Grand lobby Pleasant hotel aroma Clean Friendly customer service Couldn't control room temperature Rooms a little outdated
Great location, room was clean Old and they don't maintain the building anymore as they will close in 2018. Service not really at Hilton level, the good old days are probably over. I think the hotel offers the value of a EUR 50.- 3* hotel in France or Italy, that's it! The breakfast buffet is ridiculously expensive and average only. Service is not really 5* level. I wouldn't book the hotel again.
Staff very nice. Room was clean and quite. Great location I would stay there again
The staff were as professional and as helpful as any I've ever experienced. The meeting amenities and food were very high quality. My room was difficult to get to a comfortable temperature. The thermostat did not appear to have any bearing on the room which left me shivering through the night. Also, the fixtures in the bathroom were loose and the sink would not hold water.
Terrible next door guests kept trying to get into my room.
Very attentive, but not overdone and a great room very comfortable. Refreshing old world charm - it takes you back to a slower pace enjoying a drink at the Bull and Bear.
I liked the kindness of the staff and all the resources available to make the stay comfortable The room service food could be a little better and I'd like bubble bath to be offered at the spa. Everything else was fabulous.
THe room was amazing - largest I've ever seen in NYC. And sumptious. We were at the Waldorf during the Blizzard. Ordered room service for dinner (no restaurants were open) at 6:15pm, and they told us 1.5 hour wait. Fine, they were really busy. So, it wasn't until 8:45 that I called down to ask where was our order. It took them 15 minutes to discover that they had no record of our order, but they would expedite. So, we got our food by 9:20. One would have thought they would have comped us SOMETHING. Dessert, even. But, they didn't comp a thing. A REAL classy hotel would have offered something. Points off for that.
Staff and Bull and Bear. Grew up on the WA. It's looks very tired now though. Ironing board was broken, Almost burnt my foot off. Had to check out early, check out staff had no remorse or offering to lessen my bill. Good stay but they don't go the extra mile, which they need right now, considering the competitive landscape of midtown hotels and their current status as kind of a shitty/ outdated hotel. Sorry WA, I love you but either drop your price or update.
Staff was excellent Room was spacious and very quiet Room was clean Bed was very comfortable I would definitely stay again The bathroom was dated and needs to be refurbished The windows also need to be refurbished, it had the old school shade that you pull down that is spring loaded. It also looked for worn. The walls also needed a fresh coat of paint, once again there areas that just looked a little worn.
Great location old rooms
Attentive and tailored customer care.
The location is great. The staff was courteous. The room looked like it was from the 80's. The paint is cracking all over. Light fixtures not in securely and filthy windows. Carpet needs replacing and look around the ceiling you can see were there's a lot of repairs that needs to be done.
clean helpful I am used to complimentary breakfasts the buffet at $30 head was not that great! 0
i had to wait for over an hour in a lobby for a check in - the garanteed check-in time was 3pm, at 2:58pm it was still "too early"
All was well except for the last part of our stay where they wanted to charge 2$ for each bag kept in the hotel. They charged us for handbags that were actually attached to our carry ons so that was a total of 8$ for the bags... for such a hotel , I think that could be taken care off as a courtesy for guest. Smaller hotels even do.
The location of the hotel was perfect and very convenient. Our room was huge for being in Manhattan and the style was wonderful. My only complaint was the location of our room. We were right past the elevators and could hear everyone coming and going. We were woken up early by people speaking in very loud voices right outside our room for over 20 min.
Size of room
Was able to find street parking in the neighborhood within 1 block from the hotel. The room smelled like cigarettes. The lighting in the room was horrible. There were three small lamps total (desk and two end tables) plus one single ceiling light by the entrance. The shower curtain was very long and covered part of the bathtub floor, causing me to slip and almost take a nasty fall. Had it not been for the safety grab bars (it happened to be a handicapped accessible room) that I was able to grab onto, I would have fallen. And leaving the curtain on the outside of the tub (so as not to slip) causes the floor of the bathroom to obviously get very wet.
It was a nice hotel and the staff was all very nice, the free wifi doesn't work and the "premium" wants you to pay $15 a day. The location was great. Internet issues
Clean and convenient location. NYPD and NYFD right next door so you might hear sirens at all hours.
Quality room including quality furniture. All staff interactions were pleasant. I was lucky to get a good price. Excellent location in Midtown East, very close to the southern end of Central Park. Not a hotel for people who crave a view. My room was very much a back alley view
Rude staff long waits for checkin or any service Long waits for checkout. Substandard food in restaurant.
Convenient local with the 4,5,6 trains on the corner of the hotel. DeMarco coffee next door was amazing. Room was updated and bed was very comfortable. Close enough to everything without being in the chaos!
Location Friendly Helpful Kid friendly
Computer labs were out dated and charged for Internet and print use by the minute.
The staff was very nice. Several people went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Having to pay everyday for wifi is ridiculousz
Room was comfortable and clean. Quite as well. Doorman put me in a cab going uptown when I asked to go to pabt. He should have put me in can on 6th avenue. Took 20 minutes instead of 5 and cost me 10 extra dollars.
Great staff, quiet, convenient, elegant, beautiful. I'm a repeat customer and shall remain so. Any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Ready smiles from all you meet. Best location for my NYC visits.
BiG and clean room No coffee maker in the room and have to pay for wifi
2 blocks to Central Park and centrally located to so many great spots. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. 2 restaurants and a great business bar located within the hotel. Recommend room 2222 (king bed w/ view of Central Park and small outdoor area). Traveled for business but looking forward to bringing my family back. In room dining is super expensive but is was very good. Wifi is additional.
Hidden fees. Not disclosed until checkout
Location was great. It was close to central park, Times Square, museums, Empire State Building and convenient access to the subway to go to other areas. Staff was friendly and pretty helpful when asked questions.
Very friendly staff Excellent location
Great location and staff very pleasant
Easy location. Noise levels from road were quite loud. You can't sit in the bar area without buying a drink, even if you are a hotel patron. I had forgotten my phone charge and the hotel staff was not helpful in providing a temporary replacement, perhaps from lost and found. Instead I was referred to an overpriced in-house gift shop trying to sell me a micro-usb cable for 15-20$. Check-in is late at 4:00 pm. Room was tiny.
The room was ok, was not too happy with my experience here. The place was a "4" star and the hallways my family and I smelled weed When I asked the valet parking to get please get my car "I was told it took 20 minutes " I waited 50 minutes and no one came to let me know my car was ready, and they knew I was wait for it.
Wifi was great and entertainment and amenities on the ground floor were amazing. I had to change rooms because of the auto noise on the Lexington Avenue facing side.
The room was just what we needed with a nice size tv for winding down and a great night sleep on a comfortable bed. The highlight of the experience came on the last day, we had a late night with some friends in the city and wanted to go to a late brunch with them before heading home, we didn't think we could make it unless we had a slightly later check out time than 12p, which the front desk staff were very understanding and let us go to 1p at no additional charge! Brunch was fantastic and only possible because of the team at the Lexington. The room is a bit small perhaps for some, however in New York most rooms are that I have experienced.
Love the location, convenient to time square and Rockefeller center and Central Park I asked for more blankets and towels and they took forever bringing it to my room, my kids dropped soda on the blankets so I needed new ones
The location was great & the hotel is small but pretty. It was New Year's Eve & they were understaffed. The check in took too long, when we finally got to our room it wasn't cleaned. Very messy. Had to go back to lobby. They apologized and changed the room. Later that night the key for the room stopped working so we visited the lobby a third time. Then the tub got clogged. We left it like that and checked out in the morning. Nothing was offered for the inconveniences and we had to wait for about an hour to get the car from the valet which was other hassle because we lost the stub and had to go again to the front desk. I'd been happy if the parking fee at least would've been waived. Again, beautiful hotel & location but they need more staff.
Location was perfect. My room and bathroom were very small, even cramped. I glanced in other rooms while housekeeping had them open and they were much more appropriate-sized. Perhaps my "low priced room" wasn't a bargain, but just the price of a small room.
The rooms are perfect a d the beds are wonderful to sleep.the tv is perfect
Location The room had no AC, complain nothing happened, opened window, I could barely sleep because of the noise from outside
Door man was not in a service. Luggage deposit payable even in waiting for the room clearance.
Music at the lobby No toothpaste!
Accessibility/ location, customer service No sound insulation in rooms near elevators (room near elevator was outrageously loud because of elevator mechanism and doors continuously opening and closing). They moved our room, but could be a problem if hotel is full.
the location next to Rockefeller center
Great Location and services, comfortable room, bar and food was excellent. Delighted with the thoughtful ref. books left in our room and the "Club" atmosphere. *****
Room on floor 5 under fitness center on 6, Very distracting with pounding of treadmill at most hours. Renovation needed on room (stained sofa carpet not vacuumed, bath door off support called and told didn't have part in stock to fix, glasses not cleaned etc.) Level of customer service minimal. will move on next trip to other hotels.
It was central to everything in NY, within a few minutes walk you were in one of the major attractions of NY. It was reasonably priced. Good servicing. The room was a bit small, but was bearable.
Location. Amiable staff. Free internet Reception. Sometimes you have to wait too long to th elevator
Location was perfect for marathon activities and staff was very helpful. Rooms a bit small, but ok for value.
The location was great. It was extremely clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. I would appreciate having a airport shuttle.
Great location. Clean and friendly staff. Nothing special. Would like to use it next time too.
The staff were unhelpful, rude and the room wasn't clean or to standard. Thoroughly disappointed.
I liked best the kindness and the availability of the staff. The bed sheet was not done carefully, except on the first day. The cover was just drawn.
Quick and easy check in and check out; tight security; pleasant, budget-friendly rooms Problems with electronics--TV difficult to turn on/off, alarm clock malfunctioned, heating/cooling system unresponsive to thermostat
The views from our tower room were amazing. Staff were helpful and courteous. I would especially like to thank Ces for his personalised service, even though the shuttle did not not pick us up. We were given the wrong information regarding where to board our shuttle service and consequently, missed our transfer to the airport. The shuttle service was rung by reception at the hotel, but the company told us we had been given the wrong information as to where to meet the shuttle and they were not willing to provide us with another service to the airport. We then had the added expense of a taxi fare to JFK, to meet our flight. I did not appreciate this. Also, given the cost of accommodation, I would like to have seen internet access built into the price, not as an additional cost to the customer.
It is successfully located - in the center of Manhattan, near to city centre and sights Stopped in 5* parts of hotel. All strongly become outdated, noise both from street, and from the lift and hotel, the sanitary technician and other demands serious reconstruction. Full not conformity to the price offer. A level 3* plus.
Lovely location, very good service. The room was very nice but the bathroom was quite poor in comparison. Enjoyed Sunday brunch. Had a problem with checking in....had the reservation under the wrong name. Didn't like breakfast in Oscars...the food was poor and the coffee was cold
We think this is the best boutique hotel in New York. Impeccable service, historic surroundings, magnificent public rooms. Great room service food. A bit pricey, but so is everything in NYC.
thanks for the great service.
Great location! Hotel was within walking distance of pretty much everything! Staff was extremely friendly & accomodating. when in NY again for fun, this would be the first place I would look to book. Not overpriced but still seemed like a luxury stay. Thanks Marriott! Nothing. the stay was amazing
Hotel was excellent! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean with very comfortable bed. Very close to the sites. 10 minute walk from Rockefeller, 20 minute to Time Square. Very safe area, would definitely recommend.
Good price, very clean. Great staff, very friendly and helpful Small room for 4 adults.
Clean, great location, helpful staff, would highly recommend if you're just staying a few nights. We found this problem everywhere so it's probably just a personal preference, what's with USA and no kettles only coffee machines? I just want a cuppa after an lond touristy day.
The staff is very kind and familiar. The breakfast is complete, well prepared and permited us to visit early the city.
Staff were Friendly, Location was perfect
i arrived the hotel at ten and didnt have to wait until 15 for ckeck in, they gave me a room and did everything very very quickly..that was a great start. I went with my ten year old daughter and found the hotel couldnt be better for our stay. Breakfeast was perfect! location too...we walked everywhere...times square...rockerfeller center...central park..Moma..!! even build a bear and american girl...!! we had places open 24hs to buy something to eat or drink...free wifi ..and had a place with two computers in case you dont have your own! room ok too!!! clean ..small as all rooms in NY. ,but you only use it to sleep !!! they kept my luggage after i did my checkout!.. couldnt have chosen a better hotel for my stay with my daughter.
this property addresses all the necessary parameters i.e. location, comfort, staff, facilities and services. gr8 experience
The staff was extremely friendly, they made us feel like customers and friends at the same time, a little bit like staying with the family but always very professional. Whenever we needed something everybody did everything and always with a smile. We will definitely choose this hotel again. The breakfast was excellent, the location is also very good.
the location is very good! The Hotel staff isn't helpfull. They charged two days more even though I've left two days early. And they recived a packege for me after I checked out.
Location One of us was literally in a basement room with no windows. My room was so small I could barely move.
It was a small quick little hotel located right near Time Square. While the room is about 2/3 or 1/2 the size of a typical room, the price and location makes it ideal for those that don't tend to spend much time at their hotel, but want to be located close to Time Square and the subway. The hotel staff was very attentive and nice to deal with. It has a really small room and there is no refrigerator to put our drinks, but since we only stayed one night, that was too problematic.
Location is excellent. Hotel was also very clean. Cold drinking bottled water was available for hotel guests which was great in the NY summer heat. NY hotels are expensive so must say Club Quarters is value for money in comparison to others.
efficient welcome via the automated check in/out system and helpful and willing staff. Free use of computers and rooms comfortable and hotel very convenient for Time Square et al.n
location room size -small
The room and bathroom were spacious for a NYC room and with a coffee maker. The bed was not as luxurious as it appeared, the pillows were nice but the bed was rather stiff. Compared to the rest of the room it needed to be upgraded. The work out room was like being in a dungeon, ancient equipment, located in the basement in a really small space with low, low ceilings. A good amount of the space was taken up with an ice machine, soda machine & water despencing system.
It's location. Very central to Times Square and walking distance to 6th and 5th avenue. When checking in we found the receptions very distracted and unfriendly but this was not the case when served by other members of staff.
Friendly staff, nice hotel, wifi with no charge, 2 PCs with Internet connection in Lounge for general use like on-line check-in for air travel. First room (no 611, at the back of the hotel) was small and very noisy due to air-conditioning outside in the alley. Staff were very helpful in transferring us to another room on the street side at the top floor (no PH05) the next morning. This room was more spacious and had more luxury. Noise from the street did not disturb us at all. Very well situated at 45th Str between 6th and 5th Av. and at walking distance of e.g. Time Square/Broadway, 42nd Str, 5th Av, Empire State Building, and even Central Park, etc. Café Manhattan right across the street is very nice for breakfast & lunch.
It was quiet refuge to come back to at the end of the day, and it's proximity to Times Square, theater district and dining made it very worth while.
Location of hotel good. Had a room on the 10th floor which was small but adequate and reasonably comfortable. Free internet (with printer for boarding pass) in hotel - very useful.
central position poor view, and breakfast service in restaurant
The staff was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Free Wifi and breakfast a real bonus! Close to subway stations. Great Location!! Construction noise next door is very annoying!!
It was a small hotel and very quiet. The breakfast needs some upgrading.
Very nice hotel, large room, and extremely pleasant staff. Hard to say it was a deal at $289/night, but it is NY. I've stayed in lousy places for $200/night, so I'd gladly take this option. I highly recommend.
Doorman - Matthew Kelly - excellent. Over crowded breakfast room.
The hotel was in a great area, convenient to everything! It was a really nice hotel and staff were friendly and extremely helpful!
The staff is very helpful with whatever your needs are, the rooms are very clean and the hotels location is great. (5 min walk from 5th avenue) The breakfast was, as most hotels abroad, not up to norwegian standards.
Excellent staff, easy to get to the hotel, location couldn't be better breakfast wasn't good enoguh, some fruit or cereal would be apreciated
Good sized room with good facilities. Friendly and efficient staff who made you most welcome. Lifts that were fast and efficient. Excellent internet facilities
Staff was great. Location was perfect for us. We would stay there again Did not get king rooms. We were told it was upon request. Nothing in our paper work indicated this.
Extremely friendly staff; super-clean rooms that were good in size for NYC and the workout facilities were clean. The usual hotel soaps, shampoos, etc. were all Aveda products, which were a nice touch. Reviews I'd read before booking said the breakfast was nothing special and that was accurate. It was a continental breakfast - coffee, juice, toast/bagels, yogurt and cottage cheese. For the price it would have been nicer to have at least cereal and/or oatmeal with milk as an option.
that it was a suite with a kitchenette
Complementary breakfast was was skimpy.
Service, service, service. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Staff was all smiles, even the guys painting the hallway, so I'm assuming this place treats everyone well. The room was awesome! I ordered champagne at 1 in the morning, the guy helping me confirmed my order - then called back 10 minutes later to tell me they were out of the bottle I requested but they would give me the next option up at the same price. Had an awesome stay. This is the first time I have stayed at a hotel where I am struggling to write something here. Prices of the hotel bar maybe? Not really a fair complaint as this is a luxury hotel in NYC.
Great staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Especially door men and bell hops. Arrived in rain and they were right there with umbrellas. Stayed on 4th floor and often a loud noise in the walls would wake me up. Possibly related to ventilation or pipes?
Friendly staff, great bar, and well priced. The rooms are a little small but we've had smaller in Manhattan.
Very Friendly and attentive staff. Location away from Times Square but still walkable. Proximity to Central Park! Very Clean Rooms that seem to be a rarity in NYC! You need a cab? The Doormen have that handled quickly! Hotel Car service to the Airport is a value for the money! I did come home with bug bites on my legs that itched through out my stay there. I can't say for certain it was from the bed but may have came from room.
Nice staff Remodeling so no restaurant or bar, small lobby
- room was extremely clean, decor was very nice - the size of the room king room was perfect with plenty of space to feel comfortable and not cramped like typical NYC hotels - bathroom was good size and extremely clean - location was great (midtown east but more central and just further away from the tourist traps that you can get a nice night of sleep) - hotel restaurant was a little small but efficient for an early breakfast. - this is officially my new go to hotel when I have short business trips in NYC. The price is great and it has everything I need. i don't have anything negative to say about this hotel.
Good location, friendly staff, clean and decent sized rooms for NYC. Reserved 3 "deluxe double" rooms but when I arrived front desk told me those are not guaranteed when booking through 3rd party website (then why do they give you an option of what type of room you want). Anyway, I received 2 deluxe doubles and a king room with a roll away bed. Not ideal but the king room was large and the rollaway was actually pretty nice. Also, valet service is SLOW. Call at least 45 minutes ahead for your car.
The staff was pleasant and very helpful. We loved the location. We were right in the mix of everything and in walking distance to the metro. Bar/restaurant was a bit pricey for what we received. Felt a bit nickel and dimed...i.e. Charges to make a phone call.
Clean and pleasant. There was not coffee machine. The refrigerator was not working properly and did not get cold.
Room was large, bed comfortable Street noise, room keys failed to work multiple days in a row, knocking on my door at 6:30am despite DND. I've stayed at OneUN, and at the Candlewood- in both places i felt that the cost was more aligned with the quality than it was at at the Omni.
Nice hotel but the best was the location Only complaint was that my room did not have a DVD player although the hotel info book listed a couple hundred DVDs available for free viewing. Normally this would not be a big deal but one evening we were tired and just wanted to watch a movie for a couple of hours. With the cost of DVD player under $50, adding them to all the rooms would not be that costly.
the lounge area and jazz music the hotel was overheated and rooms very old fshioned
Good location, my room was quite big for NY standards. The room decor was quite nice. Extra sink, coffee machine and iron in the room. Complimentary WIFI is a big plus. The bed was much too soft, my shoulders didn't like it. :-(( There was a stange unpleasant smell when I entered the room first time. There was no tube stopper. The button for the lift in the lobby can kick you a bit. Interior is nice but rather old.
The hotel room was nicely furbished Regrettably the room was very noisy so it was difficult to sleep! The breakfast room was very tiny and you had to queue to get in
The staff was incredibly helpful with any questions that I had Figuring out how to use the bath. The stopper is actually outside the bathtub.
The combination of American comfort and European slightly quirky sophistication makes you feel at home. Staff was very friendly and proud to serve. I didn't have time for the movies, books and arts but it gives a great touch to being there. no!
Location, on-site bar and cafe, easy internet, excellent beds Minor criticisms - bathroom/bath could be updated and heating could be easier to control/turn off.
Location, room, bed, staff air condition system 9very old) did not work very well, and hot water at shower was unstable (spams of cold and hot water) , very old faucets.
the room was nice it was clean and the lady that cleaned the room was very helpful and asked every day if she could do anything for us as a regular visitor to newyork this was a first the lobby was very shabby and could do with up dating after all its the first place you see
Convenient to businesses in midtown.
A terrific small hotel with helpful staff, high standards and human scale.
The hotel has a good location. The bell service is appropriate. In my personal opinion the hotel is a bit overpriced.
Room rate Location
Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful
Good location; nice rooms; excellent, helpful staff Pull-out sofa not very comfortable;
Spacious room for ny standards and price. Very helping staff, especially the concierge and nice lobby.
This hotel was so clean and beautiful, with comfortable beds and complimentary pillow service which we loved trying!! The staff was so friendly and helpful, gave great advice and recommendations on food and directions, and took great care of us! My only complaint would be that the wifi is so expensive, $62, but since it was our first time staying at the Benjamin, the concierge attendant was kind enough to comp that for us.
The staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. They even sent my Mom a birthday cake up to the room with no prompting from me. They just overheard us talking about her birthday. Very nice.
Central to the places I needed to visit. Reasonable price for New York City.
What a Fab hotel, Staff Friendliness, Great Location, Large Suite,
my room after I forced the front desk to give me a bigger room the original small room
Personal service from front desk staff was wonderful. On our arrival William sent milk and cookies to my girls who thought that was great.
I pay more money for the a SPECTACULAR ROOM which should be bigger and with city view, but actually I got a room the same as a COZY ROOM. It is different from the picture shown in the booking web site. I felt I have been tricked. The bar was very noisy until at least 1 am. I could clearly heard the drums although i was on the 10th floor.
Very clean and professional. I reserved a room with 2 beds and they had no more left at the time of check in and then the best they could do is one queen. I was traveling with my brother in law and was not comfortable sharing the bed. They could not even offer a cot.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The heater was very loud. The binder listing the "amenities" was beaten up and contained vague information. There was no room service menu. Breakfast room service was vastly overpriced.
Great location Very comfortable bed Good for drinks The size of the room was small
I like the food & drinks at the bar/lounge area downstairs and the waitress was nice. The front staff was disrespctfull and they took an hr to bring my car out from the garage area . Room was small and tigth.
Very small room for a very high price
We paid extra for a "Wonderful" room - supposedly larger, with city views, but when we arrived, we were disappointed by the view of the wall. We were told no other views were available. Our room had a constant fan going in the bathroom - quite loud and no way to turn it down. The room was small, and yet a large display of snacks took up most of the horizontal surface. The flat screen TV was mounted on a large pole in the corner of the room: one had to pivot it to get around to the bed- a tight squeeze. When our room was made up, they forgot to give us drinking glasses and facecloths. And on our last night, we received a call from the front desk at 6:32 AM, by mistake. Needless to say, we don't plan to return. W..t.f...
Location We had three rooms for 3 days and neither one of the families staying were pleased with the cleanest of the rooms, specially the bathrooms. The assistance at the front desk was way under what luxury hotel will provide. The staff was not to the standards of the price of the hotel nor of a well trained staff.
the location staff and service
I thought the hotel was nice rooms were clean. Bathroom door was a sliding glass door. Not very private.very little pressure in shower.
Location location location! Somehow got the only hotel in NYC that didn't have a warm holiday feel to it.
