smoking but when i brought it to the attention of the staff, i was not making a complaint, they were very quick to move us to a more suitable room. We were very pleased with the customer service we received. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a bit noisy but that was to be expected considering the location of the hotel. Apart from that we had no problems.
The hotel was conveniently situated and offered neat and value for money accommodation. The wooden florrs and staircases can be troublesome if you're not on the top floor and people are moving around on the floor above you.
The central location and kind staff poor bed madrass and no chair available breakfast can be improved. Selfservice ex.
The tipical irish breakfast served and the location, right in the centre of Dublin The room-though it was clean and just redecorated- was in the basement, so no view and a little bit humid
the staff were very friendly
Location Traffic noise
breakfast was good and very close to town center and staff very friendly the stairs we were up the top and on the the internet said there was sky tv but we did not have it
the location, pretty close to the downtown The breakfast and our room situated almost in the basement.
Not bad for a budget hotel. Our first room had a plumbing problem but the staff were quick to deal with this and relocated us, Thereafter everything was satisfactory, Breakfasts were limited in terms of range and quality. Shower room very small. Beds (especially pillows) were hard.
The location and the staff. No wireless internet in the rooms as advertised. The room was smaller than I expected.
I liked the location and the breakfast was good , overall great value for money.
Good position, very close to the center
Tv was not working in room.kettle was not working.table lamp not working.otherwise room was comfortable
Location is great for visiting Dublin's city center. Good breakfast and comfortable clean rooms. Basic amenities. Free wireless does not work in all rooms (ie. 107)....
Location was excellent None for the price
Very nicely located just off of McConnell Street. Easy to find and just off the bus line. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh cooked and tasty. Our room was on the 4th floor and they have no lifts. We had to drag all of our heavy luggage up about 60-80 steps. Recommend requesting a lower level room.
support of the staff, silence, size of the room wireless didn't reach the room, but I was informed by the staff at my arrival
Conveniently located, friendly staff, nice breakfast.
We liked the location of this hotel,a short walk to the main shopping area.
The hotel was located in a very easy accessable location with a nice walk in town the busy end of town. The hotel was clean and the staff very helpful. The breakfast was A1.
very central hotel bathroom was very small
the staff were very friendly, the location was great and the room was comfortable. Also the breakfast was superb. well worth the money. The bathroom was freezing cold.
The Hotel is in an excellent location. The Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The Breakfast was good. There was no negatives from our party.
The hotel staff were extremely attentive, accomodating and helpful. Breakfast was quite good. The location was great, right across the street from the Gate Theatre and near the Writer's Museum. Easy walking distance to all the sights in Dublin. The hotel had a slightly faded aura about it, shabbier than I had expected, but fine nonetheless. It's an old building, and the facilities have not been super-renovated (for instance, the bathroom sink was of the old sort, with separate cold and hot taps, and one sank in to the old lobby sofas such that it was difficult to get up), but all in all, it was a fine hotel.
It was a great value for the rate of the room. It was a very convenient location from the aircoach shuttle bus (O'Connell Street stop) to get to and from the airport. It was a short walk to see the sights of Dublin. I only spent one night and didn't spend much time in the room, but my room was clean and quiet. I would stay there again. The exterior building is a bit drab looking, but as a woman travelling alone, I still felt very safe in the area and it was only a short walk to see Trinity College, Temple Bar, Grafton Street, etc...
The location of the hotel was perfect for our first visit to Dublin. It was centrally located, near public transport lines, and within walking distance to all the main sites and tourist venues. It was not located near a pub and there was no partying keeping me awake at night! The staff was helpful and willing to offer suggestions and the breakfast was great!! The hotel is older but in good shape. It could use a bit of TLC to spruce it up a bit. There was also some traffic noise. However, none of this detracted from our stay or our comfort.
The hotel is just of O'Connell street making it fairly central. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful The room I stayed in was at the back of the hotel, you could feel the tempreture drop as you moved towards the back. I had to request that the heat in my room be turned on at 6 pm on the 1st evening as my room was freezing.
Excellent location for seeing the city!!!!!!!!! Bathrooms in need of revamp! All rooms had the same key!!
Location close to the city centre and the friendlystaff. Is on a noisy (sat night) street and would benefit greatly from double glazing.
Clean rooms. Pretty standard conditions. Great staff very friendly. Only problem is that the hotel is located on top of a very popular pub. Which may not sound like a bad thing at first...but if you need and early night or a mid day nap...it will be tough. The pub is very popular and the live music is incredibly loud even within the rooms. The outdoor smoking area is right under the windows of the back rooms..you can literally hear word for word..conversations of drunk people at 2am. If ya want a quick pint of something you just walk downstairs...I mean I guess there's an upside!
Hotel's staff was nice, the location of the hotel is very strategic to visiting Dublin, the pub is very nice The double room and the relative bathroom was quite small ... more choice for the international breakfast
Friendly Staff, good location Bedroom smelled of cigarette smoke from other rooms
good value for money, friendly reception staff, central location.
nice quiet room, excellent restaurant and pub next door, pub had brilliant traditional music. nice neighborhood. free ride to airport.
the location was very convenient to everything anyone would want during a visit to Dublin
location cleanliness, decibels....room 107... no sleep...
The location and comfy bed The NOISE....we were right above a hotel with live music - it was appalling. The bathroom was miniature and the room small (though that part did not bother me it may bother others). Regarding recommending this hotel - if you are young and like to party, or don't have early morning starts as we did then for the price and the location go for it. Otherwise I would not recommend it.
The staff were very friendly and efficient and the room was comfortable though quite small. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Lots of tourist and city information available. The en suite shower room did the job, but was decidedly minimal on space - barely room to turn round in the shower (and I'm not over weight).
The Clifden Guest house was clean and adequate . first impressions would be greatly improved if rooms had matching bedding instead of a mismatch of colours causing you to be disapointed at first opening of room door , the hallways are very nicely carpetted then open your room door and instantly feel let down .
That all four of us could share a room, have individual beds, and be comfortable. It was same price as a hostel, but far better. Great deal! The bathroom was tiny, but it was no problem at all.
Staff very helpful over parking, plenty of info material available, good breakfasts, surprisingly quiet (both internal & external noise) Felt a little run-down - eg fittings with no bulb in or damaged bulb. Would have preferred not to have to ring every time to get in the building.
Friendly staff, warm rooms on a very cold weekend, very clean excellent value for money and a reasonably central location.
very nice, very friendly staff, comfortable
The room provided tea and coffee making facilities - although we had to ask for a new kettle as the lead on the original one in the room was heating up instead of the kettle! The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable and the bedside lamp shades were being held on by masking tape. The window was old and let in a draft so heating had to be turned up to the full.Having to ring a doorbell to be let in at night was also slightly frustrating.
the location was brilliant and all the staff were excellent and very helpful the decor could do with updating and the bathroom and shower needs maintainance and repair
Very comfortable beds, basic accommodation but good value for money and close to the shops. Quite a walk to Temple Bar Room very basic, bathroom very small and sink was outside in the main room, quite noisy outside
location is good not far to town center . Friendly bath room is really small
Central location, easy walking distance to many major attractions I get that it's a big city and cities are loud, but this hotel is located next a tram stop and bus station which has an announcement playing every three seconds over loud speakers until about midnight. Building was not well maintained, floors creaked so I knew when all of my neighbors, up and down, were walking. Mattresses were hard and uncomfortbale. Staff was sympathetic but didn't do much as far as alleviating issues
i knew it from before, and liked it. no
Excellent shower in our room, staff very helpful, good location Breakfast ought to be included in the tariff
Very helpful staff, being close to the City Centre and close to the bus and tram links Restaurant menu
Friendliness of staff, fully equipped room, nice and warm and comfortable
Everything, the staff were extremely helpful, nice room, good facilities and easy to get around Dublin on foot.
The rooms are too noisy. It was impossible to sleep.
we had a meal in the resturant and it was fab.well priced, polite staff.
The friendly atmosphere and the very good location Dinner was closing at 10pm,but they permitted us to enter at 9.40 and while we were eating they where preparing the room for the nexr day's breakfast, creating a climate of anxiety. It would be more correct not to let us in,
convenient location; great breakfast rooms too hot; curtaining on windows poor, didn't exclude light; lot of noise from outside (even with windows closed) - didn't sleep well as a result
Ease of getting into town. Cleanliness of room. Good shower. Unpleasant smell in lobby (stale mop water?). Room right opposite noisy bus station and banging nightclub. Could do with better double glazing.
